I'm so excited I've only been waiting since 2022 but it feels like a lifetime. This will change Guam in a very positive way, Guam has lacked competition forever. It will force people to improve their stores or lose to Don Don.

Have you noticed that the major retailers in Guam are responding to Donki? Kmart is having actual commercials. They also fixed up their cart returns and lowered down their spam to be cheaper than Donki’s. Payless has sent out emails to customers to take a survey to win $100 if they answer a few questions about their displays and marketing fixtures in their stores if people find them appealing or not. Micronesia mall also closes at 9pm now and they turned on their led building lights.I just find it amusing that a huge company like Donki would cause these other retailers shaking in their boots. It’s their fault really. Kmart refusing to modernize and update their store. Pay more and cost u more actually increasing their prices. The Mall not really offering anything new only enticing people to shop there with these car contests.
Donki is bringing something fresh and new to the island. It will attract tourists, catapulting the hospitality industry too. All the traffic haters and naysayers can just wallow at home. Even GovGuam gave them such a hard time with their liquor license.
Welcome to Guam Donki! Thank you for rattling the cages here. It can only get better from here.
Being far & remote area its not worth to open a business. But Kmart has been successful on Guam being stateside, yet on mainland has closed down a lot, will see if she’ll survive with Donki here now …
@@mersase1 i think its all a matter of time.. but donki is big in japan for long as kmart is.. tbh i dont think theyll have a problem...but the local stores that have been overpricing stuff might have a problem

That place is HUGE, I imagine my cart being as full as that lovely lady…we so need one here in desert land. Looking at the grocery prices and honestly, it’s pretty comparable to the states. You’re all so lucky! Thanks for the tour Mark!

Good informative live stream Mark. Its too bad you don't want to do a video of the Grand Opening just to show how many people shows up will be chaotic but also entertaining video to watch. Thanks again for your videos of Guam Life. Donki Village Guam is probably the largest Don Quijote store in the world even bigger than the biggest store in Japan.
Mega donki in shibuya is pretty rad!! And you mighy be right about biggest!! But i know in japan they build upwards!! On guam they build wider ahaha
Also if i went to the grand opening i feel id be feeling congested and have some anxiety ahaha

Sorry, I had to delete my previous comments. I don't know why the heart disappears when you edit comments. But anyways, I'm happy Donki is on Guam. I'd think this is the biggest Donki store ever in the western Pacific region by far, much bigger than Hawaii's.

We don't have stuff like this in the mainland except for Daiso which are only open in Hawaii, LA, SF and NYC iirc. And this puts Walmart to shame imo. I mean you have pretty much everything in one building where you have local, american, and Japanese products to choose from. It's unreal how you can get actual Japanese wagyu beef as well as fresh ramen served to you in the food court
Kudos to Donki for opening shop on the island. The next time I visit home, that's the first place ill shop. And I believe it's near, on the road down from the airport, at the corner of Marine Dr, which is convenient.

I’m from Hawaii, I always thought the Don Quijote here was a good mix of American and Japan goods. But the one in Guam is like a Mega Don Ki in Japan. I’m surprised that some of the American goods are cheaper there like the Crystal Geyser water being $1.50. Here it’s $2.50. Overall though the Japanese products there are way cheaper than here because it might come straight from Japan. Thanks for the stream

Wasn't all that impressed with some of the food prices. Hopefully, competition will heat up and we will see price wars! I posted a video yesterday and had to take it down from the Donki jingle constantly playing (I received copyright warnings). Remastering the video now.
Yeah the american brand not really but big differences in some japanese products sold here on guam and 👋 i also saw kmart matching donki on the spam prices ahaha 🤣 and yes randy i really hope price wars happen and its cheaper!!! And better deals!!!
