As somebody quite new to DE wet shaving I am absolutely loving this razor… I started out with the Edwin Jagger DE89 which was great, but after a couple of months felt I wasn’t getting as close a shave as I would like. This razor has been really good and it feels like a great quality item. Also I’m constantly impressed by the service from executive shaving… Thanks for the review Kevy, as always very helpful and enjoyable
Got my outlaw from Executive Shaving via their EBay shop which was good value £75 I think, after using it for over two weeks, I have mixed feelings, I love the look and build quality. I have used Astra and Gillette blades eventually progressing to Feather and never yet managed to achieve the two pass shave, it’s either not close enough with two or I’m covered in small nicks with three. I have previously been alternating between the Mercur Future and the 37c Slant both are good but I struggled with the bulk of the Future (especially under nose). Hopefully with persistence I’ll get on better with the outlaw eventually , I want to like it but so far can’t decide.
Hi Kevy, I had my second shave with the Outlaw just now. New Derby blade, Proraso pre shave, proraso green soap then Alum block and proraso balm to finish. Considering the Outlaw is quite aggressive I had a pretty good shave. I got nicked 4 times on a 3 pass shave but with my face that's bound to happen! Apart from the nicks my face is not sore. I am glad I decided not to go with a new feather blade especially after Brian had warned me to be careful. My King C Gillette arrived today and I will open it soon. I will try my Parker Variant for my next shave. Not used it yet! Cheers buddy, Dave.
Hi Kevy, My Outlaw arrived today and I had 3 days growth. My growth is always patchy. I thought I'd be brave and use a Feather Blade but a used one. The Razor felt completely different and was very kind to my skin. I used Kent soap which made the razor drag a little. Will try a more slippery soap next time! All in all it gave me a nice comfortable shave with practically no irritation. I was a little ginger with it though after the horrendous last 2 shaves with the Wilkinson Classic. Next time I will happily use a new Feather blade. I have ordered the Feather Razor as I was given £200 in vouchers for Amazon as a thank you for a load of work I did at a community centre for the past 6 weeks. Hi Kevy, I love watching this video as it's your first use of the Outlaw. My first use was with a second use feather blade. My two previous shaves had been with Wilkinson classic butterfly and got cut to pieces!! When I heard the Outlaw on my face, first few strokes, I thought oh God! But it was a really smooth shave. I am awaiting delivery of the Executive Shaving's Natural & Bay Rum shaving cream and some preshave oil. Oh, and my replacement Feather razor should be here tomorrow. Have you tried the Envoy razor yet? Take care and stay safe buddy, Dave.
Hi Kevy, I have just shaved with the Feather Razor. Proraso white soap and Simpsons Trafalgar T3 brush. Proraso sensitive balm after. Got probably the closest shave ever. I have to get used to the fact that I will never get a perfect shave because of my scarred skin. No razor could do it without removing the scarred parts on my face to get to the stubble! Please don't get me wrong I am not badly scarred up or anything, just acne scars. I just haven't got a perfectly smooth face like yours. I know from watching your videos that if you have a pimple or any such thing it gets lopped off!! 😂😂. I have still to properly test the Outlaw and a first shave with my new Parker Variant. I also have to find a satisfactory plate for my Rockwell 6c. I really need a 2 3/4 plate, just slightly less than the 3 but more than the 2!! 😕😕. I got two nicks with the Feather but for my skin that is good. Plus I have to get used to the angle. The T3 brush was fantastic and the Proraso balm really nice. The Feather required a thinner lather. Stay safe up there in that beautiful country! Dave.
Hi Kevy I have just bought the Outlaw as my Rockwell 6c has expired in less than 12 months.and that's using in rotation. I can no longer screw it together and no I haven't been over tightening it. I only ever tighten finger tighten to avoid damaging the threads . I found the quality suspect from the time I received it. When I opened it the 2/4 wasn't properly formed but Rockwell did replace it. Did enjoy using it probably should have gone for 6s but I was expecting better even with the 6c. Can I ask where you get the plastic washers you use on your razors. Keep well and keep safe.
I would contact Rockwell and let them know. I would hope a razor would last longer than 12 months. The plastic washers...search on Ebay for plastic washers size M5. Kevy 👍
