This game was way better than I expected and I appreciate all the likes and support you dropped on each video. Last mission being 2 full hours was pretty wild haha
1:35:23 "I wish we could actually use one of those" No, you really don't. That's not a mech suit, that's a dreadnought, and what's _entombed_ inside are mangled remains of a critically wounded Space Marine. It's a giant life support unit he will never be able to leave. "Only in death does duty end".
Brad, that reveal was kinda important, but you would only get if you played the first game. Basically, in the first game, Leandros is part of Titu's squad, and he is a truly "by the book" soldier, all about serving the Imperium, questioning everyone's motives and following the Codex. Gadriel shows that trait in this second game, but maybe not as much as Leandros. In the first game, when Captain Titus (which Leandros looked up to) was able to resist The Warp (basically "Hell" in the W40K universe), Leandros saw that as something that only a corrupted soldier would be able to do, therefore, he accused Titus of being corrupted by the chaos/evil, which is why Titus was sent to the Deathwatch and demoted from Captain. The "Chaplain" is a really high position, basically at the same level as the Captain on that ship; from who we saw, only Lord Calgar would be above them in that ship. Leandros is just a really devoted soldier that kinda lost perspective of reality, not being able to see past the Codex's texts, everything must be by the book... I guess Leandros was perfect for the role of a Chaplain, and if you played the first game, you would, probably, be asking "Where is Leandros?" during this game, so the reveal was cool and made sense.
yup,Leandros was the one who reported to the Inquisition, and if you rewatch the ending scene of Space Marine,Inquisitor thrax didn't believe the accusation till leandros said he was corrupted by evil
I do wonder how the little shit Leandros managed to become a chapplain. He was a green ass rookie in the previous game- and he doesn't strike me as particularly "inspirational". Like, a Chaplains job in a space marine chapter is two part- they look after the mental and spiritual health of the space marines of his group, and secondly, to lead from the front and inspire the others. But Leandros is very much still the little shit clutching his blueberry boyscout manual. He never showed an aptitude for being inspirational, and he never should any trace of being particularly devout- beyond swearing by his daddies book anyway.

@@horaleleon5835 Okay so in the first game Ttius was accused of heresy by Leandros, and instead of bringing his suspension of heresy before the chapter chaplain he went straight to the Inquisition. In space marine chapters, the chaplain is responsible for the spiritual well-being of the chapter. Their job is also to root out corruption if there is any. So, Leandros being a chaplin he has even more reason to watch Titus and if even suspected any sign of heresy, then would he would have the power to get rid of him.
Calgar with the hardest intro in gaming. Just stands out in the middle of the open dropping into the center of the enemy army with his two Bulwarks and lays waste.
Just a tibit note, the chapllen at the end (skull helmet guy) was they guy who originally got you banished to the death watch (black armored guys) because he was the guy, who Titus mentioned as the brother who he didn't head in the 1st game, after which apparently he was appointed as a chapllen (big figure for the whole chapter in religious, etc affairs.) So, big reveal, this guy demoted you, got promoted, punished Titus, then gave his fing job back, just for the whole fing game him to hope you fail. I know it's a lot of lore, but I've been very happy watching someone be exposed to warhammer for the first time. Thank you so much for the years of content, and welcome to the warhammer fam.
Ahhhh that's good info. I actually knew very little about 40k as well, apart from the name and some games. But seeing Brad play this got me really into it. I love this universe now.
Another lore for Brad in space marine 1 is the Chaplin or sergeant back then Leandros screwed back then Captain Titus by reporting how Titus resisted the warp which resulted in Titus losing his rank position and being part of the Deathwatch. This Idiot loves the Codex but himself violated it by calling in the Inquisition instead of calling in the chapter Chaplin to investigate it Titus was corrupted by Chaos. Leandros would have been punished severely but due to the Inquisition getting involved the Chapter master did not act too harshly he punished Leandros by making him a Chaplin and drilling the whole Codex into his brain so that he would never make the same stupid mistake again. But the damage has been done and from my point of view, I think Leandros is pissed because once you become a Chaplin you can't progress through the rank and he might think he was wrongly judged by the chapter master and want to prove to Calger that Titus is corrupted by Chaos reason why he advises Calger to take Titus with them in this special mission.
I'm very appreciative of you ability to not comment during key moments during the story telling scenes. you let the story play without feeling the need to add anything to it. I really appreciate that. Thank you for another great video.

Been loving your Wukong walkthroughs! it's always a treat watching you play, I have had the chance to experience so many great games through you. you are just as much part of the experience as the game itself and it's never the same without you. thanks for uploading every single time!
I'm sure others have said this but id like to for posterity sake: The "Mech" you fight with and that kills the Helbrute and the Heldrake is not a robot. That is a walking casket/life support system with weapons. There is a Space Marine in there who was so greaviously wounded that suit is the only thing keeping him alive and fighting. The Helbrute is the same thing except the person inside is possessed by a Deamon. The Heldrake used to be an airplane. The pilot was corrupted by chaos and possessed like the Helbrute, and like the Helbrute fused into the Abomination you saw ingame.
I was never a Warhammer fan and this exposed me to that whole universe. My jaw dropped when especially during Lord Calgar's entrance and him defying the time spell. All I can say is, the Emperor protects.

Those who've played the first game will remember Leandros as the one who spoke about Titus' resistance to the Warp, which was believed to be a sign of corruption. This led to his arrest by the Inquisition and subsequent centuries-long penance as a member of the Deathwatch
So, why is Titus resistant towards the Warp? Is he corrupted, but sane enough to use it against them? Or it's just a special trait he has, presumably from a past experience or genetics?
@@soep19 Technically there are a few that are naturally resistant to the warp, but because they are few in number, most of those "resistant" are actually serving Chaos so the Inquisition tends to lean towards "shoot them all, just in case". Titus is lucky he is a Space Marine and so got "punishment". If he was a normal human guardsman, they would have executed him. Many Imperial Guards regiments and worlds are killed off like this to stop the corruption. Those Cadians you see still fighting in the game? Chances are high that after the campaign, they'd be purged.
