Yep people always asked me and i always said avoid them the guy looked 100% like a scammer. Plus any firm run by 20 yes old is going to be Ponzi scheme it’s obvious. Constant promotions is a massive warning sign too

Quite surprised to see the news this morning but also not since they've had so much churn and promos lately, it felt like they were treading water and grabbing a hold of anything to stay afloat. I think they'll try (or at least the owner and some others) to come back but maybe under another name. Probably will be that his name will be toxic to many so it will take a long time to build up trust again. I could see them going the Futures route, maybe dropping the gimmicky medieval theme and party bros atmosphere. It's crazy times and I hope the prop industry doesn't disappear completely. Needs some transparency from all sides.
Recently got into the Prop Firm industry and i must say i feel like personal funds might be the way to go soon.

You're clearly a bright fellow Mr. Cheung, which surprises me you were ever mixed up with these clowns. I remember looking at their website, contemplating signing up for a challenge but changed my mind because I was turned off by the gamified look of their website. The entire retail demo prop trading space is one giant casino. If one is working with a company that isn't providing you real capital, upon passing their evaluation, you're not working with a prop firm

Omar Paladin and Riz did it because it was what was 'right' for them. The inexperience of running a business really caught up with them.

Yeah same I decided to not go with any other American prop firm in the future. I used to buy challenges from FTMO and currently I'm at fundednext both are located outside the us and I never had a single problem with them.. the next I'd go to is the 5%ers.
Crazy world when you want to stay away from American companies. It used to be the opposite and you were safest with anything USA owned

CFD what I use to call contracts for destruction 😅
I've traded with Apex and some other futures firms...the trailing drawdown rule is horrible in imo is the main reason why I avoid futures prop firms
The case against MFF showed US authorities are looking at all these funding firms and, while Metaquotes / CFDs were targeted first, the similar model employed by firms offering futures challenges will come under scrutiny eventually. For successful traders like Dan these firms are a useful tool to print money. However, the stats across the industry suggest 95-98% of challenges are failed and in the view of the CTFC the public need to be protected from these firms. Your example of Apex and their trailing drawdown rule is the kind of onerous condition authorities would use in a court of law to justify banning these firms.
I wasn't implying at all that futures prop firms should be banned. The fact that 95% of traders fail isn't a bad thing. That's just the nature of ANY high paying occupation. It shouldn't be easy. I'm just saying that its a rule that makes forex prop firms easier to pass in my opinion. Suing prop firms because of a high failure rate is ludicrous. That's like saying that the NBA should be sued because most basketball players can't make it. @Peter_Potato
With Apex you have to adjust your strategy. It’s a scalpers game, truly. For example with NQ aim for 4-5 points per trade and that’s it get out. Rinse and repeat
Wow 5 points is a really small TP with NQ. What kind of stop are you using? Most people need a 20-25 point stop or else you'll get shaken out too easily. @user-wb8vu6uy9h

I have a thought haven't seen anyone mention it. I think they always ran on knife edge with money coming in and going out. That's the biggest reason they took so long to pay people. Then when the Metatrader ban hit they had less incoming as less people bought challenges.
The delay started when the migration started the whole DXTRADE migration... before that the support was fast
it was shit before migration for me
DXTRADE migration was brutal! The downtime then was just unnerving.
People were getting denied months before the migration. Took me over a week to get 2k out of them around January and it went downhill from there
Said the same thing about e8 just let them fix the technical issues
Time will tell
and how can we believe in prop campaigns after these events? You buy an account and go through the test and don’t know whether they will pay or not.🤔🤔🤔🤔
I just got into de prop firms industry, dont have much experience but Im currently using TTT and it feels like a reliable one, they make the payouts on time or so it seems

Don't hope, they ARE SCAMMERS. They falsely breached a lot of people with ''forbidden strategies'' but when asked what the strategie is when non is used they can't explain. Enough other props that are legit luckely.

I have a 50k funded account with them and a 200k challenge and i believe its as good as lost.. something just doesnt sit right with him for me. He hasnt updated anybody of the situation, like hes just disappeared .

What is the main cause of shutting down,is it
1) regulation
2) lack of funds to payout
There's no structure that's all. Don't trust new firms trust firms that has years in the game 5ers ftmo

TFT refused to pay me $78k profit split in 2022 January. They also did not pay top payouts in the Leadership board, what Angelo did was, set the ranking by Percentage %% so that you wont see bigger players payouts. I saw everything behind Angelo DOGGY guy.

They’re gone! Looking like this could really be the end of TFT I was 9% up on a 50K funded, positions froze and no chance of a payout or refund from the challenge 😩

The problem with the Prop space is that they're all using each other's downfall for their own personal benefit. You'll now see CEOs of other prop firms being aggressive in their marketing in other to attract clients that would've left TFT, I saw the CEO of funded engineer saying this today, that basically when they were down even the people that they used to help, people they thought were friends turned their backs on them, it's business I understand, but it's not helping the prop space, they should really be working with each other and finding ways to make the space more sustainable for everyone, but instead some new firm with pop up, trash TFT, talk about how they're different etc etc, then a few months later go down after filling up their pockets.

Its definitely a scam, had a 25k account that i was compounding at .5 percent risk. (I was playing the long game) they made up some bs and closed my account
Yea never play the long term game with firms as in compounding. That's why a lot of traders including my self take all the profit out. Some of the profits should be put your own account for compounding or if you don't need the money put all of it in

And yamarkets broker, and they also starts firm business too, name is yatrader
to be honest, i doubt they ll come back , maybe under different jurisdiction with another logo(firm) but even then people that will be signing with them are just asking for it imo. 2 many payouts denied without a valid reason, crappy emails..plus i think they re beeing investigated..hopefully u ll get ur payout or atleast use chargeback..but looks grim. cheers

So now I have lost my money to TFT, and have no money left, TFT is the first prop firm challenge I brought and in next few days this all happened couldn't even place one trade, I have a request can someone buy me the the5ers bootcamp, I do have the skill and mindset to pass this challenge but not enough money to buy the challenge. The industry is mos def going through some trying times. For me, regulated is the way to go. I'm losing faith in unregulated brokers. Everyone is running to the futures side very fast. Praying for everyone who is currently trading. I'm just happy to have been able to keep my integrity and continue to help people who are seeking to learn the good things that come with this industry while avoiding the negative as best as possible. 🙏🏿

This must be good news for people who are new to trading and think twice before you go with a prop firm, now you have to choose a challenge which don't bring alot of risk
so if you can choose a 10k challenge and lets say the prop firm goes down you only risk losing $100 to pay for the challenge, compared to if you buy a $300-500 for a challenge.
I am perplexed by the naivety of your question and the naivety of all those who might think that this is an isolated case and that the rest of the industry are professionals. Well, let me tell you, the whole industry is a bunch of corrupt scammers who offer no real accounts and therefore their only profit is made through failed tests. And there is only one thing more delusional than believing that there is any serious propfirm you can trust, and that is believing that any of you can become a fully profitable trader on a consistent basis just because you have won a challenge through gambling and sheer luck.