@@kevyshaves4109 Hi Kevy I have found and ordered the washers thanks very much. I had my 6c from Executive Shaving so I contacted them and Brian could not have been more helpful I am 100% happy with what he did for me hence I bought the Outlaw. I did contact Rockwell who said it was after the 60 day warranty however they did offer me a free top cap but as it was out of warranty I would have to pay the postage 15 dollars (£13.30) plus admin costs which also involve additional customs, brokerage and other fees so Particularly as there is no guarantee this would solve the problem and if I had to replace the handle as well this would have become an expensive razor.
Decent efficiency with this one! What razors does this jump ahead of? I believe this is made by Alpha Shaving. I prefer the alpha branding version. Very tempted to buy!
Impressive as all hell! I was sold completely on the quality of result achieved by Carbon's CX-316L. This Outlaw Razor is sure to win favor with all who see this. What a terrific shave, with en equally amazing razor. -and at .71 gap no less! That is definitely the handle I'd choose as well. The fit and finish is flawless. It appears well worth the 98 quid. Then again, I'm sure postage to the states will be far beyond reasonable. This session was a treat to behold. I hope we speak soon. My well wishes to Mrs Kevy, and Mr Riley. Cheers!
I'm glad that you didn't have to put a tourniquet on to stop the bleeding. I get my shower and shave tonight and I'm looking forward to it. I will probably send for more shaving stuff at the end of the month.
Great shave Kevy. I got the Outlaw (with the same handle) about a week ago and I’m blown away with it. You can tell that a lot of time & effort was put into designing it. The craftsmanship and finish is exceptional to. And all that and stainless steel too, for an outstandingly good price 😀👍🏼
I prefer it over the r41. Is it better? That depends on wether you like a very aggressive shave, which the R41 will give you. The shave is smoother for me than the R41. Kevy 😂
@@kevyshaves4109 Thank you so much for your reply..... Do you know a more aggressive razor than R41? Im using R41 with feather blades, still after 2 shaves the blades get dull and start pulling the hairs and i get razor burn. Ive started with R89 which was too mild for me, didnt cut all the hairs, needed 3 passes and got burns- switched to R41 some 6 years ago which is ok in 2 passes, but only with some really sharp blades....
Great video, you really stepped up the quality inn this one showing off the razor. As for water in the soap, I have some that their instructions are too add water and let the soap "bloom" before trying to lather. As you stated, I just turn it upside down for a few days. I like the way you lather and soap your face. I've started really working the soap in the same way and it's does make for a better shave.
That's saying a lot! I've yet to have one shave where I didn't have to do extensive pickups on the inner sides of the neck near the middle after 3 passes. It must be more aggressive than it looks. Does the box say at all where it's made?
Thanks Kevy, enjoyed the video. I would like to ask if you could mention the scent strength of the soaps you use (in the tub and on the face). I love strong Scents and they can be quite hard to find. Perhaps you could do a video on strong scents). Ta.
Wonderful design and production standards look to be of the highest value. The Outlaw name conjures up memories of Rob Roy MacGregor. It was probably the English that saw him as such. The saying “you’ll have your eye out with that” comes to mind. The Kaizen base looks quite amazing in lather production.
Laugh lines vs. weepers - I'll take the laugh lines every day because, well, I'd rather be laughing! What an outstanding looking razor. That's definitely on my wishlist now. Well done, as always, Kevy!
@@kevyshaves4109 Tks Kevy, it shud be smoother. Later I found the braveheart has a staggering 1,01 blade gap... Thats why one must be brave, I hardly use mine,
I forgot to mention kevy that I used the sure grip handle today as I now have both. I was a bit of a wuss not using the new Feather blade, opting for a new Derby instead. But I thought "He who shaves and runs away, lives to shave another day"......(Scaramouche I think!! 😂😂). I have opened the King C and it looks pretty good. I thought from looking at the pictures people posted that it was an 89 head but I see the base plate has a curve to it. I shall use my new Parker Variant next shave. I know you have one. How aggressive is setting 1 compared to plate 1 on the Rockwell? Cheers buddy, Dave.
Great shave Kevy, and a great razor, though I winced at the wee cut next to the eye it gave you. I was going to ask how it compared to the Muehle R41, but you let us know near the end. I would like to pick up one of those razors eventually (it's a bit out of my budget at the mo, I'm afraid!) It certainly has given you a great shave, your face looked so very smooth and clean, even after the 2nd pass! The feedback sound as you were shaving immediately told me how efficient it is. Take care mate!
