Is Final Fantasy 10 Worth Playing In 2023?
Originally released in 2001 Final Fantasy 10 is what many and I mean MANY fans of the series call the last real Final Fantasy experience,
Do I agree with that? Absolutely not, I think it’s a dumb arguement overall but that’s not what this video is about
In the 21 years since its original release it has held up extremely well as far as its reputation goes, it’s arguably what many fans of the series suggest as a good entry point into Final Fantasy as a whole, and honestly I have to agree.
10 is that balance of having what made the original 9 games so special to many fans whilst being able to blend and mix in more modern design choices through both the gameplay and story telling side of things.
I love Final Fantasy X, in fact it’s my favourite entry in the series. It means so much to me on a personal level that I can’t even put it into words but if this makes my feelings any clearer this game made me feel emotions nothing else had ever managed to before, it is a game that stayed in my heart ever since I played it for the first time.
So with all that said let’s take a look at Final Fantasy 10 from a 2022 perspective, 21 years after it’s release, and see if it’s still worth dedicating time and playing for you or anyone else who may be interested.

Thank for watching everyone, this was a big one I've wanted to make for a long time now and definitely felt the pressure to make this a good quality video so if you did enjoy it a Like or Comment would mean a lot, hoping to have this reach as many people as possible so your interaction really helps with achieving that goal
Tldr,yes it is
The answer to your video is yes in 2023 and for every year beyond that ❤
Played and 100% this game multiple times and still you make me want to pick it up again thank you
FFX is the game that helped me break out of my shell and begin to explore the things i personally love. I grew up in a hood around tons of gangs both in and out of family. Liking these kinds of games were almost taboo because of how much flak and stuff you'll get from friends and family. I just was sick of always being around fights, drama, and sleepless nights i started playing games like GTA, Fighting games. Only "hood" games. But once i exhausted those I was given FFX from a school friend because he said it sucked. I was always home alone so once i popped this game in, instantly i was hooked after the first time in Zanarkand. That friday when i went back home to be alone for more or less through the whole weekend when family left on a trip i spent the entire time heating up ramen and playing FFX late into the night, through the whole weekend. I'll never forget FFX that was one of the first games where i truly immersed myself in a fantasy, and when i learned i was into goth chicks, ty lulu. This game will always have a special place in my soul.
Yeah man growing up in the hood i hated how they called people like us lame for liking stuff like this
Don't worry guys, similiar history here, most of those people who used to bash on me for playing these games, are now in prison, dead or major drug addicts. So who's the lame people now? One Love.
This is very relatable 💯
Dude ramen and final fantasy X totally explains my summer of 2003 when I found this game. Literally the only RPG I've ever played and loved cuz like you games was never an ok thing how I grew up unless it was madden or need for speed. Haven't had a console for 6 years and just bought my son a PS5 and what's the first game I buy? FFX remaster for ps4 haha
great comment dude got some feels lmao glad FFX hit so many people.
When this game came out I was Rikku's age (14), I just played it again recently now that I am Auron's age (35). This game has aged far better than I have, still has my favorite turn based fighting mechanics and still the most fun leveling system of any game I've played.
Ditto this. Im 39 this year. FFX was my first Final Fantasy and is still my favorite. I played 7 and 8 and tried to play 9 afterward. Great games, but Squall and Cloud were the same brooding character, a common trope (Auron is similar). I liked that Tidus wasn't perfect or that annoying "walking into the wind" character. His goofy ass grows and he shows flaws (he cried more than once). The only character I didn't enjoy was the Ronso. Also, I dodged 200 lightning bolts...
Auron is 35?? Always thought of him as like 50
Wow. Didn’t think about it like that. I played the game when I was 13. Haven’t played it since I was 19. And thinking about jumping back in at 33.
I thought rikku was 15?
@@noirvenacava834 Yeah you're right, typed that wrong, sorry 'bout that
Easily my favourite Final Fantasy game, I could listen to people talk about it all day! Nice review
Appreciate it!
Its not my favorite, but its up there as a close top 3, no doubt. top 4 if you consider vagrant story a final fantasy game.
