these bosses feel like they were made for raids... not a solo game. edit: upon creating a new save and trying out a different build the bosses are doable by yourself. my opinion was heavily skewered by the fact my only save until that point was already in NG+ scaling the bosses in a ridiculous way against the player. however the boss attacking uptime to downtime ratio is still very much off. radahn and divine beast dancing lion are the most egregious examples. they just never stop attacking.

So in the end, Morgott was right only for all his brothers. (Maybe less in Mogh). Postscript: Miquella took the Soul of Radahn and put it in the dead body of Mogh, in addition to controlling the latter with her power, so in the end, Morgott and Mogh are the VICTIMS of that entire family. As Morgott said: Traitors engulfed in the flames of ambition.

This little boy had one brother who genuinely want him and rejected his affection only to go after the other brother who if this descriptions about them is correct did not reciprocate such feelings. I love that they gave the npc summons some dialogues. Hornsent swearing bloody vengeance on Messmer, Ansbach saluting Radahn and the guy bellowing his soul out to Bayle all add a little something to their respective fights. Wish we had some of that in the base game, especially in the Radahn Festival and when Melina joins in to fight Morgott. 🤟

I’m actually kind of upset that they reused Radahn for the final boss. It would have been way cooler if we got an epic three-phase fight against Miquella by himself.

In 1 versus video on reddit I saw him beat both malenia phases without dropping to half hp even with rot because he did a lot of damage and fast and in a second it was a close repeat of the 1st one only here in 2nd stage she hit WFD at the start and then again shortly later to win so in reality this is the dlc's version of malenia which would be lore accurate considering they tied in their war.
Am I the only one who feels like they missed out on the opportunity of being able to bring Malenia to this fight. As in you get Radahn to his second stage for the first time but you lose to them, you then go to the Haligtree as you would to confront Malenia but before you are given an option to tell Malenia where Miquella is instead of fighting her, which in turn will skip the fight entirely but you will never get her great rune or remembrance in that playthrough. The next time you fight Radahn and get him to his second stage if you didn't summon any allies Malenia will be summoned to assist you in taking down Radahn, kinda like what gael does in ds3 in the sister friede boss fight.
Read The Young Lions set item description.. Malenia was aware of this happening, she has no reason to fight Radahn and she knew that this was Miquellas plan all along. Her ultimate goal was to assist Miquella in his ascension to godhood, Radahn was never truly her enemy. Why they fought before isn’t really fully known AFAIK, my guess is that Radahn wanted a true death against a warrior of equal prowess before his soul was sent to the Land of Shadow, as he was willing to be Miquellas consort in the afterlife.

Hes got a ton of resists it looks like + incants. He ONLY does Physical and Holy damage, I was playing a full sorcerer and built to the point where I could take 4-5 hits from him both phases no sweat
Considering Ansbachs words at the end wanting us to become a lord not for gods but for men is quite interesting considering in the first place Ansbach was following Mohg who in tern followed an outer god and wanted to have Miquella rise as a god and be his consort. Guess my guy had a change of heart at the end

Watching this and realizing Aeonia can actually dodge several attacks and hit him from a good distance helped me break the almost 2 week deadlock I was in. I tried a lot of things but I didn't want to respect my STR/FTH build, so thanks for showing me how to do it!
lord's divine fortification, golden braid tailsmen, and probably the dragoncest's crest tailsmen. You could also use golden vow or boiled crab for more defense. Plus opaline crystal tear and the crystal tear that allows you to tank fatal damage.
Crazy that theres no secret super boss, prime radahn is such a chad that he demanded to be the final boss as the super boss. Honestly the hardest fight theyve ever made.
I was not expecting Radahn of all demigods to be final fight of dlc. Like this was so out of left field that almost feels like asspull. I know Godwyn is dead and there was no way it would be him with Miqola (plus his corpse at bottom of erdtree really calls for being gate for another dlc). But Radahn...eh.

Especially considering Starscourge Radahn was one of the most cinematic boss fights fromsoft as ever made, they literally end the game on a downgraded version of him that's supposed to be "prime Radahn" when in reality it looks like a cheap fan mod. Holy shit, this dlc went from almost being a perfect 10 to a 7, this ruined the entire game for me. THIS is the final boss of the entire series, this is the final dlc...but they end it with a repeated boss that's been downgraded.
The second phase completely destroyed this,literal undodgeable moves,unnecessary AoE,infinite poise and hardly timed grab attack that kills you the second time,and the lore is not even that good,prime godwyn would have been the perfect conclusion,I managed to do everything without mimic tear until this boss,my heart and spirit are broken

im stuck on him rn but im also on ng+3 seeing how many hits you can tank is crazy i get 1-3shot by everything making this fight absolute hell edit: im also trying to kill him without any summons and without overleveling (SL 200) like i did with every boss but he just seems impossible rn
If you get tired of him and want to cheese him like me, then just use the best shield you have (for example fingerprint shield) with a bleed lance or spear. And get some stamina regen.

