Okay but can we talk about how rude that teacher is for making fun of a CHILD! for wearing a dress!! I freaking love dresses and looking nice. It is also always a better day if I don't have to put pants on 😂😂

It genuinely upsets me that you had a teacher who resorted to picking on you for wearing a dress. I remember feeling utterly betrayed when a favorite teacher of mine laughed when one of the kids who bullied me made a really humiliating joke about me and another boy in my class. I know they're only human, but they're also adults with a lot of influence and authority and I am so sorry that happened to you. Your teacher was so wrong to do that.

One of my favorite things about your videos is that you acknowledge how expensive things are. Like most of us cannot afford the things influencers spend on.

I’m so offended that the items you got were actually wearable. They sent me like gross matronly blouses.

I have two friends that work for Stitch Fix and we discovered that most the brands from Stitch Fix are sold in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s. Exact items but double the price or more on Stitch Fix

Hi Alex, I myself would take a photo of the outfits on and then try to recreate for a more affordable deal. I’d even go on Poshmark and look for the exact skirt and black tank. But, that’s just me. I just purchased a similar cardigan from Ross for 14.99. It’s so cute. Same color with pockets. I would never say anything but you asked. Whatever makes you happy though.

This doesn’t address the issue at hand at all, but I would really love to see your TJMaxx/other discount shopping hauls! I just love seeing what other people find at those stores 😅

Keep the skirt, you loved it. The sweater you can find cheaper or probably own. Everything else isn't worth anything since you don't like it. Never be fooled by "retail pricing." Won't they take $20 off the skirt so it'll be $40? I don't understand the charging $20 for styling just to take it off? Lol unless they keep it on if you like everything. Also your teacher was horrible for making fun of your dress. I'll never understand why people teachers when they don't like kids. I've always loved dresses and sadly stopped wearing them after 6th grade when I realized I was the only one who did. Haven't worn one since prom and I miss them but don't feel comfortable in them at my size. Absolutely no offense but the block sweater was no good, I don't think it would be flattering on anyone

Keep the skirt, you won’t find anything else like it and it’s sounds like you would get a lot of use out of it. It’s also something you could wear through all the seasons

Stitch Fix has been amazing for me this past year, I have lost 110lbs and have had absolutely no idea how to style myself. I'm finally able to wear clothes that I have wanted to wear for years. Also, I've been going down a size every month or two and it is so easy to adjust the sizing to accommodate that. There aren't many stores in my area, and even fewer of those were allowing you to try on clothes right now. My stylist has been absolutely amazing and seems like she knows me perfectly. She has never even seen a picture of me, but she KNOWS my style. It is crazy. I regularly do the style quizzes and it have even bought some of the pieces they suggest to complete outfits. I've gotten 6 boxes and have returned only a single item, everything else has fit beautifully and has been such amazing quality. I preview the items before they ship and pick my favorites. As someone who has been hiding behind my drab clothes for years, Stitch Fix has been a major part of my life change and I am grateful to my stylist! Shout out to Kyla! The pricing is not for everyone, but the quality of the items is fantastic and I have pieces that will last for years.

😭 your picture day story is very upsetting. Why adults ever comment on children in that way will never make sense.

I can't believe a teacher would make fun of a student for wearing a dress to picture day, isn't that just normal?? I would be traumatized as well 😭😭

I really like Stitch Fix I live out in the sticks and the closest shopping is over an hour away so if I know I have something special coming up I can ask for specific things. I also get my business clothes and it makes a great refresh to my work attire!! I only get the box every 3 months but can request an extra if I have something coming up.

So understand your concern at the prices. I get at least 80% of my clothes at thrift stores or Ebay used. I don't like the idea for spending over 10 dollars for a shirt and about 12 for jeans.

I used to feel the same way about clothes but now I prefer to invest in quality pieces that will last for a long time and won’t need to be replaced as quickly.

Thank you for thinking about clothing costs like a real person. I watch Stitch Fix and other closing subscription unboxings on other channels and am amazed at how much some people spend on things without blinking an eye. It's nice to see someone who shops like I do! I would suggest writing down the information about all the pieces you liked and looking on ebay, mercari, and poshmark.

I would personally just keep the skirt. You really loved it, and to have something you love that much for $40 is worth it. The cardigan is cute, but not unique enough to pay that price, in my opinion.
