What an epic comment!!! thank you so much. How was that dragonfly, so unreal. He was the true star of the show. Just did one on the Rab latok Summit EP5 S2 "What's in my pack"
I usually don't post comment but you had me smile wide for the whole 18min long video. Thanks for this excellent review! I've just bought the Hubbahubba 2 because Access isn't in my budget and for what im doing it'll do. Thanks a lot for your experience sharing and the good mood! Safe travels to you!
Thanks for this incredible message. How insane was that dragonfly 😄. I've actually gone back to using my hubbahubba due to it's simple setup. I just love how the 4 corner pegs are utilized for tent and fly. As a solo hunter it's sooooo much easier to set up in the wind. Thanks mega for watching. More vids out soon
You gave probably THE BEST review of the Hubba Hubba 2-man Backpacking Tent. THIS is the one I've been considering seriously ... but when considering the price, I have also considered maybe going all the way and getting the North Face Mountain 25 Backpacking Tent. I mostly camp in the Winter time, or Fall and Spring when it's cold anyway.
Thanks so much. I've also owned a mountain 25 WOW what a great tent is it, but it's heavy. Just picked up a stoneglacier skyscraper 2. It's an absolutely amazing setup but has yet to put it into extreme wid winter conditions.
Excellent review & content mate!!! Great tent selection. I've been using the Hubba Hubba for over 2 years now. Had it in 4 seson environments but 3 is the right classification for it. I'm very satisfied with its performance for everything you've highlighted. Best wishes & safe travels!!!
Thanks mate. I love the the Hubba Hubba and how the 4 corner pegs line up for tent and Fly. Wish they did this on the Access which would be way more Solo friendly in the wind.
@@JUSTWILDNZ bit hard in NI with non stop 🌧️ I'm heading to SI end Feb for 3 months perhaps something around Wairau Valley (Belnheim) or Pelorous River if you're down in the sounds area? Else Kahurangi?
Did you know that those red/silver rings on the hubba hubba fly sheet are ment to attach to the tent poles not the pegs. 9:25 for reference. Attach said rings to the corresponding side of the tent, they're color coded to line up the inner and outer zips.
It really is unbelievable and worth every cent. Just about to head in the hills with it. Love how that back sits up so nicely, way off the sleeping bag.
Hey, firstly thanks for watching. I take a small Rab Siltarp and a large waterproof bag/pack liner. The Ridge Raider is something you will not regret buying
I like your way of thinking. The Hubba Hubba fly is easier to put up in the wind as well due to the 4 peg system. Dude those Rab tarps are next level amazing. Hope you have one
This is such an epic question, I'll test it and let you know. The Front Range is one of my fav MSR shelters and not pushed in NZ for some reason. One tip is I get far greater stability with cutting a wooden pole than binding two trekking pools together....might just be the poles I'm using?
@JUST WILD NZ Thanks. I would be using it above the treeline with my family so i need a strong tent that i can rely on. Would probably buy a dedicated center pole.
Was easier to put up with bug inner first but I'm sure with practice it would work. This shelter has so much headroom but (like all good things) comes at a cost which is that it's not great in high wind but amazing in snow due to it's steep sides.
Rab saw the vid and sent me theirs so in EP4 I had a MSR V Rab and went more into "What's in my pack" in EP4 Never had this epic Rab tent when shooting this episode. The Rab won mainly because I was solo and the speed of putting it up. The Access2 has way more room, more breathable and close to the same weight it's just the fly when solo can be tricking to get up in stormy conditions and that Fiordland rain. MSR Access 2 is such an incredible tent and I love it, If there was 2 of us, hands down I would have taken the Access2. Plus I wanted to set up the Rab tent to see if it would fail in Fiordland conditions as it's not made for low altitude/wet conditions....Rab still kick ass in EP7 & 8 which blows my mind.
This is one of the greatest reviews I have ever seen. Your enthusiasm, demonstration, the dragonflies!! Thank you.

HAHA love this reply, Just running on passion for life.
Thank you so much
Mate perfect explanations and demonstration…thanks heaps
Anytime, thanks so much for watching. Have also just tested a Rab Summit tent which is also next level.
Best backpacking tent review I’ve seen.
Means alot Thank you. Just been sent a new one from Rad latok summit...WOW it's something else.
Will do an episode with it soon.
Great info mate! Cheers!
Hey Bro thanks

I get a bit of moisture in my access 2 from condensation, love it though, awesome wee tent
Yeah in those warmer months that hubba hubba is gold, the new colours are a bit odd for photos haha.
Access sure is a great tent.
Thanks for watching.
Awesome review! That Rab is next on my list I think…

Onya mate. Looking mint
Hey my bro, it's been to long. Hope life is mega rad
You can also fold back half of the rain fly for stary nights
Yep
Hey just wondering for the ridge raider shelter where do u put ur bag if it’s stormy conditions?
Hey, firstly thanks for watching. I take a small Rab Siltarp and a large waterproof bag/pack liner.
The Ridge Raider is something you will not regret buying
I’d take the hubba hubba and the Rab 2/3 tarp to put over it, dry area outside and a back up shelter if something happened to the tent

@@JUSTWILDNZYeah I’ve got one, it didn’t like Keas walking on it last roar 😂
@@tonystewart7287 😄 they also love sleeping bags
Notice your hubba hubba Nx2 is using the newer syclone poles. Thought these variants were for the American market only
Oh well I had no idea. It's such a fantastic tent that's so easy to set up solo in medium winds. Thanks for checking out the vid
What about Vango? The Vango Helium is a really nice little tent
I'll have to check that one out. Thanks for the tip
The newer hubba hubba is seam taped because they found problems with leaking in the nx
That's mega helpful to know. Thanks for watching.
I am interested in the front range but is it possible to pitch it both inner and fly at the same time?
This is such an epic question, I'll test it and let you know.
