You can also display future potential irrespective of your current situation, especially when you are a young guy. Women know that by the time men get to the top they are taken, so they move in early and try to lock down partners who they think will develop the way they want. This from personal experience.
Do you know why many times we don't want to mention that? because we do not want to remember the world in which we live, I do not deny that being aware of this is necessary to know the world in which we live, but if we are constantly exposing ourselves all the time to these truths we get depressed, and our energy drops, I when I go to work I put music on the radio to try to cheer me up a bit, but I never put on the news channel because it makes me start off badly hearing so much news about assaults, accidents or deaths, so it's true what you say, but we don't necessarily have to be exposed to it, we can't change the world, but we can change ours, we can choose our environment (up to a certain point), choose the people we are with (or the relationship we have with them) and dominate our actions, but above all, our perspective of seeing things, sometimes we avoid talking about it not because we want it to happen or because we like it, but because we have gotten used to living like this
