- I bought this Kolhapuri Masala cooking sauce to review ! So what was it like ?
In my opinion this is another winner from Kohinoor - the sauce is delicious and packed with those wonderful Indian spices - it says it is a three chilli rating but personally I think this is more a two chilli rating - there is heat for sure but this is not as hot as a Madras - on saying that this is a really good sauce and well worth trying - I can recommend it and I will buy it again - excellent flavours and the Kohinoor range have some sauces that I have never heard of and they are well worth experimenting with if you like Indian Foods - 10 out of 10 for taste, price and quality
Dear mr Jenkinson you have given me such a wonderful surprise I have been very poorly today I had to go into hospital for an emergency blood transfusion THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE BLOOD DONORS OUT THERE 😘😘😘😘.I got home an hour ago straight to bed with my hot chocolate and tuned into your channel and to get a mention welll !!!!! I AM a hard ass I’m old school even though I’m only 28 but you made me shed a tear.To think you actually thought about me enough to mention me in your video put a lump in my throat the size of a brick.(and it’s still there) I’m VERY upset to learn that you also suffer with constant pain 😭arthritis is a bast-d I hope that it’s not in your knees 😭.Thank you so very very much for thinking about me sir God Bless you and keep you safe much love Donna xx
Good Morning Donna, thank you for the comment - I am glad giving you a mention meant so much to you - please call me Graham - Sorry to hear that you needed an emergency blood transfusion and as you rightly say thank goodness for the Blood ?donors ! My Arthritis is in my hips ,knees and one hand ! my arthritis is called Psoriatic Arthritis and is a form of Rheumatoid arthritis - thankfully the Rheumatology department look after me well and I do consider myself lucky that I am still able to walk around and thanks to the medication it does not restrict me too much until it decides to have a flare up ! since you told me of your situation I was thinking just how brave you are in the face of what is going on ! I truly hope that God blesses you and gives you a wonderful Monday filled with love and laughter ! :-) best wishes always - Graham xx
Good morning Graham, well this will be no good for me as i had the Kohinoor egg curry yesterday, that was only a one 🌶 rating & it burnt my mouth out! 😂 My tongue was on fire, it got the back of my throat & made my nose run. The taste was nice, but the heat was too much so i know i won't be able to handle this one, lovely review though 👍
Good Morning Kate, thank you for the comment - I am glad you enjoyed the taste of the curry unfortunately it was too hot for you - this one would be too hot for sure but again this had such a different taste to the usual curries that are around ! at least you gave the egg curry a go that is the main thing ! nothing ventured nothing gained as they say ! Wishing You a Lovely Sunday :-)
@grahamjenkinson3487 😄👍 i bought 2 different jars of curry sauce to mix, i have a tin of veg curry, some (what i think is) bombay potatoes from Farmfoods & some left over mushrooms & eggs...so i will be making another curry 😆
Hi Kate, thank you for the reply , it is good to experiment with curries and what you put in them ! variety is the spice of life they say - I always find that home made ideas always in general work out very well indeed ! Wishing You a lovely afternoon :-)
Hi G&A... Good to see you looking much better, G.... Love to A..... - D&A xxx
Good Morning D+A , thank you for the comment - we are both feeling much better now thank goodness ! hopefully the virus is now on its way out ! I hope you are both well and enjoying life ! Love N Hugz G+A XX :-)
@@grahamjenkinson3487 Thank goodness....Very good to hear!🙏☺
I bought the Chickpea version at Farmfoods yesterday alongside some Frys Turkish Delight and some Lemon Puffs. Happy days. Greetings from a rather dreary and damp Holyhead.
Good Morning Tudor , thank you for the comment - I hope you enjoy the chickpea curry ! Turkish delight is a favourite of mine and the Lemon Puffs are just excellent - Greetings from a sunny but cold shire ! have a great day on the Island :-)
Yet again Graham another great find from farmfoods I really need to visit there to have a look at these sauces. And as you mentioned the addition of mushrooms, potatoes, cauliflower and spinach make for an excellent meat free day meal and your thumb nail really had my taste buds tingling, and if you let the potatoes thicken the sauce it could double as a side like sagg aloo or aloo gobhi 👍👍🌶
Good Morning Robert, thank you for the comment - I have been very impressed with the range of Kohinoor sauces in Farmfoods and the price is really good as in other supermarkets they average £1.65p - This one had a decent heat and a really good flavour ! happy days ! I see you team just managed a win yesterday ! lol - have a great Sunday :-)
@@grahamjenkinson3487 yes Graham they just about crept through. I have had trouble replying to your reviews for most of January, they just vanish straight away ?? And I promise they were not offensive the same replying to Kate, so I un subscribed to your channel then re subscribed and have finally got it to stay, don't know if it's your ghost in the machine ?? Or YT ??
@@robertlindop9365 Hi Robert, i have this happen from time to time, not just on Graham's channel though 👻
@kate6038 same here ?? I think it's the YT police 🚔 🤔 ?? They don't want us to be humans 😪 just numbers
My reply to you Kate just vanished ???
Hi graham. Hope u r k. I've never tried these before. Seem a bit of a bargain considering a can of soup cost more nowadays. I'll try to get to farmfoods sometime.
Good Morning Kazali, thank you for the comment - all is well thank you and I hope all is well with you too ! These sauces from Kohinoor are excellent value in Farmfoods and are normally £1.65p in other supermarkets - they also have some unusual flavours that you don't find in other brands - as you say you can pay more for a tin of soup ! Farmfoods do have some amazing bargains if you have time to look around the store - Have a great Sunday :-)
Hi Graham Looks Lovely - But I fear it may to too hot for me - such great value Cheers Paul
Good Morning Paul, thank you for the comment - You are probably right about this one as it was Hot but it did not have a long afterburn which is a bonus - the Kohinoor range have some very unusual sauces that I have never seen before and I am sure will be trying at some point ! Have a great Monday my Friend :-)
will give this a go , i love hot food .
Good Morning Anthony, thank you for the comment - I really enjoyed this sauce and will be buying it again ! have a great Monday :-)
Hi Graham, although it has a 3 chilli rating, much too much for me, you say it isn't that hot? I must say, it does look lovely and with the mushrooms and spinach, seems like a good combo. I'd have to have rice with it though, to tone down the heat ! At 99p, how can you go wrong with that. Thanks Graham, take care 🙂
Good Afternoon Michael, thank you for the comment - to be honest in my opinion this is more worthy of a 2 chilli rating - I am not denying that it does have a kick but the other flavours balance it out very well to an all round very tasty sauce - The Kohinoor range of sauces have some very interesting flavours that you do not normally see in the supermarkets - the price on farmfoods is very good as they are usually £1.,65p in places like Tesco and Morrisons - Mushroom and Spinach do work very well together as do Spinach and Potato - I have worked over the years with a lot of Indian /Pakistani people and the biggest percentage of them have been vegetarian - I am sure you are right and Rice would tone down the heat as would Mango Chutney and Raita - I hope you have a great Afternoon :-)
