@@JuliaPacheco It is the simplest of concepts, but I NEVER thought to do it while food is in the fry pan. I do usually do it when cleaning up. All that time wasted with my slotted spoon to try and get the grease off. Love the lesson. Thanks so much, Julia.

My Daughter gave me an Instantpot Duo Mini (3 Qt) for Christmas this year.
That said, here’s a little about me. I am a retired, but classically trained Executive Chef with over 35 years of experience in commercial kitchens. I can tell you who identified the five Mother Sauces and who first codified them, and I can tell you what is needed to turn a Bechamel into a Mornay Sauce.
But I was afraid to use the Instantpot, as I have seen the damage pressure cookers can do when not used properly.
I subscribe to only two cooking channels on RUclips and yours is one of them, so I checked your channel for "Scared to use an Instantpot" and there it was. You Julia, taught me how to use it and not be afraid it would blow up my kitchen, I look forward to attempting some of your Instantpot ideas.

I love instant pot recipes and these looked so yummy, will definitely be trying these. And i have been using your paper towel method since you first showed that for sopping up grease and am so thankful as it has saved so much time over draining the grease. Thank you for sharing.

YASSSS!!!!! Is there any possible way I can help you convince people that an Instant Pot is NOT A BOMB WITH A SHORT FUSE, but rather an alternative cooking method that's safe and fast? Nobody's afraid of microwaves. There are SO MANY safety features built into modern multi-cookers you'd have to try really hard to have a disaster, by completely ignoring the owner's manual. Thank you for more delicious recipes. My IP is underused, and not because I fear it. I just need Julia's YUMMY recipes!

I tried the Wild rice soup and other than being a little on the thick side was perfect!! Can't wait to try the lazy lasagna soup next or the cube steak one.

I have been cooking for over 50 years and I love my Instant Pot! It's not scary at all, less so than a regular pressure cooker, I think. I'm going to try chicken in that wild rice soup. The roux idea is a good one.

I love it when you show the grocery shopping because I’m still wrapping my head around home cooking @ 72 and my brain gets overwhelmed when I go to the grocery store with too many recipes in my head and no shopping list 😂 Also…I just bought the cheese grater you use and everything tastes so much better grating my own 🩵

Tried the lazy lasagna recipe. But used ground turkey and Italian sausage pasta sauce instead. Turned out great!. With some toasted garlic bread of course. Hope to see future IP meals. Thanks!.
Best ideas EVER especially the cube steak recipe. always looking for "hard to cook meals" where the IP makes it fast and easy.

Love the Brinley opening and I spotted her once. I had very little hair until I was almost 3. I used to pull my own hair out...lol. All the recipes looked really good. I don't have an instapot, but I'm pretty sure I can adapt the recipes to stove top or Crock-Pot. Love your channel. God bless.❤️🙏❤️😀

I’m definitely making the lasagna soup and rice recipes! They all look delicious. I usually use my crock pot. I love it. BUT these recipes will get me to use my IP more. I just really boil eggs in it and make meatballs! 😆

I just made the wild rice soup it was delicious other than I cooked it for 35 instead of 40 and I still found it to be mushy so next time I am going to try 25 minutes. It’s definitely a favorite though! I added green onions on top serving!

Finally I am not alone ! I got it as Xmas 🎁, 2018 and haven’t used it yet ! I enjoy stove cooking though I don’t have much time but for most part I don’t know why I am still uncomfortable with the IP . Great recipes though!
