I got one of those mini phals ,dendrobium Lindley, Ancilea ( now I have 3 different colors) , you have stunning orchids there 🎉🎉 you can never have enough 😂😂😂I'm running out of space but I already have a plan as to how I can make a little more space for orchids 😂😂😂😂we have 4 shows coming up ,every month there will be a show so I'll be working oblvertime to support my orchid addiction 😂😂 thank you fir taking us along, I don't mind if your videos are over an hr. Very pretty orchids! I always love seeing these giant antler type dendrobiums that they have. The ansellia africana is so beautifu in bloom!. I'm very happy to say that the one I got last year in July is, through some kind of miracle, still with me. Not quite blooming size yet though but she just started a new growth, so that's exciting. Anyhow, looking forward to part 2 ;)
Awesome haul❤ Don't be afraid to water the anselia africana as long as it has good drainage( I don't fuss too much with mine and grow it in bark only) NE South Africa Africa has an equatorial region with high humidity that's always damp...ish You'll find this plant at the top of the tree canopy following the light We fondly call it the " leopard orchid)

My favorite in this haul is the Dakao 'Flamea Enami'. So beautiful! Interesting that you can differentiate several different scents from the flower. Can you also taste the different flavors in a fine brandy, e.g. blueberry, oak, cherry, all in the same sip? Very sensuous man!
Unfortunately I’ve tried to learn the flavors in wine, but I don’t have that skill. But I have been smelling orchids for years. I’ve learned separate the tones in the fragrance. 🌸

Hi Nicole, I'm just so heavy handed with my watering and don't trust myself to use just moss. 😊. I live in Maryland so i think our weather is similar, that said ive lost quite a few orchids because i ended up rotting them in the moss. Totally my fault. Anyway I hope you have a safe trip 💗.
When I saw your Ansella africana, I feel sad, mine died of over watering, those years when I just let my handyman do his thing of watering etc...Great monotypic orchid!!
Oh no! You see, I saw it and instantly I felt like its not one to water heavy. Even tho I was told by a viewer that they do grow in very humid areas up high under tree canopies in Africa. It gave me a beautiful visual of how they must look growing in the wild.

Richard Mueller - Cattleya Lacey Michelle Matherne (1765) I also got some cattleyas from Akatsuka, Hausermann, and Waldor's. @@naturenel All orchids from Krull Smith arrived today. Pretty young plants, but the Small World came with two buds. They're purple but it's supposed to be a yellow flower. The tag has 4N (Tetraploid) which I wasn't expecting. It's getting harder to make space. 😅 I'm going to have two plant stands on the western facing windowsill and one in my western facing bedroom that has built in LED lighting.

I was just wondering which orchids are native to Cuba and I found the Fire Star Orchid (Epidendrum radicans). There's also the Ghost Orchid, Pleurothallis, Encyclia, Clamshell, and Nun's Hood orchids.
Lol! Those poor Schillerianas. But they are stable and coming back. Cuba has so many encyclias. I own about 8 of them from Hamlyn Orchids- Jamaica. If you really want to get into Cuban orchids, that’s the place to start. 🤩
Same thing happened to my phalaenopsis schilleriana it beautiful and healthy I move it in a new space and went to work when I come home they got burn 😢 the two of them only one leaf Left... The spike stop develop Im so afraid... And now I don't know they will survive im so depressed 😢
Chances are they will come back. They are super sensitive above all the rest of the Phalaeonopsis. Keep it in an area that doesn’t receive any direct sunlight. They do not like heavy heat either.

Phals and direct sun equals death. They blister very easy. The Schilleriana are even more sensitive to heat and sun. ☀️

The schillerianas are looking safe. They did drop the blistered leaves, but they look stable.

Repot your orchids in lava rock mixed with charcoal. You need allot of drainage if you are a heavy 💦.
