my phone is getting quite hot, so i think winter: windshiels mount, hot summer: air vent mount. for me it is important my eyes to be on the road as much as possible. also to mention. with the left mounted windshield phone you may miss pedestrian crossing from left to right, so watch carefully :)
The vent app i have overheated In winter my iPhone and it shut off while I was trying to navigate out in a wooded area and ended up lost for awhile until the phone cooled off of
Thank you iamb going to take a long cross-country trip and I hate when the vet ones fly off because the phones too heavy or something so this one seems like it would hold up pretty good. I might try it. Thanks for the info.
I've been using a scosche wireless charging windshield mount for my Samsung S21 Ultra and it works ok for most part but heats up too fast on 80+ degree weather here in columbus ohio and i just bought a vent mount to hopefully fix that issue for now. because my phone will either stop charging or downcharge while mounted in the hot windshield while plugged in to charge.
problem with window mount is now you cant use a windshield cover for the sun, i have a perfect windshield cover for the sun and this shit would block it

I used to have my phone mounted right above my stereo with that same window mount. Was good but I had to buy a dash cam later and my windshield became too crowded

One of which I forgot to take out of the old car I traded in but the one before broke. Definitely okay mounts, but I would say overrated to say the least. My brother seems to enjoy them a lot since he was the one who keeps buying them for me but I don't like the positioning very much since it makes the phone cover the entire vent and I need AC in Florida.
I got my phone mount at the Dollar Tree. It’s a air vent mount and I haven’t had any issues. I was expecting it to be a piece of crap since it was only a dollar but it works great.

vent application is for hot weather, offering an added benefit of cooling down the phone

Cold air is also really bad for your battery
Cd changer mount is the best in my opinion doesn’t block important stuff like your windshield lol