You are such an amazing guy! I am 15 and actually have a patchy, almost full beard! believe it or not! And i am really into wet shaving. I was wondering if you had any good tips for vinatge wet shaving kit’s🔥🤩
If I were you, I'd have a look on executive Shaving if you're in the UK - really excellent selection of modern and more traditional looking safety razors, and full kits.
Hey Kevy, in Germany we have a lock down too. Wasn't allowed to meet others, groups, concerts etc. I work less than normal. But now it's getting normal bit by bit. Friends of mine (married couple with kids) had Covid 19. They are fine now! Great soap, brush and a beautiful Razor. Love the look!👍🏼👍🏼 Hope you three are fine! Greetings, Jens
Good evening Kevy! I had a good run with the King C Gillette blade. Using a variety of razors, I managed five 4-pass shaves before the blade struggled to provide a clean shave. Honestly, I hoped for more. The Executive Shaving Outlaw razor looks very nice. I wonder where it is made? Should be made along the Clyde! Those blade are sharp! The lines of the face have zero defense against the edge. Lovely audio feedback from the razor and blade combination. I have used a two pass shave, specifically when using the Blackland Dart or the Muhle R41. I can get near BBS with just the two passes. Good shave Kevy! What is in the red container? I can't read it. Just wondering. Please stay safe, happy, and healthy! Cheers.
Hey Kevy, awesome. Have you had any follow up shaves with the Outlaw? Other than the King C. Gillette Blade, do you recommend any other blades with the Razor?
Hi kevy, As you know I have ordered this outlaw Razor. How does it compare to the AS-D2 Feather mate? I can afford one but is there any point as the Outlaw is on it's way? Many thanks in advance, Dave 😁😁
Hi Kevy, finally I see this razor in action. Now I want to ask you. Since you've used Gamechanger 84, EJ 3ONE6 and the Russian Start razor. Out of all those which one would you say is best for smoothness, efficiency and comfort. And please be objective. Thank you.
The Start razor is easily the smoothest and comfiest razor out of those you mentioned. No overhang on the blade tabs, the 0.90mm plate feels so smooth and at the same time is efficient. The Gamechanger isn't too far behind in terms of comfort and efficiency but for me, the Start is the smoothest razor I've tried so far. The 3ONE6 is good also, but for me, it doesn't quite measure up to the Gamechanger or the Start razor. Cheers. Kevy 👍
Greetings from Dhaka, Bangladesh. The way you show razors are unparalleled. Great reviews as usual. You use highest amount of lather in the world. Anyway you can avoid excessive lathering. Stay home and be safe.
Hello mate my friend is looking to get into wet shaving and looking to buy his first razor, was thinking to recommend this outlaw razor as looks great, my only worry is that it might be to aggressive, what are your thoughts?
Just to get a rough estimate how aggressive this outlaw razor is, what setting would base plate would you compare it with with the start razor or what base plate on a karve ?
Some really nice close-up shots of the razor. Looks a superb piece of kit. The mysteries of the D.E world in that it is less aggressive than an R41 but seemingly more efficient. Nice wee 'war wound'! I used to seem to catch my ear😂
Dude, that cut with razor in the eyes area was scary. Last week I shaved for the first time with a safety razor the Parker 60R. I got a little cuts but it was obvious that could happen me as a beginner.
Great shave and very nice razor. I think it's overpriced tho. The head only is £ 80. The same as the Rockwell 6S with all 3 plates - and the handle 🙄. Take care Kevy!
I have to agree with you, its not like its any better than a Game Changer or Mamba from Razorock. I do like this razor but its just another stainless steel model. They are all too common these days.
So as I really want one of these, I was doing some calculations. I live in South Africa so after shipping and import taxes I am looking at a smidgen under double the price I would pay for a GameChanger, 60% more than a Mamba 70 or a 6S and even a good deal more than a Homelike Start. That's at the £98 introductory mark not the £120. So yeah, a bit of a bite there from the lads at Executive Shaving and begs the question could it be up on the scale of diminishing returns for the price being asked. But then again so are a lot of things in this hobby lol. My girlfriend is Scottish so I have to get one for the den regardless, and being Irish, it's a product a wee bit closer to home.
Great video Kevy! I’ve just started using Proraso’s White line which is nice and fresh. I’ve ordered some Wood and Spice balm and aftershave from their professional range. Do you think you could try some Proraso Wood and Spice for a review some time? All the best.

