Boat Yoga is a thing. You will need sail covers, and ideally a furler. If you don't have a furler, you will need a jib and storm jib if you do the hank on route. If you go blue water you will need to be able to have a double reefed main too. If you plan on solo sailing than some sort of lazy jack and stack pack for the mainsail is almost essential. On the electrics you will need 2 systems 1 for 12 volt and one for AC. 1 for breakers switches, etc. I recommend getting the bible for boats which is Nigel Caulder's Boatowners Mechanical and Electrical Manual, Chapman's or Annapolis book on Seamanship, and Don Casey's boat maintenance is also good. Worth getting for sure!
It has a roller furling, and the previous owner has a jib and mainsail plus a few other sails for me when I get the money together for them. As for electronics I have most of the things I'm going to need, I plan on using a breaker/ fusing + switches for everything including a main power breaker and an inverter setup. Next week I'll be going over what I have and what I still need to get, I'm doing electrical from the ground up. I was certified to install marine systems through Garman, Ray Marine, Hummingbird, and Minn Koda. mainly on boats for lakes
You haven’t yet mentioned it but please only use tinned marine wire. I’m currently rewiring my 30’ S&S, built 1979.