As a Fanboy of Radahn, i am disappointed they decided to re-use him as the final boss, should've just let him rest in peace, and just bring in Miquella or someone else.
I'm a fan of him too but I personally enjoyed that he was in this DLC. Maybe he shouldn't have been used as a final boss but wow was it always my dream to see what a monster Radahn is when he got his marbles intact. The only nitpick I have is that his gravity magic wasn't used in more crazy and creative ways.
Finally beat this guy after about 150 attempts. Hardest boss I've ever faced. Even with a mimic tear, it was still hard as hell. Is it even possible to solo him?
I finally beat him after like 30 tries. I used the fingerprint shield and mohgs spear. Vigor-60 Stamina-50 Dexterity-40 Strength-55 Arcane-60 I cant remember the others off the top, but these stats are all that matter for this build. Shield and weapon max of course. Also im around level 270. So all i recommend if you dont have as many points to work with is good stamina for the shield and arcane for the weapon to do bleed damage.😊
I don't understand why some people are dissapointed they reused Radahn in the DLC. I mean sure, but he has a completely different moveset and nothing like the OG Radahn fight. This works fine especially since it supports the lore. Remember Dark Souls 2 Smelter Demon?

I think this boss is cool conceptually but gameplay wise doesn’t feel great to fight. Its not a bad fight it just doesn’t feel like it has the mechanics of elden ring in mind for said fight, this boss is deserving of some critique to be 100% fair. i think they just went for as epic as possible. I've only given him a few goes so far and can get him into phase 2 but then he jiust destroys me so easily. i have zero clue how people can do this without summons but I know some are just amazing at the game haha
I personally enjoy this fight but I can see why people aren't fond of him. To me I love the rush of it and the"if i get hit by this beam of light I'm dead" mentality just adds to it. A lot of it is probably stockholm syndrome since I did spend 343 attempts on it(beat it last night) but I put him as my second favorite boss in the game(and the ost do be bangin).

Dude idc what people say. I can understand the 2nd phase being weird with the light attacks but I never saw a problem with it. I was playing this at journey 5 and I was still able to beat it. The thing that people don’t understand is aside from the light attacks in phase 2, this feels like a final boss. Unlike all the final bosses from other games, he genuinely felt like the most difficult challenge for a final boss and the fact that he is the final boss makes things even better for me honestly and I understand that people are gonna get upset from this, but accept it. We’ve never had a final boss be this difficult but be so epic when just looking at it. The ost is perfect, the boss itself being radahn and miquella makes sense ESPECIALLY WITH THE LORE!! READ THE LORE PLEASE!!! And finally having that feeling of accomplishing the impossible and beating it was too enjoyable for me which is why it’s number 1 for me. He’s top 3 for my list of best bosses in soulsbourne, but definitely the best for me. The ending tho is dogshit. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.
I added up his hp by looking at the rot and im probably off by a little, but with 2 summons (besides mimic) radahn has 118251 hp, thats more then 1 greyoll, or almost 3 fire giants of hp

In 1 versus video on reddit I saw him beat both malenia phases without dropping to half hp even with rot because he did a lot of damage and fast and in a second it was a close repeat of the 1st one only here in 2nd stage she hit WFD at the start and then again shortly later to win so in reality this is the dlc's version of malenia which would be lore accurate considering they tied in their war.

Am I the only one who feels like they missed out on the opportunity of being able to bring Malenia to this fight. As in you get Radahn to his second stage for the first time but you lose to them, you then go to the Haligtree as you would to confront Malenia but before you are given an option to tell Malenia where Miquella is instead of fighting her, which in turn will skip the fight entirely but you will never get her great rune or remembrance in that playthrough. The next time you fight Radahn and get him to his second stage if you didn't summon any allies Malenia will be summoned to assist you in taking down Radahn, kinda like what gael does in ds3 in the sister friede boss fight.
Read The Young Lions set item description.. Malenia was aware of this happening, she has no reason to fight Radahn and she knew that this was Miquellas plan all along. Her ultimate goal was to assist Miquella in his ascension to godhood, Radahn was never truly her enemy. Why they fought before isn’t really fully known AFAIK, my guess is that Radahn wanted a true death against a warrior of equal prowess before his soul was sent to the Land of Shadow, as he was willing to be Miquellas consort in the afterlife.