I have tried several blades in my Outlaw and at this point in time I found I liked the Gillette Silver Blue best.
@@lesliefitzer2846 Thanks for the advice, I currently use personna blades for my old Merkur, but I bought a selection pack from Executive Shaving to find which ones suit me for the outlaw, and I'm sure it included a pack of those Gillette blades. Thanks again.

Its a nice step up from the 34C its not as aggressive as you think. Its really well made and will last forever. I dont find it too aggressive at all. Cheers. Kevy 👍
Great video, Kevy. This razor looks very similar to the Braveheart and, according to the Exec. Co. website both razors use the same blade gap. How do the two razors compare to each other? I already have a Braveheart and need to decide whether or not I ask need an Outlaw.

Dave.
Great to hear that Dave. Kevy 😀👍
Its sits between the R89 and R41 in my opinion. Very smooth feeling. 👍
Outlaw, Rex Ambassador or Rockwell 6S? It seems you have all three, which do you prefer, or would recommend?
They are all great razors but the Rockwell 6S is still my favourite. Kevy 😀
@@kevyshaves4109 Perfect, thank you.
Cheers!
Cheers mate 👍
I'm glad that you didn't have to put a tourniquet on to stop the bleeding.
I get my shower and shave tonight and I'm looking forward to it.
I will probably send for more shaving stuff at the end of the month.
Great shave Kevy.
I got the Outlaw (with the same handle) about a week ago and I’m blown away with it. You can tell that a lot of time & effort was put into designing it. The craftsmanship and finish is exceptional to. And all that and stainless steel too, for an outstandingly good price 😀👍🏼
ive got a R41.....do you think this is better? should i buy this one?
I prefer it over the r41. Is it better? That depends on wether you like a very aggressive shave, which the R41 will give you. The shave is smoother for me than the R41. Kevy 😂
@@kevyshaves4109 Thank you so much for your reply.....
Do you know a more aggressive razor than R41? Im using R41 with feather blades, still after 2 shaves the blades get dull and start pulling the hairs and i get razor burn.
Ive started with R89 which was too mild for me, didnt cut all the hairs, needed 3 passes and got burns- switched to R41 some 6 years ago which is ok in 2 passes, but only with some really sharp blades....
hi john here looking at the outlaw razor and the claymore se razor how did you like the outlaw razor
Ourlaw is really good. Kevy 🙂

I tried that razor for the first time today it has some pretty insane audible feedback, sounded like i was in the bathroom scraping toast..lol.
I just bought one, and I have very heavy growth - might have to invest in sound proofing for the bathroom 😄

