@SagaTheGemini-tg6fz People who hate on her are bullies and/or child predators themselves and it triggers them that Alexa is calling them out and putting them in their place.
I totally see them bullying her, I believe Alexa was an innocent 12 year old who acted her age. Jamielyn was definitely trying to act older and acting older. That’s why she was pregnant at 16. Nothing was wrong with Alexa she was bullied because she got to grow up with grace.
This is honestly such a good take and needs to be talked about more. Alexa was a bright starry eyes 12 year old who was probably a bubbly excited 12 YEAR OLD. Whereas Jamie Lynn was acting 21 at 12. Alexa did not deserve that environment. I never thought of it like this .
I think Jamie had a relationship with somebody on the show that she was impregnated by during that time. I'm not sure who it was but people say it was Dan. I think she was jealous of Alexa getting His attention, etc.
I think also bc she was happy and had a good support system that looked out for her and showed her love and we all know jamie lynn spears parents are..... well quite the opposite.

Alexas's story about her ex-husband is heartbreaking. And the fact that a lawyer drafted and allowed her to sign that document without a lawyer is beyond me. especially with that language in the documents. For that alone, the lawyer should be disbarred.
@@sierragibson3131I believe they put in the stipulation that she cannot sue him for any assault she suffered from him throughout the duration of their relationship
@@sierragibson3131 Yes! The document is a divorce; so it includes all money, possessions, etc. that each spouse is entitled to after divorce. The ex-husband's attorney used a lot of legal jargon, so not plain language for Alexa to understand. Because Alexa was not represented by an attorney, I believe the husband's attorney weaponized that and used a lot of language that was confusing to the average person. However, in that document, the attorney snuck in a section that basically stated that Alexa is giving away her right to sue her ex-husband for the sexual abuse (also potentially any claims of pedophilia because they met online and started dating before 18). This section was probably not clear and the average person probably didn't understand that they were giving that right away. So, years later, a California statute got passed that temporarily allowed sexual abuse victims to sue their abusers civilly regardless of when that incident took place because the statute of limitations was temporarily lifted. Alexa decided to sue her ex-husband for the sexual abuse. She did not have $$ for a lawyer, so she used a pro-bono lawyer (lawyer for free). The lawyers read the document and realized that she gave her right away without knowing she did. That made the case more complicated and because the lawyers were pro-bono, they needed more resources & money, so they couldn't continue representing her. I hope that makes sense now!
Britney sort of explained it as by that point her dad was deep into his alcoholism and her mom would just give in to Jamie to shut her up because she was an annoying brat
i’m an infrequent watcher so i’ve never seen trisha cover a more serious topic like this, and just wow… she is a truly great interviewer. she asks thoughtful and appropriate questions, she relates her own experience without making it about herself, just so much empathy and understanding i’ve always enjoyed trish as a performer and the entertainment value she brings to her content, but this interview really made me see her in an all new light with a newfound respect brava, trish
Reminder: just last week Trish tried to make a podcast about redeeming David dobrik who created a very unsafe work environment in multiple ways. His pal Dom harassed women had some intense allegations against him and David tried to cover for it.
Alexa’s bullying experience especially with the “why are you smiling all the time” “are you an alien” got to me. I remember kids saying the same thing to me. You know what it’s because she was vibrant and pretty and it intimidated them and made them feel as if she was more likeable so they tried dragging her down. ❤
I also got asked that question all the time at 14, and ‘are you on drugs’ and I’d be mocked because of being bubbly and excitable. I actively try not to smile too much to this day since people take advantage of that personality type.
@@shania9528 it’s a shame isn’t it, it’s like your not allowed to be happy because people think your life must be better. If they see you smile they want to knock you down a peg.
Funny how Alexa was probably one of the youngest workers on set (at 12) but one of the most MATURE. Because the “adults” on set definitely were NOT acting like adults. And the kids who bullied her acted like immature 2-year-olds with no home training.
@@amylee8969agreed, and she’s grown to be a truly wonderful and strong woman with a huge purpose with this movement. i’m truly glad that they were not able to break her spirit and instead made her stronger. she’s a great role model. ❤

