I love Barry's stage presence, so into it, unlike other vocalists I've seen. I seen Joyce Manor twice and they were the best two shows I've ever been to.
Lol I noticed the same thing! Also when they played chumped and no one really knew the lyrics it bummed me the fuck out. How did no one know that song????
literally some of the nicest guys ive ever met , barry only has to say all that bc for someone reason we love to get rowdy to their music but thats just how you know its good
I’ll never forget seeing Joyce Manor live. One of my first concerts, general admission. I remember seeing one guy looking at me weird for knowing the lyrics, fuck him. It was a great time, and the first time they performed “Million Dollars to Kill Me”
they have such a killer sound, especially on constant headache and beach community. knowing these guys i feel like they just plug-in and play too, no switchboards and shit
Maybe it's because I just took a kick to the ear the other night from a crowd surfer, but I agree. I like being close to the stage and half the time I have to look out for crowd surfers. I get it, that's how it's always been done. But have you ever noticed it's always the same two or three people crowd surfing and trying to stage dive? I'd say the majority of the people just want to mosh and jump around. Also, they must be tired of people knocking over the mics and what not.
Not so much at this show, but they speed up their songs a lot for live shows, which is fun but a reason they lose energy and are forced to do short sets. I understand but it's disappointing when some of the openers are longer than Joyce's set. Hoping for a Pittsburgh stop soon!
Redda he gave away his drum sticks to someone in the crowd at the end of a show and i guess Barry got upset because he bought Kurt those sticks for his birthday. Feelings were hurt, bad things were said, it was just a huge mess. Luckily Jeff, Barry's neighbor, agreed to take over and yeah. I love Joyce!
man i love this bands music but their whole "don't stagedive, don't mosh, don't do anything that could potentially hurt someone" shit is so lame. you're a punk band. you've toured with so many aggressive bands. don't tell other people how to enjoy the music.
+Matt Squires sorry but it ruins any show i've been to. hard to watch the band when someone's shitty vans are in your face, or when someone jumps on you. moshing can be alright but stagediving is the dumbest
+say12thebear Is it really worth it if someone breaks their neck because of stage-diving? Is being there and singing along not enough "having fun"? I just don't get it. Also why would you stage-dive to a pop-punk band lol
say12thebear I like Joyce Manor, but a lot of these pop-punk bands are way heavier on the pop than the punk and hardcore. I associate stage-diving with punk and hardcore, so when you take a really poppy band lacking those elements...yeah, seems like a weird band to stage-dive to.
"Hey guys, don't hurt people" bassist immediately gets hit in the face with a mic.
I love how the whole crowd sang Beach Community, that was tight.
Taylor Barnett they did huh
31:51 That epic moment when Barry stops singing his part and you realize how awesome Matt's voice is.
probably the best live show recorded on youtube.. i feel like I'm at this show haha
Nate Blackton no there's actually a very good Bee Gees concert up on here if you search real well.
love how the crowds sing along when they sing constant headcahe
ahmad nashrudin I find it cool, good observation!
The fact that beach community is almost entirely sung by the crowd still gives me chills 6 years later. Incredible.
10 years and still top tier vid
if i remember correctly, this was the show that was 150+ people over capacity, and that there were people getting properly crushed up front
I love Barry's stage presence, so into it, unlike other vocalists I've seen. I seen Joyce Manor twice and they were the best two shows I've ever been to.
daviddzialo no, member the Avril Lavigne show?
I saw them live a week ago and still have bruises from the stage. I feel the people at the front's pain.
the girl at 24:22 in the back with the croptop on is just saying random words lol. None of them are the lyrics.
Lol I noticed the same thing! Also when they played chumped and no one really knew the lyrics it bummed me the fuck out. How did no one know that song????
+Thomas Kessler hahahahaha holy shit
hahahahahahaha straight up, and I'm equally disappointed that no one knew chumped
>listens to Constant Headache once
Shes feeling it lmao!
Come To Brazil!
pode pa doido
Romulo Ferreira Ha, ha! Well memed, my friend!
bass player gets hit with the mic at 00:46
Hurts my heart to see
Great set, but really wish they would have played christmas card.
Same
I don't know why there's so much shade being thrown around in the comments, this looks like such a fun show!
I'm not a huge fan of this type of pop-punk music, but after watching this I'd totally see these guys live. Looks like a great time, haha.
I’ve watched this set probably 100 times now and it still brings me so much joy every time. one of my favorite bands ever.
They should've released Bride of Usher like that! Great video, amazing band
looks like it's gonna be on their upcoming split with toys that kill!
COME TO SWEDEN FOR GODS SAKE, I WILL NOT DIE WITHOUT SEEING THESE GUYS LIVE
they are finally coming to Brazil this year lol, I cant wait
this band is so good
this version of bride of usher is my favorite
sick peavey t60. modest and humble yet so dope
chicago crowd would have killed this kind of set so much more. it feels good to have every single person in the room going insane for joyce manor.
I agree Chicago shows are wild
Props to the dude tryna hold up the mic stand 😂
Yooo!!! I've loved this video for years.. Is that Andy from worst party ever in the crowd during housewarming party????!!!! WHAAATTT
This show was so fuckin sick R.I.P. Epic Problem
Did anyone else notice the mic to the face at 0:48? Great fucking concert/filming btw.
+Mattheus Muros I did lol
literally some of the nicest guys ive ever met , barry only has to say all that bc for someone reason we love to get rowdy to their music but thats just how you know its good
I’ll never forget seeing Joyce Manor live. One of my first concerts, general admission. I remember seeing one guy looking at me weird for knowing the lyrics, fuck him. It was a great time, and the first time they performed “Million Dollars to Kill Me”
was it hectic
I was at this show. It was sick.
I miss this venue
they have such a killer sound, especially on constant headache and beach community. knowing these guys i feel like they just plug-in and play too, no switchboards and shit
Soo dope!!
"You guys fucked this mic stand up"
"It's coming out of your guarantee"
Lol

