You chose it, now what is it ? We reveal what we bought and why as we begin a series of how to get a tractor to a reliable running condition for a sensible price. So what did we buy ?
This year we inherited a petrol/ tvo fergie 1954 it’s been fully restored and is currently in hiding under blankets in the shed hoping for a bit of a ru out next year. Great video as always Ford as much as I love my Deere’s I think the Ford is easier to save!!!
My mate's got one he wanted to demolish the shed it was parked in not been going for at least 10 years gave it a pull and it fired straight up didn't even put fresh fuel in it lovely sounding engine.
I’ve got a TEF diesel here in Australia it’s what I first learnt to drive before a car love the thing, pulls a 7 tine case chisel plow and 14 plate Daniel Harvey trailing disc
Brings back happy memories of my TEF20 tractor restoration in 1987. First engine I stripped & rebuilt, started & ran lovely. Only thing was it had the Standard car exhaust manifold, so the vertical exhaust wasn't vertical. Keep up the great vid's Sir.
Not everyones cup of tea but still a great little tractor. Really enjoyed that vid. Started dating herself nearly 5 years ago and was being introduced to her parents and her dad could see straight away I was a country boy and liked my toys. Within 5 minutes of meeting him we were out in the shed chatting about this and that, BUT in the corner was this 4 cylinder tef, stripped down to nearly the last bolt, parts everywhere. Interest caught me and asked about it. It was sitting there in the corner stripped like that for nearly 30 years ENGINE NEAR SIZED and he said, sometime ill get that going. And I was laughing in my head sayin ya that'll never see the light of day again. Well following winter he got the motivation and began by pouring kerosene and waste oil mix into cylinders every evening and giving it a very slight turn on the pully, repeated process for several weeks untill he got the full roatation freely. Put her all back together and painted her up. That tractor will start hail rain snow or frost now. Gave him an old transport box I had and he flys around on it doing on jobs. Real credit to him. Ford 3000, like my massys but a ford man at heart 👍
Cracking little tractor, I remember driving one with a set of gang mowers as a lad. It was left for dead at the local cricket club and bought by my uncle, now used to drive a home made log splitter 👍
The little ford 3000 for me, mind you John deere would be ok too. Anyway I'm not bothered thanks for finding the time to film and upload the video's and keeping us entertained...👍👍👍
The smile on both of your faces when the tractor starts moving is priceless 😂. It’s what it’s all about👍 top job, nice to see things being done properly
Only the interior decorator kind of barstool mechanic would claim that washing something makes it run better. Fix it first, wash it later. Make it go before you bother to show. Otherwise you've still got nothing but a better looking lawn ornament. Great vid, as usual Kurt. I'd have to vote for the Ford 3000 next.
Had a 35 TVO with the 4 cylinder 87mm. What a massive piece of shite that thing was. Had it for four years and it never ran right, replaced the head gasket, rebuilt the carb and replaced all the gaskets that could allow a vacuum leak. Replaced the timing chain, fitted electronic ignition to get rid of those pesky points. And much more.... Still ran like shit so it was sold.
I have a tea50 ferguson and I'm amazed how similar the petrol model is to the diesel. On mine where the aux tank and starter fluid tank is my battery is there. When I got mine the thermostat housing was so corroded it had been leaking onto the rocker cover and rotted that out too. Got it cheap because it would only run for a few minutes and then die. The fuel tap was so clogged because the pre filter was missing
Afternoon muck. Would be interesting to see more of the ford 3000 as definitely a machine I was very fond of when I started work have a good weekend all
Thank you for this. Long time subscriber, 1st time comment. I have two old landini 75f advantage. Trying to get them running so I can get my farm up and running. Welcome to come visit us in sunny RSA
Timing is everything with those 20c engines. As soon as the timing chain wears they become hard to start. Great content at the minute. we appreciate the effort that goes into making them!
I used to drive a diesel 20 when I a kid and occasionally got to drive the MF35 which had the 3 cylinder engine and was awesome. I managed to get my self a MF35x a couple of years ago and it is really awesome. When it comes to sniff farmers always said ‘don’t use easy start or it will always need it to start’ but its like no! it just needs it to start because its rubbish when its cold. PS l like the video clips you pop in there, stuff the whining wallies I say. ;-)
Never thought I would say this, ( because I’m more of a tractor driver than a tractor fixer ) but I have decided you are my favourite channel on RUclips. Keep up the good work buddy and thanks for sharing.
Just a point - I was always told to wash a car (i know, not a tractor) if it had been sat. The theory being you can see what the bodywork is like before starting work, bodywork being more expensive to sort than (some) mechanical issues. love the intro!
I laughed when you talked about washing before you know if will run. I know people that constantly wash and detail their stuff. Went to look at a pickup truck a few years ago the guy advertised it was well looked after after looking at it for awhile the guy had towels on his carpet he tells me its to keep the carpet clean yup carpet looks brand new look under truck floor rusted out probably from shampooing the carpet and not drying it out truck was dented allover paint peeled off from holding pressure washer to close rust holes wires were a mess all butchered the truck was really a piece of crap but it was clean but damm that carpet was like new. So my understanding is doesn't matter how bad the vehicle may be but that clean carpet must be a selling feature. In my opinion if said vehicle has comfy seats and carpet i kinda like to enjoy the comfort before vehicle is worn out. Correct me if I'm wrong but why would anyone cover that stuff up except for service procedures and now at the end of vehicle's life vehicle dead but damm look at that carpet and seats ROFLMFAO 💩💩💩🤣😂🤣😂👍👍
