I had known this manga for a while. It's good that this manga finally getting a little more attention. Found some things like Giovanni's dead Nidoking and Gary's dead parents quite interesting as it shows a darker side of Pokémon. The Electric Tale of Pikachu is also highly recommended for anyone who likes darker stuff in Pokémon. The many manga series in particular make me really sad that there will never be anime versions.
I see that this version of Satoshi replaces the pins on his cap with his current Gym Badge. I also see Professor Oak has a Venusaur, which is probably a nod to the scrapped battle with him in the games. A shame the female player wasn't used in stories until recent years.
I think a long time ago when gender changes were put into Pokémon. They were deciding upon one horn for a female Charizard. But quickly decided that it looked weird and went against it.
I seen this manga before a Pokemon it was a pretty cool manga and actually pretty cool I didn't realize that it was based on Pokemon red and green but I kind of like it it really does bring back a whole lot of memories of how I began my journey as a Pokemon trainer I actually kind of like this manga I love it 😉👍
Ash's team was Charizard, Raichu, Ditto, Lapras, Jigglypuff and Alakazam. These are the strongest and most important members of his team. When it comes to Gary, however, not much is known. He probably used his Blastoise and Pidgeot. Otherwise, only Rhyhorn, Doduo, Tauros and Chansey are known, which he caught in the Safari Zone. But I can imagine that Gary probably has a similar team to Blue in the games.
@VeeVolt I didn't have any complaints about it in particular, but it wasn't anything special either. It excelled in what it was supposed to be. A simple Pokémon story. But for a retelling of how the majority of people played the games, it was pretty great. Also, expanding the lore of Pokémon and character backstories is always a plus for me. Feels like they took Pyrce's backstory in Jhoto from this manga XD. But Suguru being jealous of Satoshi was an interesting take given in other edaration of his character, he is shown to more arrogant.
I like the little extra bits of fleshing out they gave the gym leaders and Oak's family, especially Daisy, considering she isn't even in the anime, imo that was a missed opportunity.
Well it must get some bonus points for actually letting Pikachu evolve.

Zensho sounds like a great read! (Are you gonna cover "The Electric Tale Of Pikachu" for a future video?)
I’ve read this manga before and I enjoyed it. It follows the plot of the games but the gym leaders have backstories which makes this manga endearing!
Wonder why this Pokemon manga never released in Asia, I like style and simple as game
It has been released in other parts of Asia, not just in Japan.
I actually read a little bit of it. Zensho is very interesting
So cool to learn about this! I thought I knew all the pokemon manga

How was Ash and Gary's final team in this manga, when they met in the League?

Ironically, I read the manga just some days ago.
