I genuinely think that when OwlBear does another Warhammer cRPG they should do Nectomunda. Rogue Trader was really good but doing the same thing over again.....why? We already got to experience the highest echelons of power, so let us experience the lowest. Playing an imperial agent, possing as a merc trying to reach your goals while balancing working for the different factions. Also because you are no longer a RT you will need to use the type of weapons more usual to Nectomunda. With reliable ranged weapons being all too rare, it will lead to a more mixed builds. I mean currently in RT you have a heavy bolter build doing all the work, with the officer companion putting down any survivors. In some battles all I did was use him and the Sister with everyone else just standing back. I love that game, but the balance is kinda messed up in some places.
question how would the necrons fair against the imperium with access to all of the dark age of technology? would it make humanity strong enough for the necrons to consider them a threat and unite to fight it rather than just viewing all the other factions as pests at most and fight amongst each other for dominance like their currently doing? and how would a united necron empire deal with fighting a war against the now dark age tech imperium?
The necrons fighting humanity with DaoT gear would still be largely superior, but they could actually massively hurt the necrons enough for them to gather in my opinion.
