Nardi played amazing especially in the third set, but it’s strange how Djokovic didn’t even try to run after some of the short balls and volleys that looked totally makeable by his standard. It looks like he is not really motivated to play his best outside grand slams anymore. Or he is closer to retirement than everyone thought. Even the GOAT can’t run around with 15+ years younger guys forever.

He was during 2022,but he let an old man Nadal
beat him from 2 set love, and it happened again this year against Sinner .

Expected it to happen to Nardi as well seeing him lose the second set. But he didn't! The problem is that the natural fire, intensity, and focus seem to be missing since the start of the year for Djokovic. He just seems to be going through the motions and trying to have a good time outside of matches. It doesn't suit the wolf mentality of Novak one bit.
