Im buying this Kit after seeing this Video. I love you videos and you make it so much fun !!!! Everytime I buy a new kit, I search to see if you have built it yet. I have made many mistakes and ruined a bunch of Models. I got many tips watching you and I'm doing much better, and I have more patience. Your method to pre glue certain parts before primer has helped me alot !!!
This kit just rocked up in Europe Chris - it's not cheap but I love the extensive chrome on the van (grille, wheels etc) and the fact its a long wheelbase van So I took a big gulp and pulled the trigger 🤓
I am so happy this kit came out! I built this kit in the late 70s in high school. No idea what happened to the model. Probably something to do with spending 20+ years in the Navy and Mom needing to move a couple of times. Not much room on the ship for models.
I really appreciate that you show little errors and mistakes you may make. It just reminds the rest of us that we will make mistakes too & perfection does not need to be our goal.
Yup, it's all on camera and no photoshop or editing to hide stuff either. (Note the paint flub under the decal on the back driver side door) Take care!
My aunt's boyfriend at the time owned a van customizing shop in our area. You would have really enjoyed the Van-Ins that were popular in the mid-70's. A friend of mine helped his dad customize their van and we drove it to a local Van-In. So nostalgic to see this one! Thank you
Another great build! I really enjoy your review builds, they give a great perspective of the kits and issues that they might have. I have bought multiple kits that I might not have purchased had I not watched your videos first. I am hoping to see the Ramchargers Dragster & Transporter Kit review. Keep up the great work!
That build came out much better than I was expecting from the sprue sequence. All in the assembly, painting and decals. The decal especially look great, very 70s.
Insane decal skills. It's never the mistake that matters - it's the recovery that counts - kinda like real life. This is a beauty kit. Three major components and plenty of spares - to spare (even a spare tire cover). While I'm not a fan of green, these colors look nice. Did I mention your decal talents? Thanks for a nice video - great way to launch my weekend.
I remember a very similar boat in navy blue but hull was in two halves and the top cover. This one is a very cool one. Chevy van was launched circa 1976 as Nirvana in overall white with a sweet set of decals. What a crisp work Chris.
Awe-inspiring build! Another home run!! Have you ever tried to cut out the sunroof and sides for the circular windows?? With some leftover bits the interior could REALLY come to life. As always, thanks for sharing!
great build Chris, you never disappoint. Congratulations on the HPIGUYS decal (I need a sheet of them) Always a pleasure getting awesome tips and ideas
Great build Chris. I love the way you did it. Came out amazing. I've been looking forward to this being rereleased for a while. It's a really cool kit and I can't wait to build it. Thanks for the build. I'll be referring to it when I build mine.
Very nice build. Neat idea to use the retro never seen decals. It looks like a good kit, and you did, as usual, an excellent job with the assembly. Thanks for sharing.
I noticed that you didn't use the spare tire. You could have put it on the side rail at the front of the trailer. You did a great job on this build. I like the porthole idea.
Well, Chris, this project has some quintessentially summer ⛱️🌞 fun to it! Polystyrene is the perfect treatment for midwinter blues therapy. I wish I could find a cabin cruiser and trailer in 1:25th scale. My guess is that one would require a heavier pickup truck, like the Ford F-250 (F-350?) Dualie, to tow it. Would you know anything about that, Chris?
Hi Chris. Was just wondering if you thin your Tamiya paints when you brushing them on or use them straight out of the bottle.. thanks for all your great videos !
How did you decide that prebuilding everything before painting was the way to go? I've seen it done both ways and have always prepainted before assembly. Just wondering if the fit is better, or what your thought process is.
I see you went with the 3 carbs on your boat, was wondering if you might be willing to hook me up with the blower manifold, I just picked this kit up the other day, and I am not sure if I some how lost it, or never got one, but I am in need of one! if so lemme know thank you!
I recycle parts not used after each build up. I simply do not have the room to store, catalog, divide and sort thousands of unused parts and mail them out to folks. Thanks for asking and have a great day!
No apologies needed, you need to have a life outside of your channel, I love your work and always pick up something new. I always look forward to your content, if it's a few times a month or less, I appreciate the commitment and value of your skill. I will patiently wait, keep your chin up, thank you for sharing your skills.
Once again, I wasn’t planning to buy this kit, but after watching this build, I may just buy it afterall!

Nice build Chris. Thanks for keeping me busy and out of trouble tonight.