Hes got a ton of resists it looks like + incants. He ONLY does Physical and Holy damage, I was playing a full sorcerer and built to the point where I could take 4-5 hits from him both phases no sweat

Considering Ansbachs words at the end wanting us to become a lord not for gods but for men is quite interesting considering in the first place Ansbach was following Mohg who in tern followed an outer god and wanted to have Miquella rise as a god and be his consort.

lord's divine fortification, golden braid tailsmen, and probably the dragoncest's crest tailsmen. You could also use golden vow or boiled crab for more defense. Plus opaline crystal tear and the crystal tear that allows you to tank fatal damage.

I was not expecting Radahn of all demigods to be final fight of dlc. Like this was so out of left field that almost feels like asspull. I know Godwyn is dead and there was no way it would be him with Miqola (plus his corpse at bottom of erdtree really calls for being gate for another dlc). But Radahn...eh.

Especially considering Starscourge Radahn was one of the most cinematic boss fights fromsoft as ever made, they literally end the game on a downgraded version of him that's supposed to be "prime Radahn" when in reality it looks like a cheap fan mod. Holy shit, this dlc went from almost being a perfect 10 to a 7, this ruined the entire game for me. THIS is the final boss of the entire series, this is the final dlc...but they end it with a repeated boss that's been downgraded.

If you get tired of him and want to cheese him like me, then just use the best shield you have (for example fingerprint shield) with a bleed lance or spear. And get some stamina regen.

As a Fanboy of Radahn, i am disappointed they decided to re-use him as the final boss, should've just let him rest in peace, and just bring in Miquella or someone else.
I'm a fan of him too but I personally enjoyed that he was in this DLC.
Maybe he shouldn't have been used as a final boss but wow was it always my dream to see what a monster Radahn is when he got his marbles intact. The only nitpick I have is that his gravity magic wasn't used in more crazy and creative ways.
Sad part is that is Mohg's body possessed by the spirit of Radagn thanks to Miquella. Even in death Mohg couldnt be at peace

I cant remember the others off the top, but these stats are all that matter for this build. Shield and weapon max of course. Also im around level 270. So all i recommend if you dont have as many points to work with is good stamina for the shield and arcane for the weapon to do bleed damage.😊

I think this boss is cool conceptually but gameplay wise doesn’t feel great to fight. Its not a bad fight it just doesn’t feel like it has the mechanics of elden ring in mind for said fight, this boss is deserving of some critique to be 100% fair.

i think they just went for as epic as possible. I've only given him a few goes so far and can get him into phase 2 but then he jiust destroys me so easily. i have zero clue how people can do this without summons but I know some are just amazing at the game haha
I personally enjoy this fight but I can see why people aren't fond of him. To me I love the rush of it and the"if i get hit by this beam of light I'm dead" mentality just adds to it. A lot of it is probably stockholm syndrome since I did spend 343 attempts on it(beat it last night) but I put him as my second favorite boss in the game(and the ost do be bangin).

Dude idc what people say. I can understand the 2nd phase being weird with the light attacks but I never saw a problem with it. I was playing this at journey 5 and I was still able to beat it. The thing that people don’t understand is aside from the light attacks in phase 2, this feels like a final boss. Unlike all the final bosses from other games, he genuinely felt like the most difficult challenge for a final boss and the fact that he is the final boss makes things even better for me honestly and I understand that people are gonna get upset from this, but accept it. We’ve never had a final boss be this difficult but be so epic when just looking at it. The ost is perfect, the boss itself being radahn and miquella makes sense ESPECIALLY WITH THE LORE!! READ THE LORE PLEASE!!! And finally having that feeling of accomplishing the impossible and beating it was too enjoyable for me which is why it’s number 1 for me. He’s top 3 for my list of best bosses in soulsbourne, but definitely the best for me. The ending tho is dogshit. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.
I added up his hp by looking at the rot and im probably off by a little, but with 2 summons (besides mimic) radahn has 118251 hp, thats more then 1 greyoll, or almost 3 fire giants of hp

This dlc is a 7.5 for me multi hit combos from bosses, stun for days and hitboxes sometimes not working.
