What Samuel Jackson said at the end was something I've always wondered about when watching a sex scene in a movie - it must be so awkward to film.

+Bucboy1001 I can't remember who said it, but basically the sex scenes that are just ridiculously over the top, are apparently much easier to shoot. When they're going for realism it's difficult on any levels, some of which Jackson describes :)
+Bucboy1001 you know it can be awkward for the crew as well, I did my first job as a 2nd AC and we where shooting a sex scene on a couch in a tiny room. it was me, the 1st AC and DOP, directory and 1st AD plus the two actors going at it really loud. it's awkward as fuck to sit there being silent looking at your shoes while there are two naked people having rough loud "sex" 2 feet away from you. I think it was day 2 on the job or something.

My favorite part in this clip starts at 1:30 and ends at 1:55. My second favorite moment was when Samuel talks about actors asking the pertinent questions (been there, done that). My third favorite was when Samuel says "No, that's not it," and Keira retorts, "you promised you wouldn't tell anyone." Wonderful interview all around.

Is it me or The Graham Norton Show is much more entertaining that American talk shows? Well, maybe except for Ellen Degeneres Show.
that might not be a coincidence. both hosts are gay and have their own flamboyant style. In case of Graham, he only has a couple dozen shows a year so he can pile up his celeb guests and do the research beforehand. He is very thorough and plans each show very meticulously with a team of researchers who dig up interesting titbits about each celeb, making sure they don't ask the same predictable and lame questions everyone else does.
BTW, he lives a couple of blocks from my place but I've yet to meet him. Would be nice to say hello, he's a really likeable chap.
I was just thinking the same thing before scrolling down. American late night talk show seem so scripted. Plus he is just letting them go. Jimmy Kimmel and the rest seem to be trying to be funny all the time but it never comes across as a genuine conversation. (Howard Stern interviews are an exception, I think.)

Graham Norton is a legend. I have never seen any talk show that's better than his even in America. Even when he was on channel 4, he still had the best show. The only person in Britain that comes close is Alan Carr. Other than that, no one else. Jonathan Ross lost it soon as he went to ITV. Plus, he tends to make it more about him.
SLJ's comments were all so hilarious but also so on point haha, he's amazing.

1:09 - I genuinely laughed out loud! 1:30 through 1:54 - I still have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard, especially their mutual gestures at 1:50 that punctuated the whole moment.
That moment when Sam first says, "No, that's not it," and Keira just rolls with it...making up the perfect reply on the spot. Great actors can _improvise,_ and this was a Master Class.
I usually think of both actors in terms of their more serious, dramatic characters, so this is a great reminder that theater nerds are...almost universally...witty goofballs!
