I hate this idea. It pretty much means that Profesor X has to learn all about himself and mutants from scratch. Magneto has to make up his mind about humans and start his movement. It takes away the rich history of Wolverine. It removes so many storypoints they could tall in the MCU. I still think it's better to go with a story where they've been around for ages. And at some point the X-men had to go into hiding and Professor X had to whipe Mutants from everyones memory or something. And so powered people like Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Ms Marvel are Mutants without knowing it. But now they start to come back out of hiding slowly and return to the world. That leavesa rich history for them to explore. But it also allows the MCU to do the plotline where the Government seems a Mutant Problem. And you still have an experienced Professor X and Magneto take up the fight in their own way etc. Having them just all of a sudden pop up in 2025 and have to start from scratch is the worst idea i can imagine for the MCU.

@@MonkeyPowerkey Ok, but then mutants have to live a lot longer than humans. Or you have to take away Magneto’s holocaust experiences. We’ve seen how old Isaiah Bradley is already.

    • @MonkeyPowerkey
      @MonkeyPowerkey 2 года назад

@@kylehagenbuch9373 Magneto is already pretty damn fit for his age as is. I mean, they put a muscle sute on Ian McKellen to buff him up. So add in a few extra years. Freeze him. Time travel, Multiverse what ever. It's better to have a spry 90 year old Magneto and a Charles Xavier that's still up and rolling despite his age than to have them all just pop up and have powers and be noobs. The best part about Xavier and Magneto is the fact that they are both older and experienced. There's history. And you still absolutely need to keep the Holocaust element of Magneto's story. So unless they totaly disregard his backround, he would have to be old. Don't the comics also run sort of paralel to current day? So he's already ancient. At some point they're just gonna have to find plot reasons to have them be young for their age. Maybe the mutant gene in the MCU makes all of them age slower? Maybe Magneto's power just allowes him to slow his aging? Maybe Charles Xavier was experimented on at some point? There's a ton of backstory you could add. All of wich is better than ''And then we just had powers one day''.

I think it is different in Mickey Mouse Marvel. The Eternals are kinda like androids or replicants now so they don’t have genes really as far as the movie explained and Deviant’s were genetically engineered completely independently. Why did they change this? Because phase 4 I guess?
So it is likely mutants will get a different origin as well.

yea for a while now I've been saying that to myself and I think this is the result of them always steering away from the source material in the comics. There was always some adaption or twist with the movies so now after several movies of doing that, nothing makes sense or the movies all have conflicting theories-reasons-truths. The multiverse doesn't help, because every director has their own vision of it.
They should have a team in place to check for consistencies within the plots of their movies, it isn't so hard to make sure everything makes sense if you're trying to have movies forever and Phase 6+.
Prime example of plots not running consistent is WandaVision and M.o.M.

Rob what do you think about this:
...ok, so here's the thing. A lot of people complained that Eternals didn't tie in well with the rest of the MCU and everyone is additionally complaining that no one is talking about THE GIANT HEAD STICKING OUT OF THE EARTH.
I think it never happened. At least not in the main MCU universe. I think it's a completely separate universe and not only that, but Feige and crew are going to setup up a few movies in either one or multiple universes leading up to the avengers Kang dynasty/ secret wars. I think they are establishing characters to care about and then when the avengers movies come it's going to be a multiversal war between them and either one or both universes get destroyed.
Now, I think destroying or resetting the main 616 universe is what they'll go for so they can neatly wrap up the accumulated titles and characters AND start afresh.
If you wondering how they are going to top the last avengers movies I think secret wars will end with the destruction of the entire mcu, paving way for a new universe time-line or a reset (but with more potential like the x-men)
I think Eternals was the first movie based entirely outside thr main mcu but won't be the last. Probably fantastic 4 will be as well.

I had this theory clanging around in my head for some time and this rob makes more sense now that you've put it out there. i really hope KF actually does this going forward.
    Edit:
ROB!! You may be exactly right! Recall if you will from miss marvel, her great grand mother was from a different dimension right? okay so she was able to have a baby despite her genetic makeup. miss marvel's great grandmother is another deviant gene person that was spawned from the earlier experiments from the celestials. that would allow her to as well manipulate the energies of her dimension as well. so fast forward to kamala, her friend says hey you have a mutation in your genome. That would imply that this occurrence is definitely of spreading amongst other generations as well. also remember her brother has yet to have kids, but who's to say his first kid won't be a mutant like kamala? I'd also wager that since he's been around her energy maybe that triggers a dormant gene in him or his wife and that child comes out with abilities thanks to kamala. The MCU has already put some of the building blocks in there. You happen to be right on top of it.

And one of the results of them doing what they weren't suppose to was Thanos being born. And they can keep all that. And just make it that after this happened his parents decided not to have another child and therefore they adopted Eros.

