I was able to join in on the walk.
The remembrance led by family members from the Chokecherry Murders of 1974.
I got to listen to their stories and how the government didn't help.
3 yt men did what was known as "Indian Rolling" and killed 3 Diné youths.
This is just some of the things I felt comfortable enough capturing.
There was several hrs of stories from Diné elders. There was Trauma Informed Care tables.
There was Diné elders that helped.
The community is strong.
That's my biggest take away.
COMMUNITY!!!!
Even the tables that talked about their relatives recently gone missing and are murdered.
The community support helps them continue.
