This song was the first time I had EVER herd a direct shout out to the gay community ...specifically the black gay community she laced it in so matter of factly..yet again ahead of the curve !!!
@@keonta81 Facts. A year prior she released her single When A Man Loves A Woman and for the remixes she released them with same gender titles and lyrics
👑Such a dope funky song written and produced by Ms. Watley and Derrick Edmonson, the entire album is 🔥 the new post on her channel on this album on her channel brought me here
Probably the best CD Jody did aside her debut. So under-rated. I didn't hear a lot of airplay as well but I bought the C.D. and the new producers put it down on this one. This is a must have C.D. for Real R&B/Funk/Hip Hop collectors.
Anthony Barbary I agree! The album from beginning to conclusion is strong, soulful, and groovy throughout. I have a copy also enjoyed it since I added to my music collection.
+Anthony Barbary Because this was during the time when they were trying to push the younger artists like Brandy and Monica, and Aaliyah, etc so ones like this if you blinked they were gone
A sweet song with a timeless beat. Jody had a lot of success back in the day but was way ahead of her time. Much of her music was amazing and totally underrated. She was and is a truly beautiful woman with genuine talent. Thanks uploading this video!
I don't know if I ever heard this song on the radio. I own a copy of the album and I enjoy it! More people should know this song "Affection" and the album by the same name.
yes i grew up in the 70's and 80's and jody was beautiful to just look at her and then hear her voice and see her clean dance moves. i believe love songs are fading or almost gone cause theres so much infidelity in relationships that people dont put there heart into a marriage but its about education and what job a person has. listen if theres no true love stop having No making babies
Ugh this song got no air play.. go figure.. its a classic Jody she went straight to the full flow .. smh no radio air play... DJ's you should be shamed
Don't matter if u're young or old, straight or gay. This classic will stand the test of time don't u agree?
Jody Watley is an timeless artist ❤
I remember this song came out.. It seems like yesterday...and it even sounds like it came out yesterday.
Love this Song and Her!!! 1995, I was 18 when this came out!! Astoria, New York City!! Good Times, Good Times!! ❤️💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽
They wasn't ready in 1995...
This was always my jam.
I barely remember Jody Whatley but this song just came in my head and I had to hear it ❤❤ music was much better back then
Has that Janet J (thats the way ❤goes) with a touch of TLC vibe..great production!
An element of nostalgia in this joint
I was living in ATL in 95 and they definitely did not play this but its a smooth cut.
This song was the first time I had EVER herd a direct shout out to the gay community ...specifically the black gay community she laced it in so matter of factly..yet again ahead of the curve !!!
Right not to mention this was 95

I don't know why it wasn't marketed properly. Maybe they thought she was on her way out.
Yes it was, I wore that CD out!!
Oh yes, I had the cd back then. Played it out, along with Shanice & a few others!
+Anthony Barbary Because this was during the time when they were trying to push the younger artists like Brandy and Monica, and Aaliyah, etc so ones like this if you blinked they were gone
This CD is a classic....
Totally unappreciated album, solid from first track to last. Video was very sexy.
I was 8 years old when this came out I remember hearing this song I loved it 🥰

I had a crush on jody when I was a kid
This song was good...probably a bit ahead of it's time. The message is universal though, and will never grow old. I loved it in '95, and love it now!
This was my song back in the day. I still like it!!!
I don't know if I ever heard this song on the radio. I own a copy of the album and I enjoy it! More people should know this song "Affection" and the album by the same name.

I love ya Jody baby! 😄🎵💞💞💞
Love this video by the beach. Classic JW video
when music was musiq
Sometimes I think of her & T-Boz then she sings naturally. Of course Jody was here before T-boz.
rickames if T-Boz did a solo album, I would have imagined it being similar to this albums style. Her vocals suited it too
This album makes me feel grown and sexy I love it
All good watch me bring it back
thx for this song is hott
showwwwwwwwwww
THAnks
Booker T Washington produced this track... I know him from Fairfax High School
I have the CD. This song and the rest of the CD were produced by Derrick Edmondson.
+Ron DayVoo You are correct sir.. Booker T was the engineer
I write lyrics to this song too

It did get some airplay. Depends on where you were at the time.
This song was on rotation in New Orleans at the time
It got airplay in Alabama in summer, 95. I remember about 2-3 years later I accidentally found the single in Walmart.. when u could buy singles lol.
+Anthony Dixon
Man, I remember singles! I got a whole bunch of singles, but Ms Jody was my favorite. So I had the whole cd. It was the bomb
the whole vibe of this song is killer! It truly is a mix of Sade, James Brown, and Ms. Jody Whatley lol
She was going for Janet Jackson here......
'Dee Baddest B'tch'..............oooooouuuuuuu!!!!!!
If I am lying check it .. I am correct
pretty much sure she had implants
Nice implants Jody!
I can't believe I only heard this song for the first time ever yesterday and now I can't stop playing it! Thanks @dwighthoward1 💥👌❤️🔥🦹♀️