The Celestials are not a credible source, thier motives are very self serving so to me they would lie about anything. In the comics the Eternals, Deviants, and Mutants have always been associated with each other as they were all created by the Celestials. There is no reason for a Deviant and a Human to touch ugliest to create Mutants, the Celestials already created them. Marvel Comics really is in need of writers that read old school pre 90s comics.

I for one have liked every single movie or show they've come out with up to date. As a kid reading comics never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd ever get to see my heroes in live action. And have it actually look visually mind blowing. So as a fan I am never disappointed because when I was a kid I saw Superman clearly dangling from wires and thought that was the height of what we'd get and watching Superman at 8 years old in 96. I thought were hopeless. Only heroes that don't fly is what I thought.
I love living in this time where we get to see these movies that to me, are all mind blowing. When they deviate from the comics, to me, it's a good thing.
Let's be honest.Comics can do whatever they want but we can't expect all these actors to sign 30 year contracts and be let's say, iron man forever. Rdj got old and now we have to move on. People die. Rip. Tchalla Boseman the king. There's many factors that play into why things aren't perfect for everyone.
For example; T-L&T to me wasn't as good as I expected. I felt taika needed to add a joke or insert himself into every part of the movie. His success with Ragnarok and other movies must've elevated his ego x 1000, because him getting more screen time than gorr was the oddly was the funniest joke on us in the worst way.
Again, I would never bash the movie because Chris Odinson you can tell fucking loves being Thor and if he felt responsible for all the bad press about the movie, that would suck ass. At least to me.I have no idea what it takes to make a movie but I know the script and plot is not something Thor can help much. I was excited for Gorr but it was a movie about Thor finally finding purpose and to me, that was great.
In my humble opinion people just need to relax and enjoy the ride. trust in the feig. The fact that you could go back to phase one and still find Easter eggs for things that happened later on is so awesome. Everyone criticizing so harshly is beyond me. They're building towards the next big thing. Not every movie is going to be infinity war and endgame.
I'm rambling but I been thinking about this for some time now seeing all the hate. People calling the Disney shows trash, the only "good movie" was no way home since endgame. We are eventually going to get the mcu's version of battle world for phase 6. And if they're going to do it right, they already are by pumping out new heroes and anti heros on Disney plus.
Yes maybe the shows aren't up to par with your expectations but they have a lot of characters to introduce and we're basically getting something mcu related every month in theaters or Disney+ and we see a new hero or antihero in each series or movie. What they're building towards is going to be epic and I cannot wait.
If you made it this far, here, have this 🏆 my gift to you for reading my rambling!

The Skrulls are deviants as well. This could be used to explain how an entire planet's population came to be mutated. And why the skrulls and Thanos have that trademark chin... This could all be rolled up nicely into secret invasion

LOL, called it rob reconfirming what most of us know about from eternals / xmen issues months ago roughly when the eternals was still in theaters.. It's a shame, he only pursues current hype instead of the comics them selves like he used to 😂🤣

Thanos is a Titan, He born to Eternals parents, now Deviants and Eternals are from the same source. There were some Deviants that look like Eternals.

I personally don't like the idea of all Eternals being inorganic because of how convoluted it makes Thanos specifically.

But I think Eros should have been the villain for Love and Thunder
They killed his brother after all
And Thor is in space with GOTG
    Just a weird idea 😋😋😋

If they make this Association that Thanos was a Mutant public to the people of earth it would make sense that everyone would be wary of them compared to other Enhanced people with powers

I still prefer the Earth X Universe X explanation that Thanos (and Eros) is half eternal half skrull. The Skrulls themselves are the Deviants of their own race as the other types of skrulls were wiped out. Having said that, there are mutants within the Skrull Population too as seen in the x-men comics years ago circa 1999

this theory is not wrong Rob, but we must take into consideration that the Deviants, as they are represented in Eternals, only manage to evolve and become sentient beings when they consume Eternals, like Kro's case. So they would have to do some kind of retcon to imply that some Deviant became intelligent, had a relationship with a human, and hence there is the possibility of "excess deviation" in the form of a mutant gene, both in the earth as in Titan. That theory needs more work

Isn't it the Skrulls where the Deviant version won out over the standard version of their race? My real question though is that if there are Deviant Skrulls then does that mean there are Celestial Skrulls? And the same is true for any other race. Are there Deviant and Celestial versions of every race in the universe?

Since all Eternals and Deviants are synthetic, how would they procreate in any way shape or form? From what I've seen in Eternals, it doesn't seem to be possible.

Possibly, at least for the origins of Mutants, however the MCU is going to be following Hickman because I highly doubt Hickman would have accepted a long term job running the X Office having Kevin Fegie breathing down his neck.

In the MCU, what if mutants & inhumans are the same thing. Inhumans were originally mutants on Earth, who saw the way ancient civilization reacted to them having powers, so they just left. Their mutant DNA & phsyiology was altered to adapt & adjust to the harsh conditions of space.
