Thank you so much! We just had a plumber here today to install a new cartridge in the shower because it was leaking. Before he left, I checked that the leak was gone and said "A-OK!". Then I took a shower a little while ago and there was little-to-no hot water. I didn't even know about the scald setting, but I followed your directions and fixed the problem. I had called the plumber but still haven't heard back. Thanks again. Much appreciated!
Thank you so much!! Had my shower replaced and ended up taking a luke warm (at best) shower... I can not live without scalding hot showers! Exactly what I needed to adjust! LIFE SAVER!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just moved into a new apartment that was completely remodeled and the shower just wasn't getting as hot as the other faucets and I noticed that the handle seemed to not to be going far enough.I do give myself credit for figuring out that it was something to do with the handle and so then to RUclips to see if that was even a possibility. And look what I found! I followed your instructions and it worked!
Most of the time, you don't need to fully remove the set screw to remove the handle. Loosen it enough just to allow removal of handle, and you should be good. Covering the drain, though, is always a good idea, because you never know what you might accidentally drop.
That's probably my problem because my shower is not getting hot but I noticed in the sump under the bathtub it gets full of warm water and it floods the hallway 🤷🤦
I NEVER comment on videos but THANK YOU. As a female, I was able to do this process in less than 5 minutes. Fixed my problem!
Glad I could help
..what does being a female have to do with it?
@talmonglidden3416 I totally agree!! There was absolutely no point of adding that in there... congratulations your a woman🎉🎉

Thank you so much. I was taking cold showers for the past 6 months 😂

Oh my lord, thank you so much!
The screw inside broke in half, so now I do not know how to get the other half out to get the handle out now. Any idea?
Thank you!!

Tha k you so much for this
Bummer no screw on my handle to undo it.
What if there isn’t an Allen wrench screw?
Thank u
very clear idea how to regulate hot water. Thank you !
Thanks for watching.
What if there is no screw on the handle?
My question too
I couldn’t get it out :( it’s hard or stuck or something :(
Wait, so did you put the little screw back into the valve, or did you put it back on without the screw? I’m a woman…..sorry if this is a dumb question
I put the set screw back in. Thanks for the question.
That looks great, but it seems like all the hot water from shower to sinks is not going on
Cant for the fix. Commented for the magic trick. 😂

what is the acceptable range of temperature for the shower water?
My understanding is the water temperature should be between 130-140 F. It's best to check the owner's manual for your water tank. Thanks for watching.
Plumber came over he charge me $1400 to change a tempering valve, can someone tell me is this normal price or ???🥲