It’s probably more people’s favourite than any other.. It’s hands down the best FF game ever made if you look at them just as games in terms of how good a game they are, gameplay, story, soundtrack, world building etc.. No other FF comes close.. But people have their favourites of course and will feel certain ways about each one.. Still, hands down the best, almost perfect
💯
same, i have watched so many ff game reviews leading up to the release of ffxvi, haha. ffx is my personal favorite, as well, and most people i've seen rank it in their top 3 or 4 along with ffvi, ffvii, and ffix
I replay this game about 5 times a year. It’s such a great game and it never gets boring for me. I love that it’s a big game with an even bigger story. I will forever love FFX. It’s my all time favorite game.
That’s alot
5 times a year?!?!
Yes i replayed this many times also together with legend of legaia
The fact it has a game with in a game. If they came out with a ff blitzball game it would be a stand alone game. That's how good blitzball it itself.
5 times a year is too much homie, once every couple years will do the trick.
Final Fantasy of all time. Played this game for the first time at the beginning of this year and I already feel like I want to replay it.. Tidus and Yuna just can't escape my mind. Great video btw!
Tidus and Yuna are just THAT well written
This was the first Final Fantasy game I remember playing on my Silver PS2 Slim as a kid during the mid 2000s. Luckily, I still have that game in my PS2 collection. Those were the best times.
Being born in 93 this game popped up at such a pivotal time for me. I dont think i ever made it to zanarkand back then, getting stuck at the second Seymour transformation, but I'd argue it had a similar effect on me as you described
92 here and feel exactly the same hell I even got stuck on Seymour's second transformation as well 😂 I owe a lot to final fantasy x as it was the game that made me fall in love with Jrpgs after I completed this game I couldn't get enough of the genre and lucky for me The PS2 was a monster for them
I think we all got stuck at Seymour Flux lol. My buddy said the same thing as well. We need to go back and beat it now.
just want to give everyone an update, I went back and replayed 10 and after 40+ hours beat the game lol
Ya Seymour Flux and Yunalesca are pretty big tests your first play through. Legendary bosses.
Only game that I ever cried at. Every detail about this game is transporting, and if you play it during a pivotal point in your own development you will may get dangerously close to ending it all out of the despair you feel for the fact that you have to leave this world and come back to reality. The game is pure power, poetry, passion. A true masterpiece from a long lost era in game development. Be ready to play one of, if not the best, game ever created. And I don’t stake that claim lightly. Praise be to Yevon.
Not to be disrespectful, but if this was the only game you cried at, you have not played many games. Don't get me wrong, this game will *absolutely* do that, but expanding your game catalog will show you there are quite a few others as well.
@@jacksquatt6082 its also the only game I have cried at, and I have played alot of games. Some people don't cry as easily as you, so don't make assumptions like that.
@@moonflow5133 I'm just saying there are some really emotionally impactful games out there. The Last of Us and Disco Elysium are two that immediately jump to mind.
This review is incredible.
FFX is my favourite as well, and probably my favourite game ever.
I resonatedwith what you said about To Zanarkand. It is one of the best pieces of music in all of gaming. So much so that I've put it in my dying wishes to be played at my funeral
Appreciate the support🙏🏼
FFX is very special to me and you did a fantastic job covering it and also definitely keep up the spoiler section in future videos as its good to hear your thoughts on how stories affect you personally and if you did NieR Automata which I recommend as priority then half the video might be spoiler filled ☺️
Appreciate the feedback! I definitely think it's something I'll keep moving forward especially for the bigger videos (Nier Automata is an example of one for sure)
I recommended my best friend play this a few months ago. They fell in love with the game. I was almost jealous (VERY jealous actually) that they got to experience this story for the first time. It’s beautiful.
My favorite jRPG, played it 20 years ago in a difficult moment in my life. I really have fond memories of it, love its characters and world, they are well designed and engaging. i remember as a kid that i had a crush on Yuna.
The cutscenes in this are amazing for it's time. When Yuna does the first sending after the island village is decimated it was extremely emotional. The story was amazing and I really appreciate your take on this. Thank you for this review!
The cutscenes are still amazing even by modern standards. Full mo-cap with genuinely good acting and voice acting is something that's still surprisingly rare.