Normally I would say close enough on a machine, that one you just worked on seems to have a decent paint job and could use a bit of a rub and think it would shine like a pretty girls smile. Only reason I mention it is one of the condition looks nice from five thousand miles away... maybe some bruises on the grill but fixable and second when nice like that, operators tend to be a little nicer to it as others just get what they get is respect for them. Looks good enough to me to get shelter in the winters left in that tractors life and let it die a bit more respectfully ... just a comment and nothing more. I happen to like those tractors as well and just looks tired from not maintenanced
I've heard a lot about the Standard 4 cylinder diesels, but I've never had any personal experience with them. This one seemed to run great though! The Standard petrol engines are solid, we've got 2 of them and they are great engines!
Great vid kurt, good ol fergie there, got a 1948 tea20 with the slightly newer engine in, in the garage which is abit of a temperamental bugger, I say the 2130 vid
Since I'm a Ford fan, I pick the Ford. My grandfather had a Ferguson, the gas (petrol) engine. I believe it was the Continental. My dad then inherited it and recently sold it. Unfortunately the rust started taking over, but it was still a good tractor. The engine running sounded like a WW1 biplane. 😄
If the heater plug works and the cold start button on the pump they will start no problem. No need for easy start because they will only start knocking and tapping. Mine starts no bother in any weather.
My brother's got the Ferguson Te20 started out life as PP and is now a P3 Perkins. His one is a 1945 he reckons it was coveted but in the 60s. Never fails to start he has just replaced the front axle support. Belarus looking forward to seeing it. Ford 3000 pls buddy.👌👍
I cut my farming teeth on a Fergie 20, it had rear wheels from a 165 on it, and would pull two loaded trailers. At 15 I thought I was the DBs, roaring up the main A22 with two loads of straw behind. Never crossed my mind that I might have to stop quick. Over 50yrs ago now, but I wish I was back there.
I would love to watch a video from both tractors, but, for now my vote goes to the ford 3000! Despite the first video that i ever saw of you was the first day you worked in the John deere! 👍
I remember my grandad having a Standard vanguard and him cursing every time he wanted to go out that it was a twat to get going. He died in 1975 ( I was only 6). My Dad inherited it, and the car went away on a trailer very soon after. Ford please sir.
Glad we both agree about the engine 😂I had one was my first tractor when I was 13 or so ended up swapping it for a early petrol tvo 35 best thing I ever did still got the massy 35 now
Great job on grey feggie, I am little tea pot, tip me over LOL interesting that tractor got all those features. Mmm I like Ford 3000 but real challenge will JD, so it’s JD vid👍
As I saw copycat "Will it start" attempts on other channels, the rude plagiarism did annoy me. However, I've had a change in perspective. Now I see copy attempts of Lord Muck productions, & realize they just show yours to be the superior product.
Another great video, although I’m not a great fergie lover myself, your channel must appeal to all to make their own minds up !! Younger views may like the smaller tractors , 😊, As the video went on , the tractor did start to grow on me too ????? Like moss maybe ???? But it was nice to see the maintenance going on !! Got to remember though Prince Andrew got rid of his fergie too though !!!!!!😆As a proud owner of a JD 4020, then the choice is easy ............ Ford 3000 please🤣🤣🤣just like that simple little thing , reminds me of myself !!
Were I am from (Canada), people love their old Massy Fergusons, I think with a Perkins diesels. Correct me if I am wrong, but they are all over the place, many old but still going.
Well that is a hard choice as most of your subscribers are opting for the Ford but I think 🤔 that the John Deere with the hydraulic front wheel assist would be a better choice as it doesn’t have any doors on plus the last you want is a wet bum from the seat 💺, that little fergie runs a treat now, now that you and your glamorous assistant have cleaned out the fuel system and by keeping this one as it came from the factory is a truly inspired idea. Yes little Ferguson Perkins Desiel tractor is amazing for sure Lord Muck :) and my first tractor restored was from old famous Doctor he had gas one and sure enjoy fix to! I never been pick person on tractor to drive or fix up! But lots fun to do and next video I say John Deere one for video and if don't win take other tractor one!
Good vid, interesting idea to go with something relatively simple. Like the start intro, although there was a second when the Ford 8830 appeared that it gave a very George Saunders deja vu moment. And was that the Belarus crawler making a move? Looking for to the next video of the Belarus and the others to come. Again not desperately bothered about which first but for the count the Ford 3000.
john deere please if you get an opportunity to do a will it start with an old lorry like a scammell or something that would be great to see, something a bit different.
Those overalls are finally seeing a bit of dirt, did you fall in a ditch? ;) Like the intro, works well. Another great upload and interesting to see this stuff, those meme clips crack me up. Hope youre keeping safe and well chap, keep up the good work and be good. Could do a Will It Start on our 177litre, straight 8 diesel!
Love her grin at 14:15 when the tractor moves off.
I’m 14 and I have just restored on if these tractors during lockdown
Nice job 👍
Thanks
That’s great! I’m 15 and doing up a Nuffield 4/65 at the moment 👍
my dad have a Nuffield Mini.
One of the best little tractors ever made!!
Love the knowledge that you give. Cheers to you and the lass!
Ford 3000. Earlier this year a guy came and topped the field opposite our cottage with a diesel Fergie. 70 years old and still doing good work.
and the tractor ?...
I should be studying, but it's time for this!
This year we inherited a petrol/ tvo fergie 1954 it’s been fully restored and is currently in hiding under blankets in the shed hoping for a bit of a ru out next year. Great video as always