@brittc18 True, Jamie Lynn was glorified b/c she and her parents chose to kiss Dan’s a$$ and take the inappropriate treatment and exposure. If Jamie/Britney had responsible parents, that show would’ve been canceled after 1 season.
That's a nice idea but I honestly doubt Jennette would want to, she's had to repeat herself so many times and she's probably tired at this point, I know I would be. I think people should purchase her book.
They were jealous of Alexa's light! You should never have to apologize for or explain why you're a bubbly, positive person. That's a gift to be able to find things to smile about in this world.
I mean if the rumors are true then Jamie was getting graped by Dan schnieder, and probably her friend too by someone. Alexa wasn't directly involved in that. Sometimes the worst girl bullies are getting bullied by grown ass men, at least it was true for my friends in elementary school. Sad as hell.
@marissar.359 She played one of the most popular characters that everyone liked. I think deep down Jamie KNEW that Zoey was a dull character and that her acting skills were on the weak side (I wasn’t a fan of the show, I just saw a few clips here and there.). I think she felt threatened that Alexa could steal her cloud.
Right?? And seeing the scene of her hitting Alexa in the head (absolutely disgusting Nick kept that in the edit) I remember seeing that as a kid too!! It was so weird at the time I remember being like - what?? - but then no one acknowledged it 😞 ugh those girls suck. I truly hope they changed…
Nicole was literally my favorite character on zoey 101. After nicole left i subconsciously didn’t like zoey 101 anymore. Now i realize that that was the reason, she was the best character on the show
I had no idea Jaime was Britney’s sister at the time but I always felt like they just casted her as the lead because she was pretty, blond and blue eyed. I guess I was right in a way.
@ville__ it must suck to have such a boring life that you have the time to keep commenting this nonsense on literally every single comment thread.. hope you find some hobbies love! Get out more 😘
Having a 9 months preggo BRITNEY SPEARS yelling at me on set as a teen would have me throwing up too. And I'm a 30 year old woman. Sending all the love to you Alexa.
I hope Alexa is able to properly sue her assaulter one day. The legal system is so unfair and impossible to navigate without money. I understand the helpless feeling all too well.
THIS. I am subscribed to her channel but sometimes her videos feel quite intense and I know they’re so much emotional labour for her to host (but of course she loves it and is doing it for the cause). This felt really healing for her and was nice to see her be able to confide in someone like a friend, even if they did just meet. It’s likely that my preferred style of content leans more towards two friends having a chat vs talking head reporting/commentary, but the girls really made an amazing episode here!
I can’t believe this podcast actually happened!! Thank you for letting Alexa tell her story. I never thought as an avid Zoey 101 watcher and HUGE fan of the show that I’d be watching this years later and learning about what actually happened behind the scenes. It breaks my heart because I related so much to Nicole on the show as a preteen as well and when Alexa left I was devastated. I really hope justice is served properly to all the sick, evil individuals who put these kids through all this trauma.

I never watched the show but I saw clips of Nicole right after I heard her story. She seems like the bubbly likable character that’s capable of stealing Jamie Lynn’s cloud.
I feel like autistic girls really understand Alexa’s pain with Jamie and the others because I also had “friends” in high school who would do the same thing. I had “friends” who would throw parties, purposely not invite me, and then call me from the party to let me know they were having fun. Looking back on it now, it was so obvious that they hated me but as a child who just wants friends I simply wanted to be involved. I hope they live the lives they deserve (and so far they are hehe).
THIS. I remember this feeling too. I remember one of my best friends in middle school had a birthday party, told me all the people she was inviting (didn’t include me) and said “if I could invite one more person, it would be you”. And then told me aaalllll about the party on Monday. 😭

@kyliehughes6700 Sounds like jealousy to me. That bubbly personally makes people more likable and approachable. Any girl in real life would’ve loved to be Alexa’s friend. I think the others were threatened that she had the potential of stealing their cloud.
It's how Jamie Lynn Spears has nothing to say but everything to hide seemingly and that rubs me the wrong way. Sounds like Alexa didn't even get a chance to be friends with her despite just doing her job.