And yes, we do know that it's full mo-cap, because of boundary break discovering that many in-engine cutscenes actually extend beyond the camera's perspective, which pretty much straight up would never happen with non mocap.
agree totally with what you said at 19:20 about this being the entry where you use the most stat buffs and i had never even thought of that before! but youre totally right, this game plays out very mathematically so its easy to see how effective protect or haste would be in a certain situation.
21 years..? 21 years... It's kinda emotional thinking that all of us who played the game on release, we've all grown up and living our own lives and stories. But equally not all of us made it, a best mate of mine adored this game, like it was his thing. He ended up losing his battle to depression. Time stopped for him, but for the rest of us, we've all had to grow up. 21 fkn years...
I got it for Christmas after it came out. I remember not having a memory card at the time, but I wanted to play so bad I just left on my ps2 and eventually got a memory card.
Thanks man, you've said everything, why we love it, its strength, its weaknesses, what it feels like, and all this without any spoilers. I can't express enough how amazed I am by the work you put into this video. You've made my day 😊
Really appreciate that! Glad the video hit the spot for you
what weaknesses?
I'm in the mid of the game close to the end and I'm so glad you decided to choose this one to end the year off
Just keep away from the spoiler section of the video lol
I have played this game multiple times but I still watched this whole video because of how in depth the explanation is. Keep up the good work!
Love the way you wrote this! Made me want to go back n replay it.
Glad to hear it!
I played this game for the first time last year, it was my first Final Fantasy game and it absolutely blew me away. I think I ended up putting more than 200 hours into it in the end. I absolutely adore the soundtrack so much that I ended up travelling to another country to go see the Distant Worlds concert just weeks after my first ever FF game, and was absolutely blessed to witness Rikki in the flesh singing Suteki Da Ne. I honestly teared up a little at both that and To Zanarkand.
oh i agree, i loooove the soundtrack. i don't love every single region theme but i love to zanarkand, suteki da ne, and the hymn of the faythe (and how there are so many different renditions of it depending which temple you're at!), and how the themes of those three songs in particular are repeated as motifs in many different tracks. via purifico is another beautiful one, and i know the battle theme gets really annoying after a while but as an individual composition it's very cool. and then of course there's that rock song that plays in the opening cutscene and one of the last ones that is so hype. and i think ffx as well does a very good job of capturing the mood of the location/cutscene/boss fight through music which surprisingly i can't say about all games. the music really enhances the game.
It was wonderful hearing you do a retrospective on my favourite FF game. The characters, story and message in this game meant so much to me growing up in a difficult time in my life. And it was a pleasure to hear your thoughts on it.
Hello phantom strider hope you see this !! I played 15 hours of this (got to rikku) then quit!! Should I play it again , thinking of doing after beating persona 4
@@CASH_HARVY Personally I've replayed and finished the game 5 times over the last 19 years, so personally yeah I recommend playing it 😄 But if you quit, then maybe it's not for you, which is fine :)
@@phantomstrider aaah cool! Ive decided to play it over again with a new look!! Been watching you for a long time love your positivity and all respect ✌️✌️✌️
Great content. Came to watch one video but ended up watching several. I'm really looking forward to more.
Next video in Feb👌
This must’ve been SO much work! This was so well put together! Thank you for making this and talking about my favorite game of all time! Subscribed!
This is my actual favorite game of all time. I’m not sure if I played for the first time today if I could enjoy the story on the same level. But this story is firmly fixed to my formative years in a way that will make me love these characters and this story forever.
From the title:
THIS AINT A QUESTION! its always worth it. Played possibly ten times through eversince its release, last time this year....ohmy, what banger of a game. Thank you for the video🙌
FFX was my first Final Fantasy and also the 3rd ever video game I EVER played. I still remember To Zanarkand playing, and then the shot of the ruins and then Tidus going "Listen to my story..." In that moment, I knew, I KNEW I would fall in loe with this world. It continues to be my top video game ever played and inspires and influences my writings as well. I always aim to paint a visual in the reader's head that is as awe inspiring as that opening (or Yuna's Kilika Sending).
