Darrin, wanted to say thank you so much for the content you have produced over the years. Your a master of your trade and appeals to the masses. Learned many tips from ya and I am sure other folks have too. Please don't change a thing. With that being said maybe a vintage snowmobile rescue, and/or a jaunt to the cabin in the winter with Brian. Much respect and luv. Ben
Picked up two push mowers for free today. I gave them the Mustie once over. Both were in dire need of TLC. Oil was grossly over serviced, air filters missing, blades installed upside down. Gave them a shot of gas and they at least fired up. Mowed my lawn with one of them today, after making repairs. Carb work needed on the other. Thanks Mustie for all the on the job training.
What a beautiful beast. Man I wish I had my legs back , I loved woods trail riding from the time I was 8 my first mini bike with a worn out Tecumseh engine. Lost my ability to walk at 23 . Now my only rides a hospital bed in my house. Can't even enjoy my wheelchair now . I have some old scooters I was going to make an All wheel drive with four drive motors . But pains ruined what's left for me now. I did small engines my entire life till I couldn't.
Hear you, man. Am 65 this year, legs and knees pain getting worst everyday on. Nothing available to alleviate or cure. Scares the shit out of me. Can't stand the f....g cold we have here, Montréal, Québec area. -14°C / 3.2° F today - Hold on, man. Kudos, bro.
I don't know what was more fun...watching you get this running again or watching you and Brian muddin' it up. Speaking of Brian, that little mower of his is a speed demon and it has a great sound as well. Thanks Mustie!!
I remember seeing you build this many years ago. I had bought my first quad which was a 1996 KingQuad 300 and used your initial troubleshooting and tuning videos on it to help get my quad running a bit better. I was maybe 13 at that time? Really fostered my love of wrenching and fixing small engines, cars, quads, mowers etc. Love the channel! I'm glad I found it again!
Mustie1 I am going on 64 this next Spring and still try to sling wrenches and throw an occasional hammer or pliers. I have been doing this since I was 13 and started out with working on lawn mower engines. I started working in a garage one year later ... you and I have so much in common .... we both sweat gas and bleed oil. You have the coolest garage and if I could have one like yours I would be able to die a happy man, just stay yourself and keep up the great videos ... I am a retired engineer technologist..... and un-degreed engineer and worked for the big yellow worm for over 45 years! Love you as a brother of the toolbox keep up the great shows you list on RUclips.
I have watched your channel for a long time and the other day heard you say that you where dyslexic. I am to dyslexic and would like to say thank you so much for things you have show me and others. I myself have a VW 1967 split and the small things I have learnt from you really mean have helped me. Thank you.
Now it needs a bath. Good job. Now you really had fun on that swamp buggy. It does have some power left in it. It took you and your know how to bring in back. Have fun with it for a long time.
Its a beautiful thing watching life slowly being restored into something. Dying, being buried, rotting away, only to be brought back by Mr M. I love it.
I've just binge watched the playlist of this build, and i must say I was sorry to see it had been left outside in the weather to slowly rot away. Great you're bringing it back to life again, because it's a very nice and versatile little workhorse you got there. :-)
Reminds me of Mike and I, one afternoon on gold claim, on 4x4 four wheelers messing around for a few hours , what a blast ! love it ! Thank you Mustie 1 for your site !
the mud encrusted final grin shot says it all! of course, it also kind of looks like you were blowing bubbles in that milkshake emulsion that came out of the crankcase, lol
Finally taking her for a beating she did well! Excellent video excellent footage nice to see Brian out there too with his crazy tractor. Keep up the good work Darren
There is some good ideas in that configuration If a manufacture made something similar.... Have storage under the seat area, under the hood a large fuel tank with the easy accessible large battery, add a winch front and back, floor board nurf bar, 360 LED lighting, the compressed air is good too. Thanks for sharing the video
Cheers Mustie, all your videos are an inspiration, a joy, and give me hope as a 50YO myself that I can still play and have fun like a child, Greetings from Ireland BTW
Thanks for all the effort put into your video Musite! I have been a fan for years and I'm glad you decided to NOT go with the TV deal. TV dilutes and destroys everything it touches. Your vids are a perfect blend the way they are and I would hate to have anything compromise your work. Keep em up and you'll soon hit the 200,000!

