@@Merakai01 He probably prefers it a part off him the freedom and whole life style some enjoy the controll over own movements n all dudes like the sorta wild man spots n survival by own means but people are embarrassed too admit a part off them or finds it more safe or comfortable or less stress plus being away from modern lifestyle but it's all complex person too person ..he deffo speaks well but intelligence is very subversive he could struggle with certain things that are easy peasy too you and may have a circumstantial reason why this is so such as a trauma/traumas...its very varied why people end up how they end up but yh sure he had some wet cold hungry days but what don't kill ya makes you stronger and all that but best luck too him I not seen part 2 so I may be speaking too soon on something just few thoughts ...cheers reading 👍

Such a sensible intelligent cave dweller. Was quite shocked when he was saying being without drug addition or mentally ill. You stand little chance of getting any help. That is really appalling. The man was strong enough to resist the traps around slipping into drugs and getting tied up with mental health problems. I really admire his attitude to how to control his way of life. I hope as he gets older life will repay his strength of mind to give him a better deal in life.

I know a bloke who's been a violent nightmare, alcoholic and thorough nuisance for most of his life. He got thousands as a PIP payment and bought himself a new car. I know another one similar who got done for having guns in his house. He was given everything including a freshly modernised and decorated flat. He hung himself in it. I guess that means they were eligable. Entitled to all that help for causing untold misery to their families, their girlfriends and just about everybody they interacted with.

As a legal imigrant in this country I agree with this man, I've been here for 18 years, going to school and working. It is really sad that native British people are portray as the enemy of this country, meanwhile giving hands-out to certain groups. I don't mind paying taxes, but when you see the elderly getting their no help during cold winter months, actual disable getting their benefits taking away, because some illnesses are more real than others, more and more people who struggle to afford the cheapest food, not to mention the blatant two tier policing while the government's is giving the tax money left and right elsewhere...yeah I don't blame people for being pissed off

I went through a period of homelessness, 4 years to be exact.
I was made homeless through no fault of my own and the first 6 months or so was hell.
Despair turned into a new sense of freedom of which I’d never felt before. I was offered lots of help but I turned it all down and requested to be left alone by all agencies.
I always hear people claiming that you are unable to claim benefits if you’re homeless. This is not true, you absolutely can claim universal credit or job seekers allowance along with sickness benefits even when you have no fixed abode. And you can use the job centre as a mailing address.
There’s help out there if you seek it. Granted the housing department of the council is a mine field but do some research on housing laws prior to asking for help, this will put you in a better position.

Greate interview with the man that actually lives there, he knows how to keep people engaged
Probably because of his work history but the channels interviewer was a bit melodramatic and extreamly amateur and would not hold anyones intrest if he was to run the show, so to speak.
He was extreamy lucky that the person that the segment was about hald his own and the hosts too or this would have fell flat on his face.
Could you imagine if he encountered someone strggling with D&A issues or a form of schizophrenia.
I bet he would have not been able to give them the empathy as he had given this guy.
It would have been him running trow the woods , blair witch style telling his camar that he is scared for 20 mins.

Hasn't got a drug or drink problem. Does he just need a break, somewhere to live? Winter is coming and its going to get cold. I wasn't sure if he worked or was being overlooked due to being homeless? Would it be possible to know what he wants to achieve? He came across as relatively resigned to this lifestyle which is basically his choice to make. But if he genuinely needs a foot in the door (so to speak) could you give us any more information on his predicament.

I'd sell my house and move in there tomorrow if there was no chance of being moved on by the council. The truth is while renewables are useful for a personal off-grid setup, they'll never replace fossil fuels, not enough to power the entire developed world with the energy it uses today. The only way to avert disaster is for us _all_ to live more like this. Or by homesteading. But we're not allowed to so it's curtains. Probably collapsing by about 2040 and all dead by 2060.

Something feels off about him. He seems way too well spoken to be what he says. That's just me though, I question everything and I hate that about myself. Is he like an undercover fed wondering what you're doing and he's waffling (know about the people that live there) and so on.