Im always enjoying to listen to your FF videos, because it is always exciting to watch them. Im very glad that you are making these kinds of videos. Im really enjoying them. Im waiting for the next parts of the FF games. Thank u for u time and videos
Thank you for the comment and support, it means a lot
FFX will always be my favorite in the franchise. You definitely did this video justice in the way you presented it. Please keep up the good work. Can you do KH 1&2?
There is a KH1 & Chain of Memories critique on the channel if you’re interested
In 2022? Yes. In another twenty years? Yes. Answer will always be yes. Has a timeless understanding of letting go and acceptance.
“Wakka, a cheerful airhead.” Lol died!!!!! Ffx is my all time favorite ff game and nothing has ever even come close to it since. Well except for ffx-2 which was fun and really driven by searching for Titus. I’m currently playing the Remaster on my 4k and it’s like seeing it for the first time again but better (obvi) lol
Great video! I just subscribed!
bought one weeks ago, already 70 hours i fucking lvoe this game, THAT scene in the lake...
My favorite game of all time... I still play it often. For those familiar with the story, the Speedrun community created a cutscene remover for the PC Steam version. Makes repeat playthroughs much more fun. Thanks for the video.
I literally grew up playing FFX. It has been my absolute favorite game ever. I have played and beaten it countless times and it still holds up as my all time favorite. I adore the other ff entries minus 8, couldn't get hooked and never played 11. The other are all A+. But I don't know what it is with FFX, but it has had me completely addicted to every aspect of it.
Might be time to pick it up again! I've only also played it once so the idea of returning is a little worrisome but with the holidays around corner I just might. Thank you!
Finding the great Blitz players makes it awesome and my fav. minigame
FFX what a true masterpiece of a Game. no other game has ever been able to fully immerse me so whole heartedly as much as FFX did, you become apart of the world and emotionally invested in it. Thankyou for making this video it let me revisit this wonderful Game again
There are two things i like to bring up about the hallway concept here. Number 1, treasures aren't shown on ff10 map, so when you're exploring any slightly small path, the reward is a surprise, where in ff13 you can quickly learn to avoid branching paths if you know there is nothings.
Second in ff10 the hallway design is filled with things to interact with. as you progress, there are less and less people, and things that are interesting which reflects the progression of the story. in ff13, the hallways really are hallways, there is almost never anyone to talk to, never a point of interest, just background. (very pretty background in ff13)
Great video, Prez! I agree with most of your points. However, here are a few dissensions:
1) I actually like most of the trials. The first 2-3 are honestly quite easy, with the only mistakes you can make are missing the destruction spheres and the accompanying item. I would say that Macalania one is definitely tedious, but just escaping is not too bad. It definitely becomes worse trying to get and use the destruction sphere. Bevelle is the only one that I genuinely hate replaying through. I hate having to time the platforms, especially when they have pretty small windows. This one can get bent. The Zanarkand one I like as well, even though it does go on for a little too long. Pretty good overall, especially since there’s not any truly annoying elements. Overall, the trials to me are fun and a good change of pace, and I don’t think they overstay their welcome. Might be because I absolutely love puzzles in games… part of the reason why I love the Legend of Zelda series so much.
2) The voice acting is acceptable. The only parts I remember being genuinely bad are a few parts where the lines feel artificially sped up for some reason. I can’t remember specific examples, but they felt like they’re being said in double time or something lol. It’s super weird and doesn’t seem natural at all.
3) Blitzball! One of the best mini(?) games of all time! Can easily play several games a play-through just for fun. I think the problem is where you’re having to play potentially hundreds of games in order to get Wakka’s Attack Reels and the celestial item (can’t remember which). If you know how to game the system, you can do this in much less time, but 14 year old me playing this when it first came out with no access to internet had no idea and just kept pushing though and pushing through and pushing through, hoping I would get the items I needed as prizes… talk about miserable.
Still, really solid review. This game is easily my second favorite game of all time behind Majora’s Mask (can you tell I love games with phenomenal world building?). I can tell it’s somewhere up on the list for you as well. Glad I got to watch your video and hope that you get more subs based on the quality of your work and the amount of effort you put in!
