  • CHANNEL ISLANDS Twin Pin Review - WOOLY TV #28
Wooly weighs 87kg/192lb and is 6'1"/187cm tall
    Wooly is riding a 6'3" x 20 3/8" x 2 3/4" - 38.1L
This sexy, versatile twin-finned pintail is a collaboration between Britt Merrick and one of the world's most stylish surfers, Mikey February. The two wanted to create a board that had all the fun twin feels but enough hold and projection to free you from ever wishing for a third fin or trailer. Designed as an all-rounder, it helps you rip in anything from lame little waves to double overhead rifling walls.

No. Size it properly and it'll work with average waves too

I preferred it in the larger surf and talking to a few of my mates that have the same board (and are very good surfers) all had similar feedback to me and preferred it in better quality waves.
Everyone has there personal preferences but I think there are boards better suited to poor quality waves than the a Twin Pin. It really started to excel in waves with more size and open face.

@@79pejeperro how does one ‘size it properly’?

Wooly! Love the reviews mate. Really helping me out with my next board purchase. Curious if you could compare your experience with the Twin Pin and the Big Baron. The BB is obviously marketed as a midlength where as this one isn't, but you and other reviewers have commented that you would be pretty safe sizing the Twin Pin up.
I basically just grovel on my log. If its shoulder and below and/or soft I'm on a log. I'm looking for a board if its shoulder - overhead (and slightly over). I used to ride a lot of short fish, so no stranger to short boards, but then I went on a big mig length kick these past couple years (and have had my most fun surfing during it). I'm 145lbs 5'6" and debating between a 6'0" (31.5l) BB or a 5'9" (30.9l) Twin Pin.

Hi mate, In my experience I would choose the BB. I found it still quite high performance but that twin feel. Hope you find a new weapon that suits what you want it for!

I haven’t got one of those yet. I have plenty of other boards to review first but I can add that one to the list.

Hey mate! Would you recommend that as a semi step up for beachbreaks over head high?

    Good!
how do you see the 6.3 for you?
my standard table is 36 liters,
    I measure 1.78 and weigh 92 kilos,
do you recommend the 6.3 or the 6.5?
Greetings and thanks for the videos!

      Thanks 🙏
Yeah I found that one fine. Paddles well and didn’t feel small at all. You should be sweet on the 6’3”.