I never knew you could add “dismiss S.A.” On divorce papers. Like what the actual f***!?!? That’s insane to me. Alexa Nikolas thank you for what you do and to Trisha for having her on to tell her story.
It wasn’t in those words. It basically only said she couldn’t sue him. For anything during the time of their marriage, there was no specific crime listed or he would’ve been admitting guilt & really dumb. There’s articles on it.

I will never forget being bullied in elementary school and really feel for Alexa. My bully tried to convince everyone not to be my friend and when I asked her why, she said “you’re fat, ugly, and bite your nails”. It sticks with you forever.
Sorry that happened. I know you’re likely a better, kinder more well rounded person because of it though. I know I am- but I randomly cringe when memories of being talked about in that way by bullies/ “friends” The best payback I got was losing 100+ pounds- coming back for junior year, and many years beyond getting hit on/ DM’d by these men- and politely reminding them that they’re garbage- and it’s never gonna f**king happen! I hope you are well- you’re worth it!!
as the literal demographic-I actively watched this show and now i’m a grown adult. I was so confused as to why Nicole was “written off”. Alexa was such a great actress and so bubbly despite the mental torment she endured. Makes me feel better about quitting my toxic job. She stood up for herself at a young age.
Jamie got Karma. No one likes her anymore and she’s being called out for taking advantage of her sister. Jamie hasn’t even had a real job since Zoey 101 ended, she’s been living off Britney’s Money and using that to support her kids.
I know I've said this in a ton of episodes, but I can't say enough that this was definitely Trish's calling. She does SUCH an amazing job interviewing her guests and LISTENING to them and just letting them tell their stories. My biggest pet peeve with podcasts is when the host constantly cuts off their guests and talks over them and talks MORE than them. You can tell that Trish is GENUINELY interested in what her guests have to say. And I've seen Alexa on quite a few podcasts now, the first one I ever seen with her was Let's Get Into It with Sloan. It was the first time I heard her full story. I feel so bad for the things that she (and many others) endured as a child. And even as an adult with her ex-husband. I can relate to her on so many levels, when it comes to that. What she's doing now is truly amazing and I just KNOW that she'll help with the change this world needs!! #eatpredators

Now knowing that she was bullied and made fun of for being that smiley girl (and I was too) makes me really proud of her for standing her ground and leaving the show.

@itsLindsayJean This is so true. I hope the young girls understand this. And I especially see this with individuals who obviously are truly strong and have something to offer the world on the inside. I used to be told that as a kid, but not bullied instead joke made. But out of all of my peers now in my 40s, I'm the most vocal and unafraid of standing up for things. Alexa is the absolute strongest and most mentally sound out of all of them.
People have always been so critical of the bizarre or “crazy” behavior of adult child actors. We added on to their trauma as a society in a lot of ways because we didn’t have constant entertainment back then and people cared way too much what people did. It’s so great to finally shine a light on the trauma and exploitation of minor actors/stars. We are finally in a place in society where we know objectively wrong things aren’t acceptable anymore. I mean who recently has come up to tabloids\paparazzi with the same ire and fervor as Amanda Bynes or Lindsey Lohan or Britney Spears. Thank goodness
When I was a kid I clearly remember how hard Nickelodeon pushed Jamie Lynn Spears. When they added her to All That, they ran commercials and promos non stop. Then when they made Zoey101 they pushed that even harder. And Jamie Lynn wasn’t what Nickelodeon promised in my opinion. Looking back now it’s so clear what a huge brat she was then, and how awful she still is now. It’s even more clear to me that Jamie Lynn is a terrible person after Britneys book came out. This girl was a victim of both Schneider and Jamie Lynn and I’m glad she is standing up for herself and telling her story

Kids who act like Jamie Lynn is honestly a reflection of terrible parenting. Any parent who doesn’t teach their child empathy and inclusion is trash.
Britney sort of explained it as by that point her dad was deep into his alcoholism and her mom would just give in to Jamie to shut her up because she was an annoying brat
It's a reflection of a broken home. Misery loves company
She was a spoiled brat. Britney talked about how spoiled she was in her book and how her and Bryan were never treated like that smh
Ya the little brat turned on her own sister. She still seems like a miserable person to this day.
@ville__how ? He’s in jail.

i’m an infrequent watcher so i’ve never seen trisha cover a more serious topic like this, and just wow… she is a truly great interviewer. she asks thoughtful and appropriate questions, she relates her own experience without making it about herself, just so much empathy and understanding
i’ve always enjoyed trish as a performer and the entertainment value she brings to her content, but this interview really made me see her in an all new light with a newfound respect
brava, trish
Wow, thank you!

same, I gasped when she said that because I'd been told the same thing as a kid!
I resonated with that so much as well

I also got asked that question all the time at 14, and ‘are you on drugs’ and I’d be mocked because of being bubbly and excitable. I actively try not to smile too much to this day since people take advantage of that personality type.