Agree that to zanarkand is one of the best songs ever! Nice video
FFX has a special place in my heart. Doomed love stories just get me every time and it's a perfect one. The sound track is a 10/10 I regularly just listen to the whole thing top to bottom no bad songs. It's got its quirks and imperfections but what game doesn't? I don't know if I'll ever have a game effect me emotionally like the end of FFX did. Even though I wanted Tidus to end up with Rikku and Lulu made young teenage me feel odd things the story was so good it made me care about Yuna even though she was my 3rd favorite lol.
FFX was my very first experience in the series, so that makes is special for me. Also was the very first time that I feel like these real emotions for a videogame, I shed tears by the end. So I can relate to some things you say about this game. It is also special to me.
I marathoned all your final fantasy videos, your videos are really cool!
Appreciate that!
I am 100% one of those “ yes, yea it is. Go play”. Played the original game back the day it released in the UK. It kinda changed my life…! I’ll never forget it. So much feeling ! Balled my eyes when the ending was playing out. Couldn’t believe it was all over. Until I play it 100 times over 😂
My favorite game of all time! Yes, it is amazing and yes you should play it❤️
Strange timing to see this video I just started playing it for the first time since release! I was worried it wouldn't hold up but still love it. I can't believe I forgot about Lulu!
Algorithm is a scary thing sometimes lol
I actually like how challenging the temple puzzles are. I love this game. This game 6,7,9 and 12 are my favorites. 12 for the world not really the story.
FFX is one of my favorite games and really deserves a Remake. Hopefully I live to see that happen!
One day for sure it’ll happen, give it 10 years I recon😅
I love Final Fantasy X. I hope you consider covering Final Fantasy X-2 as well! I love that game too, but I think it has a mixed reception. Great video!
Played this back in the day on the PS2, loved it then. Finally got round to replaying it for about the 10th time at the start of the year, got the platinum, still love it as much as I did when I was a kid! Yes it’s absolutely worth playing!
One of the best jrpg's of all time 😭❤
The one thing that made me really love FFX is that it focuses on a theme that’s kind of niche in video games; religion. Its not just present through visuals but it’s heavily involved in the game. The criticisms of it and how the world depends on it. Its really interesting and I don’t think I’ve seen many games that has this much religious themes in it.
They played it safe (In a good way), didn't make it the selling point of the story but if you dig deep you realise just how crucial it is
And how you basicly turn on the religion to save the world 😂
Had this on pre-order with my brand new PS2... and I was lucky enough to get chickenpox THE DAY BEFORE 😂😂. So I had 10 days off school to binge play this game. I love it. Always a toss up between this and 7 for me. I ayed this when I was 14 though, so the story hit differently for me. And yes, the intro Blitzball scene is the best gaming intro EVER. 👌
Lately, I’ve been finding myself looking for a game to really slip into again. I’ve finished any recent release that grabbed my attention and didn’t really know where to go next. I don’t really have a deep-seated emotional connection to FFX like I do with 7, so I was on the fence regarding whether or not I should try this entry.
Anyways, thank you for tipping the scales for me, just got Ifrit👍
I played this almost 2 years ago I was exactly tidus’s age (17) I had recently moved from a house I had lived in since I was 8 so I was home sick like tidus was at the beginning of the game then as tidus learned to accept and embrace his new surroundings I started to embrace my surroundings in my own life, and that’s only one of a million things I learned from this game.
Like how life was different before covid?
FFX is one of my favorite games of all time. I've played if off and on again since I first played it on the PS2 and was only able to 100% complete it for the first time earlier this year.
Mad commitment for the 100%
@@reliableprez the grind to max out the sphere grid has always been my struggle and always where I fell off the game. Finally completing it was a big rush.
I did it on my 2nd play through years ago. Just beat it again, but once tidues started hitting 50k I just stooped grinding. Spent 50 hours. Could of easily doubled it if I wanted to do everything.
Thank you for making such a beautiful video on Final Fantasy X
This is my favorite in the series as well. Favorite cast of characters, favorite mini-game (love Blitzball!), and favorite story. Did hate some of the mechanics, though (dodging lightning, butterfly chase, and chocobo race).
