I used to spend a lot of time on the tutorial worlds when I had an Xbox 360. I remember being so ecstatic when I found Stampy Cat's house in the corner of the map while exploring. (It wasn't on this one, though, it was the "TU19" update.)
3:47 Strongholds still generate under villages in Bedrock edition, and they did in legacy console edition as well. In fact, on my first world the eyes of ender pointed directly to a village well.
this must be the best day of my life. just finished the last exam for the next 4 weeks, went to the gym, came home, made a sick meal, sat down, *and you uploaded*
Legacy for xbox came out in May 2012, and disc release was 28th of June 2012, I had it on pre-order, and tu7, the tutorial world after this one, was the first I played. Love this nostalgia.
stumbled across your channel through the 404 challenge video and i love your content man, simple and no doing stuff to try and make the video better . can't wait for more vids :)
@@gengarjuice69one of the important things they teach you in art texts is to learn when to stop painting. You've hit that line of cutting away and keeping it simple.
pls make more videos on old nostalgic worlds like this! its super interesting to see how the community and the way people build have evolved since then :D
Anyway since I am now a fan, I'm gonna share a protip, boats don't crash when you drive them into soul sand, you can use it when building a dock or whatever water themed build, also more related to the video but on console you got a text pop up explaining stuff in the tutorial world
this map brings me back, ive always wanted to see someone post their like 5 or 10 year progress on this one, imagine the crazy stuff they make the original builds into.
Would've come in handy; first time playing minecraft, I didn't know how to make wooden tools, so I just mined all the gravel I could find by hand, and got stuck in the game progression. Great times, it was more than 10 years ago now. Thanks for your videos, they bring about the good kind of nostalgia.
I got your Minecraft 404 Seed Challenge video pop up on my frontpage and I'm really glad I gave it a shot, your content is truly wholesome and really enjoyable to watch, will stay here for longer, this is the minecraft content I was looking for :)
brooo I played this tutorial world on my 360 and I vividly remember trying to sleep in the bed in the room at 4:21 but there was a feature where if a room was dark enough and u tried to sleep, then you would be woken up by a hostile mob and for me a skeleton spawned and scared the shit outta me😭😭😭 anyways though really nice video dude this was quite the trip
The og totoral map was my second time in minecraft first was over my cousins. And my 3rd world is the one I still play on to this day. I hear a lot of people saying that the struggle to keep to one world for me I struggle to start a new one. I've restart from scratch in my xbox world 3 times now first on the other side of the map second in an underwater cave (my version of the 404 challenge and currently my terraformed end island.) Great video love the editing and down to earth human comentry.
Thank you for the tutorial! I couldn't get past the eye of cthulu! I remember playing a tutorial world, but on playstation edition, before 1.13 for sure. I don't remember it much, this memory is so fuzzy, but since I can play it any time I wan't I'm a little less woried about losing this thought
3:52 I used to believe that if you placed a nether portal in the middle of a village in older versions, It would take you to a nether fortress. To this day, i still dont know if it was true or not.
2:31 you wouldnt actually be able to leave this starting area until you completed some basic tasks and one of those tasks was completing this shack here, in fact that mightve been the last thing you had to do then you were able to leave and explore the rest of the world
so what your gonna wanna do to get past this part is start preserving your bombs and ropes and holding down more to look down from there you also should know that if you back whip an enemy is has a bigger hitbox then if you just normally whipped them and from there just play the game more and should be able to start clearing world one more consistently,
@@gengarjuice69 oh damn. How come all the beta content then? I play beta cause thats when I started playing as a kid, so its nostalgic. Curious about the perspective of someone who never played it as a kid
i plan on making a video about that at some point (i actually recorded it then deleted it cause meh) but the main reason is probably the simplicity, not as much pressure to always make something great@@LoafyGoblin

My most recent world in 1.20 bedrock had the stronghold under a village. Old habits die hard

certainly good to know, i actually use a quality of life mod that prevents boats from breaking, it's super useful lol
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who heard the village well rumor
