Shooting from the hip here. But I grew up in reading pa in the 60s to 80s and these are some of the best out-of-the-box reading diesel models I have seen. I dread going to the modeling forums to see this release shredded to smithereens. "End handrail chains sag 1/2" lower than prototype."😂
They could’ve done without the footsteps in my opinion, but opening the door and that whooshing sound I think fit very well with the model. You got to open the side doors in order to get to the engine itself, and priming the engine of course before starting it. I guess it’s all personal preference.
James fun fact on the 5513 it is the one RDG GP30 that still exists today it's the one that's preserved and owned by the BMRN
Cool! I love museum units!
This GP 30 a really superb model! Initially thought the two Readings were Chicago & North Westerns but don't know
Thanks for the review,, i keep my scaletrains ones, thanks...

haha, no kidding. Some people go to extremes.
I just chuckle that the first one is the USAF one! I know why, and I love it!
Hi James & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks James & Friends Randy
very nice locomotive, are these commemorative or military colors? Greetings from Poland 🙂
not a real locomotive but they designed something to look nice.
@ it worked out, it looks nice 🙂👍
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Looks like it was based of the thunderbird's livery.
definitely looks thunderbirds inspired. thanks for watching!
Broadway has improved a lot but they need to work on the motor and motor control. Otherwise, some nice models.
its a little fast out the gate, I haven't tinkered with the CVs to see how it operates with dropping the start voltage down a bit.
Wish they would get rid of the BS door and other sound, just start the motor.

@@northernohiorailfanningpro8899 if you move the loco it just fires up right away but no real starting noises.
