I like this guy on how he builds his model kits. No sanding of mould lines, no engraving of doors, no air brush paintings, no coating of polish on body paint. Just straight up build the kit. As a novice to the hobby, this inspires me just to build the kits straight up
Another great build/review by Chris. I just had surgery and I am catching up on all your videos Chris. I just can't get enough. I even watched several a second time. Keep them coming bud.
soo glad you did the stock and the gasser because I have mine still sealed and wanted to see if it was worth opening and building or just give away. I'm for sure building them, Thank you for sharing your builds and please keep em coming.
For all the time Chris has said “I assemble the roll cage in place” it nice to now know he goes threw the exact same frustration that I do. Only part missing was him possibly mumbling to himself “Damnit stay in place” cause that what I do.
Great job Chris 👏 👍 👌 so enjoy your videos 📹 👍 please keep them coming 🙏 👍 and here to help get your videos 📹 😉 out to everyone to enjoy 😉 😀 can't wait for the next one 👍 😀
Yeah I know what you mean about certain parts breaking at times! This is why I keep tons of extraverts from other models too. Got so many door handles just for that reason alone! Had a few break on me! Great video as always Chris. A little bit behind on my RUclips stuff...
Very nice build and review. Those two kits have really been popular in the modeling world. This is great for our hobby. Nice to see you using some aftermarket decals. Thanks for sharing.
I have been looking for some Chevy 2's and Nova bodies. I'm into Southern Modifies racing. A local driver always had those two bodies, once he left the 36 Chevy body. One of his sponsors was a body shop and they kept it looking sharp. A simple white body, gold stripe, and gold numbers. After those, he went with an early 70s Camaro body, before retiring.
That looks a really nice kit👍it seems to be one of the few gasser kits that bother to link the steering to the suspension 👍. I liked that you show your fumbles as,like you said,we all drop or misfit initially a part or two😣. Thanks for showing and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
Cool kit. I do see a problem with the car having a stock bellhousing. A race car would have a blowproof bellhousing that would look more like a large round can so if the clutch blows apart it will stay in the blowproof bellhousing which stops the clutch from hurting the driver and the car. I know because I use to use them in my race car and I still have both feet. Other than that it's a great kit.
Loved the video as usual. I agree with you about the directions. Most people ooh and aah over them but I doubt they have actually built the kit. I think their directions, though colorful are not real helpful.
I like the way you sub-assemble the engines, etc., prior to painting. I've been building model cars for nearly 60 years, and have always used regular tube cement. I'm interested in what brand of liquid cement/ plastic welder that you use? Looks like it does a great job, and fills the gaps in the glued joints nicely. Thanks, keep up the great videos!
He uses plastruct bondene, but any liquid cement for styrene will work. I myself use Mr. Cement by Mr. Hobby, plus I still use the good old Testors tube glue.
I started using liquid cement like Chris does years ago. Since it is thin, it does a cleaner job of gluing parts-just hold the parts away from the area being glued, and don’t let your finger prints get in the way. Most of the liquids all work very well-even testers. I like Tamiya glue-they have fast and slow settings for different applications. I hope this helps.
I watched you put some parts together. It surprises me how freely you apply the glue. Is that a superglue you are using on the chrome parts? It doesn't look like you removed the chrome before gluing the parts together. Your work is awesome.
Yes, it is, I don't have an issue with super glue holding but I also don't show my kits or travel with them, etc. They simply sit when I'm done with them.
That was the first thing my older brother taught me was to remove chrome and paint from the glueing surface, but then there was no such thing as super glue back then.
Can you make a video on how to package pre-assembled and painted models for moving? I have over 30 1/25 model cars now, and I'm moving across country and I don't want to have them break in the moving process
Do anyone know what kind of rear axle is in this kit is it a dana 60 . I was looking to cut the center out and put it on a chevy muscle car to upgrade it.any suggestions? On candidate was the revell 66 malibu rear axle and amt 66 nova
your videos are well done and i enjoy them but the Hpiguys stamp inter fears with enjoying the pics at the end it should be moved to the top or bottom out of the way so we can enjoy the really nice model pics
Thanks! If I leave the watermark off the images people steal my photos and use them to sell models or claim it's their work on their websites without giving me credit, so it has to stay where it can't be removed thanks to those people.
Thanks for sharing this, looks amazing., You make it looks easy. I'm a real newbie (as this query shows), just wondered which setting glue you're using, can't seem to find it & didnt hear You mention if it was CA or other. Thanks
Hey Chris, how Long does it take for the mod-pudge it dry,I bought some it seems to take a long time, maybe a day, great builds by the way,I like your details,I watch the cars you build then I buy them, thanks Chris for your channel take care friend
I have founded that often, super glue doesn’t work-cheap brands, expensive brand alike. I do clean parts prior-just wondering if I’m doing something wrong or does super glue go bad? I’ve been told to store it in the fridge, but that didn’t seem to help…
That's one of the many reasons I like you Chris... you admit to being human like the rest of us. That humility is quite appealing and appreciated 👍
I like this guy on how he builds his model kits. No sanding of mould lines, no engraving of doors, no air brush paintings, no coating of polish on body paint. Just straight up build the kit. As a novice to the hobby, this inspires me just to build the kits straight up
Thanks, it's 100% about the fun of just building models as a hobby on here.
everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy. Remember to SMILE it's a HOBBY and it's SUPPOSE TO BE FUN 😊😊
Looks great,I,m 65 and getting back in to modeling, again great job
I'm 64 and I've been wanting to but life keeps getting in the way, I kept collecting kits thow and retirement is not far away.
Great looking car. I like that you don't hide any mistakes, we all make them.
I like the way you show how the kit goes together now. I learn something new every time I watch your videos. Thank you.
Oh yea cool build!!!!! 👍👍👍
Really enjoyed building that kit, everything fit so well and the end results are GREAT!!
Wow U a Master Builder I love all your builds 👍

