if you play on prestige mode you still can do it:
use the seared tank and use a seared faucet to drain the lava inside into the casting basin one step below the faucet

Not that i know of, The smeltery Drain works because it is a "input" and "output" block. Since the Porcelain setup doesn't have a "Drain" block i don't think it will work.
