It's always good to show how the fastener works before diving in to the install or removal methods. Most of the other rivet videos left that part out. Good job!
Thank you for making this video that this Grandma can understand! Need to replace two rivets for RV window before strong winds up to forty expected tomorrow. Thank you, now it looks easy!
Finally a clear visual demonstration.. I thought before when drilling into the pop rivet I had to drill deep into the long piece. It just popped off when I drilled it. My problem is that my rivet was driven into a 3/8 inch piece of plywood (from the 1930s) so I hope it will simple complete pop off when I drill it. The affected object is a highly valuable chair.
Thanks a Lot ! My screen door had couple those for the lock that I needed to remove - i got stuck after watching your cylinder lock removal. Now will try this to remove the whole door lock
Thanks pal, very helpful. I need to replace philips screws in my metal shed panels for security and haven't used pop rivets before so this was very helpful :)
Excellent! Appreciate that you covered all aspects: how they work, how they should be installed, how to remove & what's needed for tools. Much appreciated!
Mate, just came across your channel with this video and you have a new subscriber. No fuss instructions and what's better from a fellow Aussie. Keep up the great work.
Thank you sir! My Maserati has 2 of these things and had no idea on how to remove them. I tried using a hex key lol! Thank again, you saved me a headache. Purchased a pop rivet tool at Harbor Freight
Now I’m sorry I threw out the pop rivet gun had it for years and never knew what to do with it. Thanks for making this so clear I have a little caravan and pop rivets are the only fastener I can use. Now I’ll have to get another gun.
Great instructional video! Thank you for the simplicity as I now understand how to use this fastening method. I totally understand why Honda outdoor motors & products are SUPERIOR to Briggs & Stratton! Briggs & Stratton uses pop rivots to fasten the recoil starter to their engines vs Honda who uses simple bolts (10 mm) that remove easily & don't cause metal to break off & fall into the flywheel area. If you need to repower your outdoor equipment, pay the extra up front for the Honda motor as it's well worth it in the long run. (Honda spare parts are 1/3rd the cost of Briggs & Stratton)
Great video…best explanation I’ve seen by far. I am trying to replace an interior pop rivet in my airstream travel trailer. The rivet head came off but I cannot extract the stem underneath the aluminum interior wall. I can flex the wall in but the stem seems to be “stuck” and will not eject. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Great vedio thank you.im thinking of using these to replace some of the screws that failed on my metal yardmaster shed.not sure what size to get atm.thank you
As you say it is very easy to do but for those of us as complete newbies it is a priceless tutorial. Thank you.
I’ve never ever ever seen such a clear how to video. Thanks mate.
I've watched a few of these tutorials now, and this is the best so far - especially the removal aspect, which others have overlooked.
100% everyone’s covered what they do, how to do it etc but none that include removal of them
It's always good to show how the fastener works before diving in to the install or removal methods. Most of the other rivet videos left that part out. Good job!
He even showed what it looked like from the back of the metal surface while installing the rivet.
This guy is an amazing teacher. The demonstration was perfect for all levels. Thank you