Please don’t go crazy and hurt someone.... 15 seconds later the bass player takes a mic to the face..
Should I go see them live In Pomona that's really close to where I live only 25 min away June 3 Any thoughts?

"Please take care of one another and don't stagedive or crowdsurf"
"Sir, this is an Arby's."
They played Bride of Usher?!?! WTF? That's one of my all time favorite songs and they never play it when I see them! Fucking jealous!
What's up with the drummer, I'm drumming along to constant nothing it is nothing like the original lol
I think I saw a video of Old Gray here.
Not so much at this show, but they speed up their songs a lot for live shows, which is fun but a reason they lose energy and are forced to do short sets. I understand but it's disappointing when some of the openers are longer than Joyce's set. Hoping for a Pittsburgh stop soon!
he sang less than half of catalina fight song
I think the reason they said this is because the venue probably doesn't allow it.
I have that same Drive Like Jehu shirt
y kurt walcher departed with joyce manor?
I respect them as musicians but you seriously can't expect to say "don't get rowdy" at a punk rock concert and expect the kids to listen
Left For Dead is a fine band!
00:45
what type of guitar is barry playing
peavey t60
I miss kurt. Not knocking the new drummer. He was just a really cool guy
@@drivethrufilmzz are you fucking kidding me
who’s watching this in 2020 during covid, sad as fuck bc live shows don’t exist? 👁💧👄💧👁

guitar model? peavey?
t15
T 60
Who are the 6 fuccbois that's gave this video a thumbs down?
The singer kinda reminds me of Brian Singer
Dude with the beard reminds me of Will Wheaton
hes wearing a Code Orange Kids shrt so hes a cooler Will Wheaton
BRIDE OF USHER SOUNDS DIFFERENT.
This is their live version, it's on their new split with Toys That Kill.
Tag yourself, I’m the tumblrcore girls on the side.
Idk I would be pissed if people started bumping into me and holding the mics if I played a show
But you don't so shut the fuck uo
They should really play longer sets, I'd feel cheated if I paid to see a 30-minute set, no matter what I paid. It's just way too short.
"Please don't"
*Commence don't
JOYCE MANOR BORDEL DE MERDE !

+Jacob Dunn I actually enjoy having crazy shows with a lot of crowd surfing/stage diving, it adds to the energy.
+say12thebear Is it really worth it if someone breaks their neck because of stage-diving? Is being there and singing along not enough "having fun"? I just don't get it. Also why would you stage-dive to a pop-punk band lol
"why would you stage-dive to a pop-punk band"
Jesus Christ you can't be serious

Damn, is the bassist on HRT or something?
The bass player seems so mad like the whole time :p
he got hit in the face with his mike during the first song...that can set the mood for a whole show
Thomas Donofrio mic
Thomas Donofrio
hahahaha that was priceless... getting hurt while ''you're having fun''
I guess no one can stagedive if everyone just completely ignores the fact that the stage is a thing...
Gaawwwwwwwwd I hate people with their cellphones, stop filming and participate!!!!!!!!!