it's alive, just can't get enough of your mad scientist approach to machines! You too will never grow up and you've got a driving neighbors nuts with your toys? Maybe some front fenders? Thanks and please keep the videos coming my dear friend
Rat Rod needs three holsters: holster for fender hammer; holster for large channel lock; and holster for thick pry bar/screwdriver. During winter park Rat Rod in shop with grow light over brush in dumper.
Way to go Mustie. That's the most fun I've seen you have since I've been watching your channel. Doin' a great job. Keep up the good work and have some more fun.
Darren I worked on that exact same carburetor on my 88 Quadrunner and the exact same thing happened to me man. What I ended up doing was drilling a hole in the plunger and get either a wood screw or some kind of small self tapping screw and screw it in and yanked it out. I also used a MAPP gas torch. It was a pain but it came out.
rat rod quad has been my favorite video series so far Mustie. Recent sub here, probably about 2 mos. but I've been "binge" watching a lot of your stuff. Awesome videos man, I'm from Mass & grew up with trikes, quads, mopeds & bikes reg. & dirt so to see you bringing back all these old machines & mocking up new stuff is inspiring. Keep up the great work, looks like you get to do what you love & that's the goal for most of us guys
Glad you didn’t take the TV deal.... as you stated, this wasn’t “organic” like all your past videos, I could tell the difference. Keep up with the winning formula you have developed and soon you will have 200k subs enjoying your hard work. Thank you Mustie, by far my favorite channel.
That is definatly a cool build ! I have been looking for a wrecked quad for years , around here people want a small fortune for them . I only have a small lot with one rider for the back / side yard and a second one chianed up with snow blower mounted up that sits in it's "trampoline frame , tarp shed " , just waiting for some snow . If I ever find one for cheap , I want to build a mini all around tractor with a loader bucket and way too many attachments . Keep the videos coming , many of us get inspired by your videos . Thanks
original playlist for this build is here,ruclips.net/p/PLzYNz5XDjz2EWjujjFv2wo8k_5ap6snFk

If Mustie says it's gonna run, it will run! Not often you have to prune the atv.
Ian McClendon lmfao
If all of your vids were an hour long.... I wouldn't complain.
DITTO! my friend!
I don't know what was more fun...watching you get this running again or watching you and Brian muddin' it up. Speaking of Brian, that little mower of his is a speed demon and it has a great sound as well. Thanks Mustie!!
it almost has a growl of a mopar.. i want my corolla to sound like that :/
Over the river and through the woods to Brian's house we go.
John Kifflom Fairy Tail ...Like the Brothers Grim. They were scary books!
I love Mustie's maniacal laugh when an engine finally starts. It reminds me of an old frankenstein movie "It's alive. It's alive." :-)
I'm falling asleep, but still watching. I'm enjoying the video, just tired.
I remember seeing you build this many years ago. That hammer cracks me up. Every. Single. Time.
Nice the old tractor project doing its job. Thank you for the videos.
I just don't understand those folks who dislike these videos. What? I love watching and learning.
They want you to run around in little electric cars all within sight of the cities so they can control you. Barack would be pleased.
It’s nice to see you ripping around enjoying yourself. You are always working.
Yeah, I DO wanna try it! You and Brian were having way too much fun!

I've just binge watched the playlist of this build, and i must say I was sorry to see it had been left outside in the weather to slowly rot away. Great you're bringing it back to life again, because it's a very nice and versatile little workhorse you got there. :-)
That was a shit-eating grin. You live to make engines live. Don't ever stop and thank you for your pragmatic approach to mechanics. Appreciated.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. You sir, are not dull. Giv..er!!
Brians tractor has the meanest exhaust I have ever hear heard.

You can’t never kill the Suzuki quadrunner, I have trying for 5 Year’s now and it’s still running
I watched the entire video! I miss having a shop I can tinker on things in - someday again. Thanks for posting.
Looks like it runs well and judging from the big smile on your muddy face you are having as much fun possible. Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Perfect length of video. Wait until HBO wants to do a one hour special "Game of Carb Cleaners" "A Mustie always cleans his carbs."
Rat Rod needs three holsters: holster for fender hammer; holster for large channel lock; and holster for thick pry bar/screwdriver. During winter park Rat Rod in shop with grow light over brush in dumper.
Man, that's got a mean snarl to it when you rev it up! Love the flapper on the exhaust clanging at idle. Fun in the mud too! I want one of these!

Nice rat-quad!

Another enjoyable and informative episode. Thanks once again.
That thing is so cool. You are my hero.
The look of the breather and exhaust setup and the sound when you rev reminds me of a Kenworth k100 with a Detroit
I love that mud hog . I'm gonna build me one , thank for rehabin that thing for us to watch.
Awesome machine!! Mustie works hard, plays harder....
What an awesome machine. Needs a winch and a tow truck gantry to lift things like engine blocks. And a PTO for a pump or mower
Sweet Rat Rod, talk about turning trash to treasure, Thanks for letting us watch you fixing it :D
Glad you didn’t take the TV deal.... as you stated, this wasn’t “organic” like all your past videos, I could tell the difference.