FFX is definitely worth playing in 2022! Not just for what it is, but for what it accomplishes: an extremely well-made game with amazing gameplay, story, characters, and world complete with good voice acting & gorgeous 3D environments. Also, Tidus & Yuna's relationship is a bit similar to Alphen & Shionne's.
Damn even more excited to play Tales of Arise now
Good voice acting ? Are you high ?
@@silveracid1344 😭
@@reliableprez Sorry just really hate this game and I know it's petty but it winds me right up that so many people seem to think it's the best in the series or even a good game in general. It's a corridor. Filled with either obnoxious or boring characters. After the heights of 6, 7, 8 & 9 this game was soul crushing to me and I will burn with hatred for it until the day I die. Nothing personal ^.^;
@@silveracid1344I still like 10 but I can see your criticism and dislike as valid not just as an opinion. Was there anything you found decent about 10? Or completely hated it?
I played it 20+ years ago and loved it! Fell out of love with it over the years and completely turned my back on it! Talked major shit on Tidus in that time! Played it here in 2022..... Masterpiece!
Nice video. I tried playing this for the first time a few years ago and there was a lot to like but I really did not enjoy the sphere grid. That and the combat feeling tedious with how much you had to switch out characters depending on enemy type caused me to bounce off, but I've been wanting to give it another chance.
I’m doing it right now. Still great. Almost feels like the first time. It has been years
Timeless masterpiece ❤❤❤❤✨
Yes, it absolutely is #facts
Thanks for making this video. I love this game so much. Crying watching this. This game makes me so emotional
Glad you enjoyed...with tears lol
Loved your take on what was my first real Final Fantasy game back on the PS2... I also loved hearing you mention doing a video on what I consider to be hands down the best game made for the PSP, Crisis Core (I actually paused my playthrough of Crisis Core Reunion so I could leave this comment) I am subscribing just because I want to see your take on it!
Crisis Core video out in January if all goes well👌🏼
As someone who played FFX when it came out originally... that feeling you described never goes away 😅
I played this game as a kid on the PS2 but never finished it. When I picked up the remaster on PC I immediately fell in love with it again, the music, the setting ,and the story were all amazing. That intro To Zanarkand was one of the most amazing tracks I've heard from any game. If you're on the edge of buying and playing FFX do it it's well worth the money.
The destiny island joke did make me chuckle 😂 great video
Just finished a playthrough last week!! About to jump in to x2
I only just started the video and will also comment - yes it is. This game is amazing. I played through it again about 6 months ago, loved the crap out of it, as I do each time I play it, which is about once every few years.
I agree that it would be great if you could skip cut scenes. Especially in replays, I often just want to play the game and not bother with a cut scene anymore.
FFX was the reason i nagged my parents for months to buy me a ps2.. I still remember the day it was released in Italy, me going to toys store and the excitement. It was may and i soent the following summer playing it no stop... The ending still makes me cry now thst im a 35 years old man
I play it literally to this very day. I've played COUNTLESS hours on my PS2, PS3, and PS$4. There is so much late game content to keep you busy and leveling up, the character development is enriching, story has twists and turns and making you feel such anger and sadness at times. I love this game, my favorite FF and my favorite game period.
Honestly, as someone who cared deeply about this game (it's my favorite piece of art in general, not to mention favorite video game) I'm so happy to see more people recognize it for the brilliant piece of art that it is.
Really enjoyed this video :)
I played elden ring, skyrim, battle royales, uncharted, far cry, metal gear, and nany other of the big boys in gaming, but the hard truth is that FF10 is one of my favorite games in history. It is actually one of the beat games created and this was back just when the PS2 came out. The leveling up system with the aphere grid is one of the most genious ways to skill up in gaming, and nothing has beat it since. If you havent try it, just way for that opening scene to hit you in the face.
Spent majority of my young teens on this specific game. Had one abisube teacher that had a serious personality disorder, and got me through junior highschool. I replayed it in my 30s on ps4, and getting all the trophies was so satisfying.
Funny thing i just started playing this again cause i had the nostalgia for it. I think this is the best final fantasy game. Storyline is still awesome, even the cutscenes hold up. I love aeons and equipment customizations, the sphere grid and I may be one of the few that enjoys blitzball lol. One thing going back to is how much I hate the random encounters. All things consider is one of the best games.