Ford 3000, like my massys but a ford man at heart 👍
I know a couple of guys in Norway that these, left out all summer, when the snow comes, the battery goes back in and they are used for snow clearing
Cracking little tractor, I remember driving one with a set of gang mowers as a lad.
It was left for dead at the local cricket club and bought by my uncle, now used to drive a home made log splitter 👍
Great video mate. And yer totally agree why clean something that you don’t no work or runs. Or even if it will run
Greed takes over, do both SIR
Would love to see the old 3000. I went from one of those to a David Brown 12 12. So for a bit of nostalgia really.
The little ford 3000 for me, mind you John deere would be ok too. Anyway I'm not bothered thanks for finding the time to film and upload the video's and keeping us entertained...👍👍👍
Thanks for adding to my weekly entertainment. You always get me laughing and smiling. I would love to see the John Deere.
Really like the introduction, if it is not new, then I've been asleep @ the switch.
No, it's the first time I've used it Bill.
The smile on both of your faces when the tractor starts moving is priceless 😂. It’s what it’s all about👍 top job, nice to see things being done properly
It's a good feeling 😉

Looks like ive lots fun to look forward to rebuilding a siezedengine in my TEF.
Great vid as usual, lovely to see the old fergie my grandad had the petrol tvo one lovely little tractor in it's day.
My vote goes for the Ford 3000
Me and my dad love watching your videos and the new intro is good 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for this.
Long time subscriber, 1st time comment.
I have two old landini 75f advantage.
Trying to get them running so I can get my farm up and running.
Welcome to come visit us in sunny RSA
Cheers !
The 4cyl 35 was the pig to start , the 23c
Oh and like the new opening sequence.
Very posh! Do well!
3000 every day mate. You can push the JD back in to the hedge, that's where it belongs 😄
NEW INTRO IS BOSS!! Well done MUKKAH!! An ill be happy with whatever video you put up😏 im sure all your videos are GOOD SHIT MAN!
Timing is everything with those 20c engines. As soon as the timing chain wears they become hard to start. Great content at the minute. we appreciate the effort that goes into making them!

As am I but you need to know how to keep them going 😂
U da man you say it how it is no messing around and talking bollocks u just just say how it is love it
Just a point - I was always told to wash a car (i know, not a tractor) if it had been sat. The theory being you can see what the bodywork is like before starting work, bodywork being more expensive to sort than (some) mechanical issues. love the intro!
There's not a lot of bodywork to worry about on a tractor...
I laughed when you talked about washing before you know if will run.

Great video Kurt 👍🏻 Ford 3000
2130 👌 been so long since we last saw it that I think a little re-cap would be ideal!
Send it Kim 🤗
I absolutely love my tef, not hard to start at all and does everything I ask of it
I'd enjoy seeing the Deere get run through, just because of personal history, but I'm sure I'll enjoy either for content. Thanks for the content.
I had a tvo and a tef , loved them both so easy to work on and fun to spin around in.
that ladies smile is infectious, like the cat that got the cream.
I'd like to see the 2130 👌🏻 really enjoyed this vid and it Is a surprisingly good fergie
I used to drive a 3000 at a park district when I was 18. I have a soft spot for them. Please show the Ford.
Love the new intro. Ford 3000
Brilliant what a tractor . Well done . TO BOTH of you
👍🏻👍🏻 keep up good work

Yep I reckon that's pretty much it.
I'll continue to go through it mechanically and make sure everything works.
She's under cover now for the winter.
Great video Mucker farm next to me growing up had three of them little fergies , but ime a ford man has to be the 3000
I've heard a lot about the Standard 4 cylinder diesels, but I've never had any personal experience with them. This one seemed to run great though! The Standard petrol engines are solid, we've got 2 of them and they are great engines!

