At first I thought "just another stupid animal you'll grow to love after annoying tutoring sessions" then I see it yank the big bad darkversion of it away from you to save you... pretty freaking loyal, now I think differently

shame this didnt come out, what 5-6 years ago when it was announced and all the hype was still there? the game would have been very impressive back then at 30fps if it could run on ps3, nobody would care since the very pretty game that was SOTC and it's ~15 fps was still fresh for some - but we got the game on ps4 looking the same as in the announce trailer ps3 gameplay and it's still 30fps capped. usually you don't trailer a game til it's reasonably within a year of release, so i'm confused why it released as a ps3 game on ps4 nearly 6 years later

This video was very helpful. Even though I used it to kinda cheat the game.

Hey to the people who played this game: It is as good as Shadow of the Colussus or Ico?

      PezConSombrero better

PezConSombrero I didn't think so. The narration feels pointless most of the time and gets annoying, the gameplay isn't as fun as SoC's and it doesn't have the same feeling of "holy shit this feels really epic." I had my expectations really high though, I was expecting a God-like game. TLG is not a bad game, just didn't hit me as hard as SoC.

Out of all three I think SotC was the best since, it had alot of story elements put into it, and also more of a sense of dread. Also the world was more interesting, especially where the 16 Colossi came from. Which I hope we get a SotC 2 to help build upon the lore of the Colossi. (It's unlikely but anything can happen.)

+Lagomorph i think this is better than SoC because this story seems more interesting and the gameplay is cool and tbh i like the designs of everything in this game but tbh i do like SoC but it hated the ending like its saying "hahah BITCH"

The gameplay is fine, it's just not as fun and exciting as slaying Colossi was. Plus, there's the narrative that always shows up if the game thinks the player is stuck, which is pretty awful; TLG constantly holds your hand and is always pointing where to go, and the narration itself feels out of place. The narration adds little to the story itself, it's just there because the devs think that players can't figure things on their own or something. Maybe this won't bother people who just want a cinematic experience out of this, but for someone who likes figuring things out on their own its annoying.
Also, about the story, it feels kinda unnatural, if I can use that word. Imagine you're a kid, you get kidnapped and thrown in some castle where you're stuck with a ~man-eating~ animal and all your body is filled with tatoos. Plus, what you know to be a carnivore beast throws you into a wall twice and makes you pass out. Twice. You'd be scared right? So would everyone else on Earth, but for some reason this kid comments on not even feeling fear and quickly becomes comfortable around Trico. It just...feels wrong. I don't expect much realism out of video games, but I do expect a kid in that situation to be at least a little wary of it all. Maybe I could accept it if Trico never hurt the protagonist, but he did. This may look like nitpicking, but the thing is that the whole game is about the relationship between the kid and Trico, so I can't forgive it for not making much sense.
And the ending of SoC was great. What's wrong with it?
