    It would be so nice if all tutorials were done left handed as well as right handed! It really is so much easier for us to see how it should really be.done instead of trying to figure out how the right handed person did it! Thank you for this tutorial!

    Thankyou for this lovely stitch. I'm enjoying trying it tonight. I started learning with your granny Square vid on Xmas day, made a blanket, then tried your granny triangle X 2 to make into a poncho. Been using Poundland multicoloured yarn which gives a lovely effect. I can relate to the way you teach as a left hander. Love and blessings to you. From Helen in Brighton 💝🎇🌈🙏

    Hi Bella, thank you for this wonderful tutorial! As a lefty I cannot express enough how wonderful all your tutorials are!
    I have a question regarding this stitch, I am trying to make a scarf using it but somehow it doesn't look like what you have made. J don't know where I am going wrong as I have seen this video a couple of times and followed it to a tee

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад

      It's hard to say exactly where you're going wrong without knowing precisely how yours differs, but using a different yarn and/or a different hook size can vary the results. I have a written tutorial for the pattern here on my blog too which might help: bellacococrochet.com/waffle-stitch/ 😊

    Could you do a video on how you would join these squares into a blanket?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  9 лет назад

      yessikkuh you wouldn't really do squares. You would just do the blanket to the size you want by increasing the amount of chains you start with at the beginning x

  • @Lhmosca

    Thank you for making such great, easy to follow leftie vids. I haven't been able to "get it" until I discovered you. One question...do you ever get tired of saying "yahn ovah"?? LOL just kidding. I love your accent :) xoxo

    I have chained and stitched 3 times now and I'm still getting 28 stitches. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

    • @marymmiranda
      @marymmiranda 7 лет назад

      I'm having the same issue. But I've noticed what she had said in the beginning of this video. She's says 24 chains and then 4 chain more. But later she says she did 24 chains and added 2 chains more to get 26 stitches. But I've done both and still didn't get the right stitching amount that is required.

    I love your videos but I am really struggling with this waffle stitch.

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  Год назад +1

      It can be a tricky one to get the hang of but don’t give up - please note there is also an error in this video and you should be making your first stitch into the third chain, not the second (I’m really sorry if this has been the cause of any confusion). You can also find the written instruction over on my blog to use in conjunction with the video tutorial: blog.bellacococrochet.com/waffle-stitch/ 😊

    Hi
    The pattern looks amazing
    Which yarn would you use and for a 2 year old how big do you need the balnket to be and how much yarn do you need
    Otcwill great if you can let me know
    Thanks

  • @cathymartin3379
    @cathymartin3379 2 года назад

    Maybe I'm missing something on the first row - in your sample you chained 24 + 4 = 28, start in the 2nd chain, and at the end you said it would be 24 + 2 = 26. If you're starting in the 2nd stitch of 28, wouldn't there be 27 when you're done?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад

      There is an error with this pattern which is noted in the description box beneath the video - you should be making your first stitch into the third chain, not the second, which will give you twenty six stitches at the end. I'm sorry for any confusion caused 😊

    • @cathymartin3379
      @cathymartin3379 2 года назад

      @@bellacococrochet thank you for clarifying. I'm very new to crochet and presumed I was missing something lol. I dont often read the descriptions when I'm watching videos lol, i know a lot will add a comment on top of the video so you see it, but now i know! Thanks.

    Hi!! I have a quick question/needing confirmation. After the first stitch, do we continue to double crochet every third chain or do we double crochet into every single chain?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  18 дней назад

      You should work into every chain across; you skip the chains in the very beginning to bring your work up to the correct height :-)

  • @marygavin6293
    @marygavin6293 2 года назад

    Hi,I love the left-hand videos, but if I start with what you say 3x8=24+4= 28 I believe this would be my starting foundation chain?
    If I DC in 2nd chain from hook and across my foundation chain is 27 stitches. What am i doing wrong?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад

      I'm glad you like them! 😊 I'm really sorry but there is an error in this tutorial, and you should actually be making your first stitch into the third chain, not the second. This will give you the correct count at the end. It's always best to check the description box and any mistakes will be noted in there. Sorry for any confusion caused!

  • @MrMamajulie

    I do not understand. If we put 24+4, how we can have 26after first round???

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  6 месяцев назад

      Please accept our apologies, there is an amendment underneath the video - *Please note an error: you should be making your first stitch into the third chain from the hook, not the second. This will give you 26 stitches at the end* :)

    how many stitches to start out for a blanket with red hart yarn

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  2 года назад +1

      It depends how big you want the blanket 😊 Remember you need to chain in multiples of 3, plus 4 for turning. I would crochet a small sample piece in your yarn, and you can then use this to calculate how many chains for a full sized blanket