@@kevyshaves4109 Thanq very much Mr. Kevy bro.
It's the only razor I've found that shaves my neck smooth without the need for pick ups. Nicely done Kevy
That's saying a lot! I've yet to have one shave where I didn't have to do extensive pickups on the inner sides of the neck near the middle after 3 passes. It must be more aggressive than it looks. Does the box say at all where it's made?
It doesnt say 👍
No box. It comes in a leather travel case
Apparently it's made in Hong Kong.
Good to hear; just ordered myself one, and my neck is particularly frustrating. 😄
Great looking razor, I am thinking about buying it, but I am dialy shaver so could it be for every day?
Best regards!
It might be a bit much for a daily shaver. Kevy 🙂
@@kevyshaves4109 I think about MILD version...
@@bojanbokic4991 yes, the mild version would be an ok daily shaver.
There’s no denying the Outlaw is a great looking razor. The Yaqi brushes are great as well I love mine.
so with reference to yer coupon if you go to a pub in Glasgow and get yer coupon chinned is he realy just a coupon clipper ?
That's almost correct. You're in the bawpark! 👍
Thanks Kevy, enjoyed the video. I would like to ask if you could mention the scent strength of the soaps you use (in the tub and on the face). I love strong Scents and they can be quite hard to find. Perhaps you could do a video on strong scents). Ta.
I sometimes mention scent strength out of 10. 👍
Wonderful design and production standards look to be of the highest value. The Outlaw name conjures up memories of Rob Roy MacGregor. It was probably the English that saw him as such. The saying “you’ll have your eye out with that” comes to mind. The Kaizen base looks quite amazing in lather production.
I nearly did have my eye out 😂😂
Laugh lines vs. weepers - I'll take the laugh lines every day because, well, I'd rather be laughing! What an outstanding looking razor. That's definitely on my wishlist now. Well done, as always, Kevy!
Nice razor, Kevy. May I know, how is it compared to the Braveheart, is it somewhat less aggressive?
Its about the same but the shave feels smoother. Kevy 👍
Cheers buddy,
Dave.
Setting 1 on the Variant is a little more efficient than plate 1 on the Rockwell but not by much. Kevy 😁
@@kevyshaves4109 Thanks Kevy!
Great shave Kevy, and a great razor, though I winced at the wee cut next to the eye it gave you. I was going to ask how it compared to the Muehle R41, but you let us know near the end. I would like to pick up one of those razors eventually (it's a bit out of my budget at the mo, I'm afraid!)
It certainly has given you a great shave, your face looked so very smooth and clean, even after the 2nd pass! The feedback sound as you were shaving immediately told me how efficient it is. Take care mate!
Hi Kevy. That’s a very nice razor. I am thinking to get one also. What’s that ring you put between the handle and the head?
It's a plastic washer that protects the razor getting marked when the handle is screwed onto the head. Kevy 👍
You are such an amazing guy! I am 15 and actually have a patchy, almost full beard! believe it or not! And i am really into wet shaving. I was wondering if you had any good tips for vinatge wet shaving kit’s🔥🤩

How does the king c blade compare to other older Gillette’s? Nacet, plat, silver blue etc.
Its good. Not as smoith as Nacets but it feels sharp. Kevy 👍
Cheers.
Thank you as always Todd. The red container is Imperial Leather talc. Cheers. Kevy 👍
Hey Kevy, awesome. Have you had any follow up shaves with the Outlaw? Other than the King C. Gillette Blade, do you recommend any other blades with the Razor?
I've used it quite a few times. I've used a different blade every time and I've not had a bad shave with any of them. Great razor. Kevy 👍

Hi kevy,
As you know I have ordered this outlaw Razor. How does it compare to the AS-D2 Feather mate? I can afford one but is there any point as the Outlaw is on it's way?
Many thanks in advance,

The AS-D2 is very mild compared to the Outlaw. The Outlaw will give you a better shave. Kevy 👍
Cheers. Kevy 👍

It might have a little bit too much for his first razor. I would suggest the Rockwell 6C. Kevy 👍
@@kevyshaves4109 ok I see thanks alot
Just to get a rough estimate how aggressive this outlaw razor is, what setting would base plate would you compare it with with the start razor or what base plate on a karve ?
Some really nice close-up shots of the razor. Looks a superb piece of kit. The mysteries of the D.E world in that it is less aggressive than an R41 but seemingly more efficient. Nice wee 'war wound'! I used to seem to catch my ear😂

Kevy, Great shave and a beautiful razor. How does this razor compare to the Rockwell 6S for smoothness? The best to you, Mrs. Kevy and Riley!
It feels as smooth but the 6S is still King! 😉👍
Dude, that cut with razor in the eyes area was scary. Last week I shaved for the first time with a safety razor the Parker 60R. I got a little cuts but it was obvious that could happen me as a beginner.
As a de shaver I'm always learning. Today's shave I learned not to shave too close to my eyes 😂👍
The head reminds me of the Maggard's V3A head... But its clearly much better in quality and that handle is amazing!!! Thanks Kevy!
Thanks. The handle is beautiful 👍
Consumer choice is a good thing. Kevy 👍
@@kevyshaves4109 Indeed. More options are always better for the consumer.

A word of advice when you put the blade over the pegs on the top cap make sure you press and hold it down whilst putting the bottom plate on. Good luck.with your new razor. I have tried several blades in my Outlaw and at this point in time I found I liked the Gillette Silver Blue best.
