Once Upon a Time In the West is just the best soundtrack ever. I used to hold a cassette player to the TV and record the music to listen back to in my bed at night.
Much better than the movie in my opinion. I heard the music long before I watched the movie, and to me the music is way bigger and better, though the movie is ok. But if you love this music don't watch the movie, my two cents..
I remember my parents introducing the film to my older sisters. I was not old enough to watch it at the time, so had to go to bed and just listen to the incredible score from upstairs! I still remember that vividly now. My favourite film and have watched it many times since, including at the London BFI cinema on the southbank. What an epic. And I am back here just listening the score again!
I remember seeing seeing this movie as a 7 year old ...oh my God ...it stayed with me for weeks .. I could barely handle the tension especial at the end... at 7 no movie is predictable and so I did not know if Bronson or Fonda would prevail. God it was magical.

Got hooked on ennio morricone when I saw the good bad in the ugly and have followed all of his Westerns. The big gun down has been missed by many people, great score there and he has Lee Van Cleef in a good role.
the Untouchables and Once Upon a Time in America was my favourite when I was a kid but the Dollars Trilogy and Once Upon a Time in the West are my favourites

I saw this movie for first time in late 70's on late night T.V. I was 12 or 13 and I remember thinking how great the music was. I have seen it ton's of times since, one of the best films made.
This film and a fist full of dynamite were brilliant. The music score by Ennio Morriconne is amazing. Along with the film "Once upon a time in America". Ennio was a very talented man with producing the all the music scores he done over the years. Listening to his work is a privalidge to have been able to. enjoy..... 🔥🔥🔥
