What I don't like about stories like this is when the author starts off with the names of the characters, which feels forced-as if I'm already supposed to know who they are. What ends up happening is I create a mental image of them on my own at first since the author didn't supply one, only to have to reimagine them once again after a description comes out- whether physical or character trait descriptions. And it feels like a chore. It's disorienting because it feels like I am missing important information. Therefore, I cannot connect with the characters, even after they've been properly introduced after the initial introduction. I need to care, or at least be interested in the characters *right away,* or else they just feel like lifeless drones with no voices of their own.
Thank you for your comment. Please email us. We are going to start the series up again next month. Can't wait to read your stuff
