I have the same style but just a little longer. It took 10 years off. I Love it! Feminine but short. Easy style and can do a lot with it.

Hah! I was looking at the background and I thought, 'Wow, that looks like AZ block wall. I wonder where they are!" Love that you guys are in AZ. I think the Bixie is the answer for my fine, thin, aging hair. I'm ready!

Love the cut...would've liked to see the blow-dry process from wet to finished. I have a similar cut with wave in my hair and REALLY struggle with getting my long side bang STRAIGHT!!!! The minute it starts air-drying, it starts to "kink". Any tips on how to straighten would be appreciated! ( FYI: I use a leave-in spray conditioner and heat spray before blow drying. I have both a 1" and 2" diameter round brush.) Hope you'll be doing more hair videos. Thanks in advance for your help!

Great question… Maybe a couple things to try… a lot of our clients have luck using a product called the InStyler which is a rotating iron/brush to help with straightening or de-frizzing the hair. Makes for easy styling once you get a hang of using it. If you want to stick with the traditional method of round brush styling try adding a smoothing product such as: Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray Anti Frizz Treatment etc. to your routine. Of course these are only suggestions hope this helps :)

This style looks similar to my cut that I’ve had for several years but after a few weeks I get anvil head. The sides grow out more than the top. I have very thinning hair at the top. Not sure if it’s thyroid, stress or Covid hair. I like more of the piecey spikey look especially bangs for my, as my BIL calls it, five head. Yes I have a large forehead.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Sounds like you have a cute cut that works for your fine hair type. Slightly textured bangs are great for volume etc. Remember… shorter looks can require regular or more frequent maintenance due to the different rates at which the hair will grow on the head etc. Well worth it though :)

Hairstylist cut my hair into Bixie but I think I need more of texture in my crown and bangs. It seems to heavy! I would appreciate if you could give me some of yours expertise advance.

Without seeing your cut and going by what you are saying if your crown and bangs seem heavy texture would really help to lighten the look up and give more movement. Also it could be that the styling products you used may be weighing it down. Make sure to direct your mousse or gel at the roots for lift and volume. Hope this helps a bit :).

Not crazy about the back. Side and back look disconnected front looks great!

Thanks for the observation… there are many adaptations that one can try with this cut. Connected, disconnected, long bangs, shorter bangs etc. anything goes that’s what makes the bixie so versatile.

That seems to be a bit of my problem. I am thinking outside my small towns box. I love sideburns (if that’s what you call them on women) and over the ears cut instead of having the hair cover part of my ears or tucking hair behind the ears. It freaks a lot of these stylists out. I really don’t think what I want is over the top or avant-garde.
