Pax Dei, has a stock UE5 world, Stock unedited mob assets from the UE5 shop, and major holes in the crafting system. What I see when looking at what the dev blogs say the game has to offer in its current state and why they delayed the Wilderness Alpha all I see is a very fleshed out scam. None of why the wilderness Alpha was delayed exists at all period. the fact that the cash shop now has extra character slots lets you know their next step and that is to limit professions to two per character. I've been through this enough times with other games that I'm really worried about this one. I played alpha 2, and I liked it in theory, but I was absolutely stunned to hear they were going ahead with early access. I decided to pass for now, because for a game so focused on the social aspect they're putting up a lot of walls. The game is already only going to appeal to a small niche, and they've instantly made it even smaller just by completely setting aside development of combat, movement, and even most social and economic features, in favor of releasing only a building sandbox with a rough crafting system. Early access is a reviewable product according to steam, so that's an impression you might not be able to unmake. People can argue early access semantics all day long, but I think the reality is that if you want a good early access release then it needs to be in a state that clearly represents your vision and for me, Pax Dei doesn't even come close. I'm also not at all convinced that requiring a subscription is going to work out well. That will push away another group of their already small target audience. I'm afraid that they won't be able to sustain the player numbers required to provide any content, leading to even fewer players over the short term and an early death. A box price with an OPTIONAL subscription for additional plots plus whatever else might result in a large enough player base, while still getting the subs from people who are serious enough to really stick with this game anyway. It's too late now, but I think if they needed funding then an actual crowdfunding campaign with alpha access would have been more appropriate. If they DIDN'T need funding, then a continuous closed alpha would have been good. I still want this game and I'll follow the development... I'm waiting for them to have concrete monetization plans, rework combat, and add basic economy features. Hopefully they can pull a win out of this, but I'm not confident at this point.

Wish the player housing building system was in a different game, this game isn't going anywhere. It's just impossible, devs are making too many mistakes. Its beautiful, i bought it but already but uninstalled. Not hating on anyone playing or liking it. It just is what it is.
Huge guilds are already walling and gating off resource nodes and the few dungeons they have, with this sort of game loop, this game will die unfortunately
It's never going to be worth playing with a subscription model. Neither is it worth it with the limited building mechanics. Most people who like building and sandbox games, like to play them solo. People also don't want to be forced to have other people just to be able to build in more than 1 spot. Limiting the amount of build spots is one of, if not the absolute dumbest thing I've ever seen in any game.
It's a niche within a niche, but if it can grab a community and hold on to them, then I think everyone wins. I want to support the effort and see what shakes out.
I've put about 10 hours in so far and I've felt like the game has fought me every single step of the way. I'm so disappointed because I was really hyped, but this just ain't it. There's potential there, but it's buried under about 380 tons of steaming horse shit.
I have to completely disagree with you on Social Media being the killer of sandbox MMOs. It's definitely not that, and I would even say it isn't even a small percentage of why Sandbox MMOs aren't as popular. It's because developers nowadays suck ass at making video games especially when it comes to MMOs. People didn't play vanilla WoW back in the day or Classic WoW now because they need to fill their social bar, I think that's such an absurd and silly claim that I gotta stop the video here and find a different review. I guarantee if Star Wars Galaxies was updated to modern day, it would be one of the biggest contenders of WoW in the MMO scene ever.
I already dislike it, when the first thing I see is animals react to you shooting an arrow by turning away at the exact moment you shoot..... It's such bullshit.

EQ3 isn't officially announced, but it also kinda is... they have about a 40 milliong budget for it, they are hiring, they are still kinda deciding exactly what kind of game they want it to be... 2028 is optimistic in best case scenario. (This is direct from Daybreak Games as of a few ago) EQ2 just had a fresh Origins Launch Yesterday - it's fresh launched based on a 2006 version of the game, no expansions. It's super popular for the limited reach it has... I think this version would blow up if the word got out. Here on day 2, the guild I'm in has 123 Members (not including alts) 46 online currently, and the highest level player on the server as far as I know is only 21 atm. On launch there were 51 separate instances of the starting zone.

what about performance`? am i able to play it with maybe 60 fps with my gpu: nvidia 2070 super /cpu: intel i7-9700, 32gb ram? anyone could tell me?^^
I do not know, but if your graphics card supports DLSS then perhaps.
Grind does not a game make.
English?
There are whole genres of games that proves that wrong. It's ok if you don't enjoy it, but it doesn't mean it's bad.
well no one can accuse this guy of using 3rd party aim assist programs
going to skip this game since i don't like games that has a monthly subscription (starting when it leaves EA).
Completely fair, I think it will be interesting to see how the game progresses
It like an Alpha release. Would say give it a year. Then mybe. Also monetization is horrible.
Wow the video was great till that message of hope, just amazing im not depressed or anything but that made me feel good inside/emotional haha and I really think anyone would feel good hearing that.
That’s good to hear. And it’s something that I feel is important for people to have in their feed if they chose to hang out after the gaming news
this has to be sponsored
Pax Dei Is It Worth It?
no
Wanna save 11 minutes of your life?
No, totally not worth it
I have to completely disagree with you on Social Media being the killer of sandbox MMOs.
I admire your faith but you completely missed my point and your comment miss represents my points but good luck to you.
LOL, $40 for this shit? No thanks.
40$ is just the base… you need to drop 100$ unless you want it to be 10x more grinding.. oh and paid subscription is next
Not for me. I need to have meaningfull pve.
I already dislike it, when the first thing I see is animals react to you shooting an arrow by turning away at the exact moment you shoot..... It's such bullshit.
game is not worth playing, the game is 80-90 % farming even with clans, the graphics doesnt match the store page, the game is not fun when dreading logging on and farming mats for no rewards.
again buy a car and get your other 3 seats and 4th wheel later after you pay again for it and then hope it drives ok 😂😂😂yea 2024!
Is this really a review? Sorryy i didn't find it helpful. Sigh. Need my time back i wasted
Thanks for the support, sorry you feel your time is waisted.
should have been $ 20 for everything
Just need EQ3
EQ3 isn't officially announced, but it also kinda is... they have about a 40 milliong budget for it, they are hiring, they are still kinda deciding exactly what kind of game they want it to be... 2028 is optimistic in best case scenario. (This is direct from Daybreak Games as of a few ago)
EQ2 just had a fresh Origins Launch Yesterday - it's fresh launched based on a 2006 version of the game, no expansions.
They better name it something different and push the genre forward. I have no want to go play EverQuest and want something of a modern sandbox.
Refunded. It's not Early Access, it's crass crowdfunding, nothing else.
Nope.
This seems like paying to beta test...
It is.
It's a pvp focused game, going to be nightmare for pve players, I would not recommend it if pve is your focused playstyle.
It's pve with a few pvp zones. What are you on about
Totally wrong. Wish YT stop leading videos with rubbish comments
Troll
@@InYourFace2day Look at what happened to NW skills and gear stats got nerfed and ruined pve, loot is much worse in pve because of pvp, pvp community think they're more superior then pve community and don't deserve to be equal, Those few pvp zones are going to hold best and most resources which is means less resources for pve.
With pvp in control this game will loose players very fast.
@@woundedsqrl Yeh you’re right totally a mostly pvp game which is why it’s an enormous crafting building sim with a few little pvp areas…
Watch me As I play for the next 10 years and avoid pvp altogether as the plaster dries on my hand crafted walls built from the blood sweat and angry YT fanboy tears xx
Worst hunter ever.
Your never really objective mate
I'm sure some people out there believe that to be true.
