Dream Theater has been my favourite band for decades and I just realized now that Mike Portnoy has a real heavy New Yawk accent 😁

    Brings back memories!
My first EVER live music experience, was watching Avenged Sevenfold with Mike drumming, in Manchester, UK! Stone Sour and Hell Yeah there, too. The day before my birthday! Been hooked ever since.

Brooks is a great drummer but I'm kinda sad that Mike never became a official A7x Member. "Nightmare" was a KILLER record.

Omg Avenged Sevenfold with Portnoy would produce some legendary songs, a perfect mix between extremely technical, metal and pop

Mike's last show w/ Avenged was in December of that year in Vegas.

I get it …portnoy spent 25 years in DT and his net worth only only 1.2 million- once he recorded on nightmare his net worth shot up to 9 million. He was getting older he wanted to join A7x to lay back play huge arenas and make a shit ton of money - A7x net worth is legit 10x more lucrative than DT. But they even said they couldn’t afford him. If they didn’t pay him a lump sum for nightmare god only knows what he would of gotten on the backend. That album went #1 it was a great homage to jimmy but it was also a marketing giant for fans. Dt is huge in other countries, his fan base wanted to come watch him play w A7x. But he wouldn’t of stayed sober ( if he did) and they knew it would be a liability.

@@akatsukijonny Uproar 2010 had two stages? I was there for both 2010 and 2011, and I remember they had two stages in 2011, but not for 2010. Not that I don't believe you, I just don't believe myself for not remembering that. :P

Dave grohl is not even metao drummer and not only that he is not even Technical again why people love his drumming ... People will hate me for what i said but i dnt care i never find anything wow factor in his drumming i will understand if he Awarded overall musician or multi instrumentalist like vocal guitar and drum he is good at it but on individual instrument he never stand on guitar or playing drum... Why he is even inducted maybe he is popular thats why maybe but interm of skill and technicality dave is never a Legend drummer his drum part are every body who has 7 to 8 month exprience in playing drum can play