Alexa still has a lot of the same mannerisms that she had when she was younger, it's so cute. She has such a brightness to her.
she's a grifter
Funny how Alexa was probably one of the youngest workers on set (at 12) but one of the most MATURE. Because the “adults” on set definitely were NOT acting like adults. And the kids who bullied her acted like immature 2-year-olds with no home training.
@@amylee8969agreed, and she’s grown to be a truly wonderful and strong woman with a huge purpose with this movement. i’m truly glad that they were not able to break her spirit and instead made her stronger. she’s a great role model. ❤

@joaokowalski9736 like how? How is she a grifter? That's silly.

@brittc18
True, Jamie Lynn was glorified b/c she and her parents chose to kiss Dan’s a$$ and take the inappropriate treatment and exposure. If Jamie/Britney had responsible parents, that show would’ve been canceled after 1 season.
Trisha was so comforting and so sweet to her, you need to get Jennette mcCurdy on next.
Yes!!! This
And Daniella Monet.
jennette mucurdy doesn’t need to explain her story over again when she already has multiple times.
Yes! Totally agree with this.
I agree 100%!!!❤
They were jealous of her because she was our favorite character!
She needs to apologize to Jamie for bullying her first she was jealous that Jamie became friends with Victoria
@marissar.359
She played one of the most popular characters that everyone liked. I think deep down Jamie KNEW that Zoey was a dull character and that her acting skills were on the weak side (I wasn’t a fan of the show, I just saw a few clips here and there.). I think she felt threatened that Alexa could steal her cloud.
When I saw the guest, I gasped lmao

Nicole was literally my favorite character on zoey 101. After nicole left i subconsciously didn’t like zoey 101 anymore. Now i realize that that was the reason, she was the best character on the show
She was my first crush😭🫶🏻
I had no idea Jaime was Britney’s sister at the time but I always felt like they just casted her as the lead because she was pretty, blond and blue eyed. I guess I was right in a way.
i completely agree. she was the most interesting to me, i was over the show after she left

Having a 9 months preggo BRITNEY SPEARS yelling at me on set as a teen would have me throwing up too. And I'm a 30 year old woman. Sending all the love to you Alexa.
The fact that she manipulated her pregnant sister to even do that is absolutely disgusting
I hope Alexa is able to properly sue her assaulter one day. The legal system is so unfair and impossible to navigate without money. I understand the helpless feeling all too well.
trisha is such a beautiful listener, the way she let alexa speak for so long is so sweet.
Seems like Trisha did more for Alexa in this ONE interview segment than Nickelodeon did in 2 years.
trisha, this is literally your best interview yet.
First time I see Trisha so quiet, she is definitely invested in the convo. What a great interview
Teenage girl bullying is soooo traumatic most emotional time of my life and im sure many others
Yess! I’m 34 now but I’m still on a journey to healing because of that trauma.
Sadly yes
Now they've transitioned to bullying in comments on the internet instead.
It’s not just girls. My bullying literally turned me from the extroverted happy child I was into a incredibly shy anxious introvert
Honestly teenage girls are the worst. I hated them when I was one now I’m like move little girl I already hate you 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s nice for Alexa to be able to just talk and not have to run and host a whole show- good on Trish for having her on and giving her the floor !!