AWSOME job!!! Great kit!!
Great kit! I can see this working for just about any mid 60s GM especially the Amt Nova's! Great video!!
I wish you were my older brother lol. Great job buddy! Love all your builds, looks great!

Fantastic build!!!! I actually ordered two from modelroundup. Lookin forward to building one. The other will go into the stash for a rainy day.
Very nice build and review. Those two kits have really been popular in the modeling world. This is great for our hobby. Nice to see you using some aftermarket decals. Thanks for sharing.
Great build as always I like how your videos are longer now to show in detail how you do everything on the kit.keep the builds coming
Nice build...I want one of these...Very good detail...Keep the builds coming!
That mobius models 65 post looks gorgeous! Love the colors! It really puts to shame the AMT 65 gasser. Glad mobius finally released these!
Very nice work Chris super well done as usual
Thank you! Cheers!
Looks great always enjoy the builds.
Great build. Thank you for another great video! I’m going to pick this kit up!

Very cool gasser, well done.
Nice bud, absolutely nice 👍! I dig em’ both, so I went and got myself both! Haha! Awesome though, keep on rocking!
What a GAS, er, yea. Very nice build.
awesome video as usual....some day that will be in my stash

I have always loved the early 60's Nova. I wish this kit gave us a stock option...

I'm kinda surprised Mobius didn't consider that. Must of been an oversight.
@@kennyspaulding796 Still a cool kit

Gasser's 4 - ever ! 🙂🏁
What a SSWWEEETT Looking GASSER Chris 🤗🤗‼️KUTAW Buddy n God Bless All 👍👍, Gary.
Thank you! And thanks for watching :)
Awesome stuff mate, I think I prefer this one better over the stock kit.
Yeah I agree!
1 main item is missing, A MOON TANK!
Nice ♥️ job 👌

This would be a good kit to do up in a post-apocalyptic setting. Weathering and warping the plastic. Just saying. 😃
I enjoy your videos. Could you show more of the Box if it is worthy. Thank you.
Can you make a video on how to package pre-assembled and painted models for moving? I have over 30 1/25 model cars now, and I'm moving across country and I don't want to have them break in the moving process
I haven't built one in 40 years
Do anyone know what kind of rear axle is in this kit is it a dana 60 . I was looking to cut the center out and put it on a chevy muscle car to upgrade it.any suggestions? On candidate was the revell 66 malibu rear axle and amt 66 nova
I thought this kit would be one with the altered wheelbase.
Do you clean your Tamiya lazy Susan between builds? It always looks clean when you start painting. Mine has got 50 layers of paint on it.
you sure make it look easy got to ask what kind of glue do you use? your videos are very helpful as well!
I personally like Bondene.
What glue are you using?
I like Bondene myself but any liquid glue works very well.
Iam been looking at this 1 for a minute has anyone tried to make it a pro street car out of a 67 Chevelle or a big tire car out of a drag kit
Hi Chris, I assume the "red bottle" is Dollar Store Super Glue. Is that correct? Does it have a brand name?

Plastic to plastic I use Plastruct Bondene
Everything else I use super glue
What glue do you use on the chrome parts?
Appreciate your mistake like the rest of us beautiful gasser
Hey Chris, where do you get the Rustoleum engine colors?
@ hpiguys Workshop. where do you order your spray paint from.
Modelroundup.com carries model sprays.
I buy Rustoleums locally.
@@hpiguy do all Rustoleums work after primer is applied to Model or is it certain ones that work

The decals are kinds of meh. But everything else looks excellent 👍
What kind of model glue do u use Sir???
Plastruct Bondene works well for me. Thanks
The small palm drill you use...what is that tool called??
Pin vise
what is the skill level
I’m new to this you don’t use the tamiya cement on this build I want to do a car but I’m intimidated
