How long have you been in the Philippines? Next time ask for food recomendations and definitely ask how to eat them properly.
Most Filipino dishes have strong flavors because they are meant to be eaten with rice like that purple salted eggs and the Kare-kare. For the latter, for every spoonful add rice and a little of the shrimp paste. They are certainly not meant to be eaten separately. Same goes with the halo-halo which literally means mix-mix.
Make the most of your stay next time. Metro Manila is composed of 16 cities, don't just limit yourselves to old Manila. Some of the biggest malls in the world are here as well, your kids are gonna love it!

I'm very impressed with your two boys with their ability to swim, dive, and hold their breath in such young age. Water safety is also the important part of their swimming lessons. Greetings from a swim instructor here in Minnesota!

@@TheBackpackingFamily Minnesota has over 10000 beautiful lakes and we take the water safety very seriously. These are some of the tips for all swimmers regardless: Know your limitations, never swim alone, dangers of hyperventilation and hypoxic blackout, and adjust for the unique risks of the water environment you are in, such as lake conditions, river currents, ocean rip currents, water temperature, shallow or unclear water, underwater hazards such as vegetation and animals. Also, learn how to float, tread, turn over, turn around water, CPR, and First Aid. Last, always have life jacket or floating devices around while boating regardless of your swimming skills. Good luck from Khmer in Minnesota!

How LOVELY that your kids worked together so seamlessly. My daughter hated swimming until she was 5 years because we lived in New York and she didn't have access to pools so I totally get how foreign it must have felt!

Haha not always, they still play like bros, but when it comes to things that count they really are amazing together 💛 so happy your daughter likes it now, - I imagine NYC is pretty tricky to get any swimming time in. - thank you so much for joining our little channel