Love the Great Outdoors reference!!!
You guys wanna cruise the lake in comfort, or would you rather skim the waves with Uncle Roman in a jet boat?
JET BOAT!
Yes sir looks great like always. Like always
Very cool model!
wow great job. i am your fandom from south Korea.

This a sweet kit thanks for sharing
Great kit, ordered mine as soon as is was up on Model round up

Car, boat & trailer what a kit ✌️🙂👍
Trailer needs matching cragar rims 😉

Its not unheard of! I have been taking my Corvette and Camaro racecars to the track with Ford Trucks for years now ;-)
Love the color , second pedal is a foot brace.
THAT came out awesome!!! bubble bath? yeah i need to get that paint
Just want to say thanks for all your help that made me a better builder
Damn that looks sweet. Seriously you did a mighty fine job.

Love it. I'm really only going to get this for the boat lol
Awesome job
Getting this! It's totally badass! Thanks for the review!

As always, nice preview and build up!!😎😎
Sitting here in the frigid Northeast and this build is making me long for summer heat.
Impressive! Just love that green and white color scheme, it really makes the whole thing pop.

So nostalgic to see this one! Thank you
Extremely beautiful work Chris KUTGW
Cool always 😎
Another lovely build. Great save on the boat stripes, it had me on the edge of my seat!😅
Such a great build you did on this awesome kit.
That makes a nice looking rig !!!
Very nice, very nice!! Gotta put that one on my list. Thanks for the awesome review.
Very nice Chris well done.
I want to do it up like the boat from "The Great Outdoors"!!
What a great kit! Thanks for sharing! Really like the boat.
Awesome kit 👌 😎
Fantastic job!
nice work! this is a cool kit and now I have to get it!
Very nice kit. Like the van, and lots of extra parts for other projects to work with. Keep up the great videos.
Cannot wait to pick this kit up. Thanks for all of your hard work. It looks great!
very cool and thanks for the awesome content
Great looking van and boat, makes me wish for Spring.

I just got this kit from my LHS. I can't wait to build it, I'm glad you used the mermaid decals.
Me too Vincent!
It's probably the same van body, but the chassis is different. I remember the NYPD van had a frame, which is funny for a unibody lol.
Very nice build, love the decal scheme (both sets)great kit.
Nicely done Chris. I'm going to have to order that kit.
That looks like a nice kit
Looks cool
A NICE JOB ON THIS KIT! Well done. Thank you for sharing 👍.
I'm amazed with your decal skills. The attention to tiny details is mind blowing!
That build came out much better than I was expecting from the sprue sequence. All in the assembly, painting and decals. The decal especially look great, very 70s.
Love the mermaid decals. Nice job Chris; looks like a fun project.
Awesome build great looking kit
I wasn’t going to buy this kit; but after seeing your build, it’s now on my to do list. Excellent job!😊
👍👍
What a terrific build! Great color scheme and decals. I definitely want to get this kit.

Looks awesome Chris! Love those decals.

I got that kit. Can't wait to build it. Great video Chris, keep em coming I'll keep watching.

Really sweet build up! I've built the van kit when it was released as the A-Team GMC van.
Awesome review and build! A kit to add to my list for sure!
Excellence build and presentation Chris, well done! Really like the color choices 👌
Awe-inspiring build! Another home run!! Have you ever tried to cut out the sunroof and sides for the circular windows?? With some leftover bits the interior could REALLY come to life. As always, thanks for sharing!
I've done the sunroof on other kits but not this one.
great build Chris, you never disappoint. Congratulations on the HPIGUYS decal (I need a sheet of them)

The other pedal ran a long trim tab that looks like a swim platform
Very well done Chris! Love the color scheme on the van and boat! Great choice with those '75 decals! The whole set came out awesome!
Maybe the second pedal is a reverse brake, as in the Ford T
I noticed that you didn't use the spare tire. You could have put it on the side rail at the front of the trailer. You did a great job on this build. I like the porthole idea.
Yeah, once I laid those nice decals across the back doors I didn't want to cover them up.
Thanks!
You have a good point . Why not use chevy motor for the boat too ?
You glued parts together and then sprayed?
Well, Chris, this project has some quintessentially summer ⛱️🌞 fun to it! Polystyrene is the perfect treatment for midwinter blues therapy.

Lindberg makes other civilian model boats but I think they are all different scales like 1/20 and 1/36, 1/16, etc
@@hpiguy , thanks, Chris!
Great video as usual, I need to get this kit. What masking tape do you use?
I like Washi tape and yellow Frog tape for most jobs personally. But there are dozens of types that work fine.