Alexa Nikolas deserves so much more RESPECT, let alone recognition, for how much she’s been speaking out against p*dos and literal child abuse. I love how she is promoting POWER to the victim. Such a strong, well spoken, smart, and brave woman. If anyone hasn’t said it yet, THANK YOU ALEXA! You are not defined by your experiences, and it’s truly commendable how you’ve chosen to use them to bring awareness and change for future child actors.
I was never a Zoey 101 fan, I never watched it back in the day. But I do respect Alexa and applaud her.
I remember being told “You smile too much.” It still sticks with me 10 years later. So refreshing to hear someone have the same feeling
A girl said that to me one time and she was disgusted by my because of it… I’ll never forget it.
The abusive people in my life would do horrid things to me and then openly talk about how I mope around and never smile :/ thank God I grew up.

Sounds like jealousy to me. That bubbly personally makes people more likable and approachable. Any girl in real life would’ve loved to be Alexa’s friend. I think the others were threatened that she had the potential of stealing their cloud.
The one thing in this video that made my heart warm was the fact that Alexa never lost her adorable laugh 🥺she’s so damn strong.

I am SO impressed with this interview. Trish, you’re so good at keeping the tempo and keeping the guest on track whilst still allowing them the space to talk openly. You don’t overtake them or speak over them, and you add where needed but don’t overdo it. Really, really good to watch!
Trish, I am SO impressed by your recent podcasts. You really let the guests speak their truth while adding stuff in when necessary and staying engaged the whole time. I have so much respect for you, one of the best podcast hosts right now.

Britney has said how mean her sister was , sounds like she really was a Regina George. Britney wrote about how her sister tricked her into bullying Alexa in her book.
If your little sister is getting bullied, you do not assault a child. You contact the other child’s parents and have a civil conversation. What Britney did was WRONG.
and that's why she apologized ♡
this makes it no better, but it might be nice to know that brittney has since apologised. Again, this makes it no better but is nice 2 know
yes she went at it in the complete wrong way but she did not “assault” a child. Britney was defending her little sister who she thought was getting bullied relentlessly by her co-star and big sister would do what Britney did. Britney has apologized more than once to Alexia about his things went down
Assault? You mean shame and humiliate? Assault would mean she would have had to lay hands on Alexa which she didn't.
It was Jamie Lynn’s fault for gaslighting her into yelling at her and threatening her career.

I'm crying hearing alexa explain her abusive relationship, you're doing so much for survivors

A “friend” once asked me why I smiled all the time as well. Such a gross bully tactic.
The fact Victoria Justice pretty much got her start w/ Zoey 101 thanks to Alexa and just to treat her like that no wonder nobody likes her.
I'd be careful with statements like this tbh. Yes, what alexa had to go through was horrible, and yes victoria wasn't a good friend to her, but you also have to remember victoria was also only like 12/13 years old. You can't fault children for acting childish. So I don't think hating on victoria is gonna help anything
@bluesideace that is so true! Remember, Victoria had her own alleged terrible experience with dan schneider. If you've seen the blind item or the interview where she talks about her refusal to drink alcohol, you'll know what I'm talking about.
@bluesideace Actually, yes you can - as a 12/13 year old, I was ALWAYS kind to everyone (because I was raised by good parents who taught me these values).
@@bluesideaceYou always treat everyone the SAME (with kindness)
@@bluesideacebeing 12/13 is not an excuse to be mean to other people. Especially when you are on a kids show about the literally importance of friendship.
Props to Trisha for giving Alexa this platform and safe space. She has been through so much. This conversation was really wonderful.
As a shy person I would really appreciate Nicole because when I was young I was afraid to talk to people. There aren’t enough bubbly personas
The Zoey 101 girls were jealous of her. I always remember thinking Nicole was so pretty. I loved her then and still love her after this interview
I really think jamie was jealous of her and she got everyone else to hate alexa too. karmas a b cuz look at the way jamie be looking like now lolol
@@philo6542 She aged like MILK.
This was such an amazing interview!! I cried when Alexa cried!! ~ I have to really give Trish a huge compliment on this interview! Pacing was fantastic and allowing Alexa to speak without interruption and following up with perfect responses & questions. On such a serious topic being able to dial it down was fantastic. Truly professional!!
I WAS ANTICIPATING THIS !! YOU ARE EVERYTHING TRISHA! Thanks for this amazing podcast ❤
I’ve seen Alexa on a previous podcast before and still feel like I’ve learned so much more about her story here!💛