Lord Muck, you and the young lady make a good team. I watched her help you on the dozer too. Bring on the 3000 Ford.
Great video really like the intro and the john deere gets my vote
Another good video , love the Fergie's , Restored a few of them myself. Lets see the Ford 3000. Everyone is doing JD's. Keep safe
I put a little P3Perkins in one ,35hp worked great , great wheel barrow!
If the heater plug works and the cold start button on the pump they will start no problem. No need for easy start because they will only start knocking and tapping. Mine starts no bother in any weather.
Quite agree start first wash after ! And Ford 3000 please !😊👍
Love you explanation of ether use (diesel smack, smack for engines).
Love the intro !!!

Great video as always definitely the ford 3000 since I am a ford lover & my dad has a 50yr old ford 3600 so definitely the ford 3000
You sure can make a funny vid, i like these and someone has spent some time on it ,thumbs up
I remember my grandad having a Standard vanguard and him cursing every time he wanted to go out that it was a twat to get going. He died in 1975 ( I was only 6). My Dad inherited it, and the car went away on a trailer very soon after. Ford please sir.
😂
Hi. I vote for the 2130 please. Thanks for the great video as always. Greetings to you from Ireland.
I think your lass has a new toy lol
Glad we both agree about the engine 😂I had one was my first tractor when I was 13 or so ended up swapping it for a early petrol tvo 35 best thing I ever did still got the massy 35 now
Love the new intro
Great video on the fergie. John Deere 2130 for the video.
I think we all cross paths Bill and do similar stuff but in different ways.
Loving the new intro......nice little fergie that 👍
Glad you like it
The grey Fergie, the original four wheeler... England's Swiss army knife for farmers. And they're cute too...
Great intro and video as always
Great video as always love ur knowledge Ford 3000
Were I am from (Canada), people love their old Massy Fergusons, I think with a Perkins diesels. Correct me if I am wrong, but they are all over the place, many old but still going.
So is malaria....😉
Well that is a hard choice as most of your subscribers are opting for the Ford but I think 🤔 that the John Deere with the hydraulic front wheel assist would be a better choice as it doesn’t have any doors on plus the last you want is a wet bum from the seat 💺, that little fergie runs a treat now, now that you and your glamorous assistant have cleaned out the fuel system and by keeping this one as it came from the factory is a truly inspired idea.
You know don’t you just hate that group of people called they cos they are a bunch of nutters with nothing else better to do than interfere in what other people like your good self are doing and if they don’t like it then they can go and bury the heads in the sand !.
Ford 300 . Love the old fergies I dont live on a farm or even have acces to one but I would love to own a little fergie .
Ford 3000 and another great vid kurt now you got a fergie you wont stop!!.
I think the little tank was for the Ki Gass pump. It pumped fuel over an ignitor coil in the inlet manifold.
No, its an auxiliary fuel tank - the Ki-gas tank is the one up top on the R/H side.
Saunders would grind the gears in an 8830 Powershift 😂
Brilliant vid as ever. Lovely little tractor 🚜
john deere please
if you get an opportunity to do a will it start with an old lorry like a scammell or something that would be great to see, something a bit different.
Great video as always. My votes for the old JD 2130
Film us the Ford 3000 lad - I like the look of it. First tractor I ever put a clutch in myself in the field after finishing Ag Mech Course in 87..
I hope the will it start is a smiley transit!!! there guaranteed to start!!🤣😂
great video
We have actually done that a while back and filmed it ! I might upload it to Instagram !
Done and sent ✌️🤦♀️😂
Learned to drive on a wee massey 35. That needed dragged down the yard to get going of a morning lol.
Ford 3000
Nice .looks like a massy 135 like my dad had .but his was reg fuel but ya I love that style of tractor ..so looking forward to this vid
Cool new intro Kurt, Ford 3000, good stuff:):)
Those overalls are finally seeing a bit of dirt, did you fall in a ditch? ;)
Like the intro, works well. Another great upload and interesting to see this stuff, those meme clips crack me up. Hope youre keeping safe and well chap, keep up the good work and be good.
Could do a Will It Start on our 177litre, straight 8 diesel!
They've seen some action of late but not a washing machine. They have the ability to stand up on their own...
Learnt to drive on a small Massey Ferguson and I'd guess that many other subscribers did too
