West Hemet Vs East Hemet

Hemet is known for its West side and East side. Each have their respective pros and cons. But no worries, it's not like the movie, there is no divide or living on the "wrong side of the tracks". Everyone gets along no matter side of the city you live in. Stick around and find out the differences of each side.

Are there still street walkers up and down Floridia? Is the Carriage Inn still around, how about the Diamond Inn across from Dennys and next to the park. Is Hemet still the trailor park capitol of the US? Thats what i remeber about Hemet, Ca. Lots of drugs, folks living out of the motels/inns riding on bikes day and night.

The two motels you mentioned are still there but under different names. The trailer parks are still around too. We still get lots of snowbirds who enjoy our warmer winters.

I've lived in Hemet for 20 years now. I live in West Hemet but I think East Hemet is a better place to live. Hemet is no longer a small town. Almost as much traffic as some Orange County cities.

Hi Melinda, Thank you for your comment. There are some really beautiful homes on the East end of Hemet. However, it does add 15-20 minutes to get across town. I also agree Orange county traffic is busy, busy!

Have lived in Hemet 22yrs. Changes in Hemet have happened more homelessness, more crime , wouldn't recommend families with small children to move here .
