    just came back from a 6 night backpacking Colorado trip and it rained every day hard. mine had no issues no condensation it was perfect.. I used the footprint and made sure the fly had tension. my only complaint is the pockets inside are about worthless flimsy and there's no top hook

    the cons might not be a big deal where you live. But to me the cons seem pretty big and outweigh the pros. Good interview thx

    Dan Becker also reviewed this tent and compared it to the Big Agnes Tiger Wall 2p.

    Just bought this tent and it looks solid however, it does not weigh 2lbs 4oz it weighs 2lbs 7oz, and with the ground tarp included it weighs 3lbs 1.5oz still pretty light but the claimed weight is wrong, atleast on mine.

      Hey Chris, I’ll have to double check mine but I took a look at marmots website and it does say the base weight is 2lbs 4 oz

    Great review. I have the older marmot force 2p and 3p tents which has a slightly different design and venting. Did you ever get to compare them
    ?

    I have this tent, I love this tent! I do however have the condensation issues where the Rainfly sticks to the inner tent. I have always lazily pitched it without the guylines on the fly itself, but maybe they're pretty much mandatory. haven't tried it out yet, do you have any knowledge to pass on about this? Great review by the way!

      Hey, To be honest I've never taken the time use the guylines either. I'll try it out let you know how it goes

    The fact that there is no venting concerns me, as the condensation could potentially be a huge issue on a cold night.
    What is your experience with the condensation issue?
    How has the tent held up under heavy rains?
    Thanks!

    I think the no venting is the biggest reason to NOT buy this tent. I’d rather carry another pound and be dry in the morning.

    What do you use for the ground sheet/ foot print?

    • @peterolivastri4346
      @peterolivastri4346  3 года назад

      For right now I went with a budget friendly option and bought a thick plastic table cloth. It cost around $10 and seems to do the trick until I upgrade to the actually ground sheet for the tent.

      Im guessing from your comments this isn't a tent you want to get caught in the rain with? I just bought one on sale and feel like I'm already regretting it lol.