...I loved those cloister puzzles
Super awesome video bro! Liked, Subscribed and Shared the video 💪🏾
this game is always worth playing, i just got wakka overdrives for the first time in blitzball! very cool
This will always have a special place in my heart. Had play it wen i i was around 10 or 11.
Great video. Though I find blitzball and the Cloister of Trials actually pretty fun! To each their own 😊
You nailed it my fav ff game, I just want to ask would it be possible for you to make a more in depth video about this game? I could listen for hours when it comes to ffx
honestly
The only game(even till now) that made me tear up at the ending. The first game OST I actually spend money to buy. I don’t dare to replay it now because I wanted it to be a beautiful memory forever.
This game might be a little outdated, but it’s really fun and 100% worth playing for the story.
One of the best stories in the series for sure
0:02 I just began the video. Before even watching it, I can answer this question for everyone; HELL YES Final Fantasy X is worth playing!!!!
Now, I’ll watch you prove my point in your sure to be awesome video.
I really play it the first time right now😂 i'm on in since 3 weeks hahaha this video fits perfect in this time😄
25:28 thank goodness you brought this up! cloister of trials
yes i was left scarred as you said! ... and yes i now need therepy as a result!
it was so bad, i used 3 seperate guides that couldnt even help me.
Beat me to it this time. Lol. This game was WILD. I was a young babby of 13-14? And I already had gone through 9.and this came out with a hot new console. Which I was poor so I couldn't afford a memory card so it was play as far as I can lol. Great video bud keep it up 👍
Daaaamn those long sessions must’ve been some good memories
Final Fantasy X holds a special place in my heart. For one thing, it was the first Final Fantasy game that I completed. I remember rage quitting IX when I got stuck on the final dungeon. So you can imagine how satisfying it was to finally defeat the last boss after hours of grinding.
I played the HD remaster a few years ago, and I still think it still holds up. I loved the rearranged soundtrack, and think it's a great improvement over the original score.
well done ! my favorite entry truly done justice :)
Got the Jecht symbol tattoed on my arm almost as soon as I turned 18. I remember going to Blockbuster with my stepdad the day of release, we had just finished FFIX and fell in love with FF, so he brought us a PS2 and the game and we stayed up really late playing it until I eventually fell asleep. Aside from how amazing the game is, the amount of times I've done a 100% run, done goofy self imposed challenge runs, that memory will always stick with me. What a game.
That intro made me lol pretty hard, considering i go through that cycle at least once a year since 10 was released.
Just ran across this. After so many years, I got the HD Remaster for Christmas. I'm enjoying it as much now as I did playing it on the PS2 console.
well here I am 42 and thinking about playing final fantasy x again for the 2nd time since its release. I grew up playing final fantasy games as they were released since ff1. FF X 2 was the last FF game I played all the way through. After that I just couldn't connect to the characters or stories. Maybe FF XVI will bring me back, but FFX will always hold a special place in my heart. Great video and good luck with the channel.
My favorite game of all time. Gone back to it many times over the years. I think the first time I played it. I went to a friends house when I was around 18 in 2009 and he was playing it and asked if I wanted to. I ended up liking it a little bit so I purchased it and never looked back.
This is my favorite game ever. It is my first game ever. I’ve beaten it well over 20 times literally, and I still have the itch to go back to it.
This year, I finally beat Penance after finding out of his existance 20 years ago. I had the longest lasting blood feud with the idea of fighting it, and after two days of straight calculated grinding, I made my way up to it and beat him fair and square (aka no Yojimbo). That 2 hour fight with the feeling of completion left me sleeping like a baby.
oof "22 year old game" got me. This game was so iconic when it came out and is arguably one of the best looking games on the ps2. The remaster really makes it hold up still till this day. Its a game i often have to fight replaying, because there's so many games I still haven't played yet 😅I grew up watching my sister playing VII and when I was old enough to get into hardcore rpgs, X was my first and it hooked me instantly. I'll be 80 playing this game.
Just bought the remaster on Nintendo Switch, haven't played it in years and am looking forward to reliving the nostalgia!
