I play an '01 Starclassic Maple.... Never wanted to change since! Only changed out bass drum sizes when I can find one that matches for fun and of course... Trying all kinds of metal snares. My favorite right now is the Ludwig Bronzephonic, 6.5x14, my favorite for the price is a Tama SLP all black steel 14x8!
