If I were to make this trip I would say we were so glad our speeder had doors that we could close. Other than that this is a beautiful trip. There is nothing like taking a trip by rail.
Grew up in Orofino, back when there were over 100 cars per train carrying logs to Lewiston. Spent a lot of time walking and riding motorcycles up and down Orofino creek going fishing or just having fun riding the tracks before I had a drivers license. Covered ,many miles that way without getting in trouble with law enforcement for riding on highways unlicensed.
Lumber was hauled from that mill back west through Orofino, etc. until maybe 2017 or so. I work a short stone's throw from the opening scene. Miss those trains.
I love Idaho. What a great way to see it.
