in the game mechanics, can you drop Harad as an Ally and then give Dol Amroth back to become allies? Still love the vids just a good month behind. Playstyle is awesome and enjoying content a lot. Would like to see and Ar-Adunaim playthrough in the future where they go good and start in Tharbad. Only good faction campaign i can recall the 'good' did well was the bree one, if their is another one pls let me know since i enjoyed it so much:). Anyways keep up the fantastic work!!
Honestly cannot remember which campaigns good factions went well, there have been so many. Maybe in AA Gondor/DA did ok and EW maybe Dale/Elves/Erebor/Dorwinion did ok. I really don't know. I did 3want to do another AA some time. Tharbad is the start location that you're kind of meant to go to and I figure most people already do that. I was think KD or Isengard, right in the middle of the map.
Best of luck getting AA or Mordor to attack....I've never seen it successfully accomplished in DAC...but if anyone's going to break the AI it would be you
You should do a quick experiment with diplomats. Put like few millions or more with cheat codes and check how much money do they really need to attack khand or dol guldur. After u can reload an save and continue. I really wonder how much it takes 🤔
@duumek201 Kind of did that with offering 6 (I think) settlements plus the 50000 and 5000 a turn for 10 turns. Built up settlements are worth about 50000. That got it to balanced so it's close; so around 400000, 500000 would be guaranteed, I would think.
@@epmtotalwar Actually here is an improved plan: 1. You take Osthil sell it to the dwarves, hide 2.Take Minas Morgul to sell to the dwarves and then hide 3.Wait till mordor forces are exhausted again and then take Maranoon from them to sell to the dwarves. Mordor will then be trapped unless they go to war with the dwarves in which case the dwarves will have already got an army up by then and will take a lot of mordor forces with them plus you can continually sell it to them if a stronghold falls which will buy you time to instigate the war between mordor and dol gouldor and allow you to focus on Dol Gouldor and their snow orc allies without any interference.
It spawns when they lose the settlement of Dol Guldur. Meant to counter an early all in. Similar to Isengard but Isengard also get a 'below three settlements stack' too.
@@doma7956 That's really hard to answer. The boring answer is Gondor, you start with a heap f territory and most importantly you have direct control over Mordor's expansion. So coming to mid game the biggest threat in the game should be under control meaning you are free to do whatever you want on the map. The more nuanced answer is Enedwaith. Extremely strong early and quick to get off the ground being a wildmen faction but with the changes in V5 they become a late game powerhouse with their mainline tier of units. Their chariots have decent mirco potential and you never have to fear mumakil/great beasts since every second lad has a javelin. Unique eco structure in coastal settlements and you start with a bunch of neutral settlements around. EW is not easy though, it just has a lot of potential. Khand and Rohan are also strong contenders since they both can put the brakes on Mordor early and they are almost entirely cav based which in the hands of the player is broken strong. Frankly, I could make pretty strong arguments for 3 0r 4 other factions but I don't want to write a book 😂 ND with the reunited kingdom mechanic basically puts you in command of the north and south, a painful experience but gives the player direct control in 2 or the 3 theatres on the map.
I really appreciate the detailed answer. Currently playing an EUR Khazad Dum campaign, looking to start an enedwaith campaign after recently facing them as HE. Their spam is strong. @epmtotalwar
that dol guldur general is mad lad xd
Craaaaazy Eyes
This is a real deep dive into med 2 mechanics in how to play. My favourite campaign ever
You got me hooked into your content and so far this is the best campaign and last for me because I'm too addicted 😢
Taking a Khandish settlement you don't want and giving it to the AA could end up in Khand attacking them. Might succeed where money has failed.

I think it can be done, just will require a lot of money, I could cheese it with cash per turn and cancel it but I don't like doing that.
good video

May I suggest selling East Osgilioth to the dwarves the next time you take it?
That sounds like a great idea.

dol guldur got it's last stand army? I thought they owned the whole north last epidode?

What is the strongest faction currently?
In this campaign, DG is well above everyone else.
@@epmtotalwar I meant as the player character in v5, which faction is the strongest or has the best potential?
