你的口语很标准, 好酷! I'm impressed with just 6 months your pronunciation is so good. I'm doing HSK5 atm and trust me writing the characters gets so much easier once you've built a solid base of like the first 500. After that, they're mostly just variations on characters you already know with slight changes to radicals, good luck!
@@aza6513 Personally I started learning Mandarin without learning to write- but I got to a stage where I was progressing really slowly. Tbh, it's definitely worth learning writing, and it's not as hard as everyone makes out once you get past the initial struggle of not recognising any characters. Also, it opens you up to the culture waaaaayy more!
@@aza6513 also for things like media, you won't find any pinyin subtitles, they'll all be characters. And if you want to read then you should learn the characters- though having said that, you'll get to a stage where you encounter new characters and don't really need to learn to write them because the radicals are so familiar
so I can probably recognise and pronounce a lot more characters than I can write, and I think it's actually the same for a lot of Chinese people in the digital age of texting

You are amazing, learning so many languages! I’m American of Chinese descent and can pronounce mandarin fine but vocabulary is very lacking so can only carry on conversational mandarin. Starting to get into building my vocabulary since I never cared to as a kid. A really awesome Chinese show to watch (it has subtitles) is Go Ahead. It’ll make you cry and laugh! Thanks for letting me know about the course! I want my biracial daughters to learn mandarin and since I’m unable to teach them, this will be very helpful!! And you have beautiful handwriting in English and Chinese!!!

i passed my HSK 1 in my first year highschool now im in fourth year and still i don't think gained enough knowledge, now im bothered when my mom said i need to focus myself studying Chinese so I'm getting myself together, starting to HSK 1 again then little by little tho mandarin is also part of my subjects. btw thank you for your video i feel more motivated!!

Thank You So much. I just picked up Mandarin a little more than a month ago. Unlike you, I write my chinese characters in such a ugly manner! Your video was very motivational for me. I am currently at HSK 2 with a tiny vocabulary of only 250 words in Mandarin. I hope I really will be able to completely learn the language. I find the writing part the hardest followed by reading, listening is not very hard but speaking and my pronounciations are not very good. The grammar is mostly easy and very logical. Thanks again

That’s normal when foreigners study another languages. People tend to write characters from the standard versions cause this is how we train to write.
