Just wanted to say thank you again, Last weekend I had to re-install NR2003 after all these years and I had forgotten how to maximize graphics and they were a blurry mess. Great job walking us through so easily - this and it makes the game fantastic yet again!
@AlphaRBLX You can turn off shadows and some other things like that and that will help your FPS. Also, you can reset this method by clicking on the Configure 3D Graphics and setting it to a different resolution.
@rogerpenskefan12 If it didnt work, just click configure 3d graphics in game and select a different render, save, and then select the render you had in the first place. That should reset it.
@AlphaRBLX I've never had that happen before, so I'm not sure. I guess you could try pressing page up and page down. Press C when your in the replay to change cameras. Wait, is it in Tv1 while you're racing, or just on replays?
1:07 for those who have Windows 11, Open settings and from then on its: System > Display > Advanced Display > Display Adaptor properties for Display 1. Took me a while to find but this is where it is now. It’s likely the same for Windows 10.
@TheAnthony5540 That was happening to me too, but I cant remeber how I fixed it. I guess you could try doing the calculation as if your graphics card was higher.
@@dreyfus66 here’s another basic tutorial that might work for you: ruclips.net/video/PTP1BnNVCq8/видео.html Keep in mind if your computer isn’t too powerful, you won’t see much difference. You’ll probably need about 1GB of dedicated video memory before it will look super clear.
Ummmm well I don't have a properties button or screen resolution button when I click the desktop. Only personalize, view, sort by, and new. I am on an Acer Windows Vista
I don't seem to have a core.ini at all, yet my game runs OK. Had to disable DEP, though. Still, I wish I could improve this though, since I'm sure my computer can do better...
My cpu has 1 gb graphics card (1024mb dedicated memory) , 32 bit Windows 7 system, my monitor is recommended at 1920x1200. I've done all of this as you stated, but when I get close to the 'rear' of an opponent car, the decals on that car are blurry. They look sharp, the farther I am away. How do I fix that? It used to be very sharp until I had a few drinks one night and starts screwing with NR2003 '3-D graphics setting, within the game. Whatever, I did, I screwed something up. Like I said, I've done the NR racing 2003 graphics tweak, in the Papyrus settings. Unfortunately, whatever I changed in the game under 3-graphic settings screwed it all up. SMH.
My dedicated video memory is just 0, is there a way for me too add some to it? It says I have 1792 mb of Total Available Graphics Memory and 1792 mb of Shared System Memory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
my game is now unplayable. The cars teleport across the track. Edit: I put everything back and it still didn’t change it. My entire game is now at waste.
does anyone know how to fix the problem where your graphics get crazy blurry in single player but clear in testing? Anthony Pellegrino had the same problem but i didn't get an answer
iiShad All you need to do is when it doesn't let you save, while the .ini is still open, move that file onto the desktop, then save it. it might reset the name, so rename it core.ini. then from there save it, overwrite the one on the desktop, and then move it back to its original place.
lol my Answer for C is 6409273000. I had to get a Texas Instrument Calculator to change the number from Scientific Notation into a number that I could actually be read in the .ini file.

If your dedicated memory is a low number, substitue it with a number like 128mb.
You can go into the menu and turn off some eye candy like shadows, reflections or other stuff. Otherwise you need a heavy duty graphics card.
I saw a web article. bullring also has an app now to enter the information and if does all those random calculations.
Hey, this actually works! I tried it, and now everything looks so clear and sharp!
Thanks a bunch, man!
@Hendrickfan54 The file is in C:/Papyrus/Nascar Racing 2003/rend_dxg.ini
@rogerpenskefan12 If it didnt work, just click configure 3d graphics in game and select a different render, save, and then select the render you had in the first place. That should reset it.
Thanks TNTMan you helped me out with making the game look like it came straight from your awesome videos
@95tornadoes Yep. They have two or three schemes for the 51 car on Teamrci.
I dont think 64 bit rendering has come out yet. You can have a 64 bit system, but its not the same as rendering.
10 years later, got NR2003 on my new gaming laptop and this still works like a charm. Still a boss, my man. :D
Hey TNT Man, thanks for all of the help! I really appreciate all of your videos man! My game is running to optimal speed now! Keep up the good work!
Looked up this video again after reformatting computer. Thanks; still works.
@collinw11 If it's the 2007 cars, it's the cup mod that the game starts with. The cars are just from team sbr.
@TheMagicalLemon01 If you have the demo, it might work for that too, but the demo usually sets the graphics high anyway.
Try a step or two lower like x900 or x768.
@Soupjr48 If you have no dedicated video memory, just pretend it's 16 and use that.
hooray! this worked! at first my graphics were sooooo blurry that you couldnt even see the cars! now they're crystal clear!
Thank you so much. Did this at the weekend and have eliminated the blurry details - looks great.
@AlphaRBLX I've never had that happen before, so I'm not sure. I guess you could try pressing page up and page down. Press C when your in the replay to change cameras. Wait, is it in Tv1 while you're racing, or just on replays?
I know I’m like 7 years late but thanks for the tutorial! The game looks amazing!
1:07 for those who have Windows 11,

Took me a while to find but this is where it is now. It’s likely the same for Windows 10.
Donate your computer to a museum.
Thank you so much! I just got a new laptop and everything ran great but the cars were blurry and track textures too... this fixed them. Thanks!
Not really, it just clears up. if you want to change it back, go into the game and click graphics options and pick a new setting.
@TheAnthony5540 That was happening to me too, but I cant remeber how I fixed it. I guess you could try doing the calculation as if your graphics card was higher.
I know I’m a little late to the party , here’s hoping that I get a response, but the core.ini doesn’t exist on my install of the game.
It should be in the folder, you may have to reinstall if it’s missing, or try searching your papyrus folder
@@TNTMan93 there’s a core config file but no ini one
@@TNTMan93 nvm that’s it.
I’m not noticing much of a difference

THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!! I was making a reenactment when all the cars I used looked terrible!! Thanks!
you rock this worked great ..... keep the good tips for nr2003 coming plz. thanks
Thanks for the clear and concise explanation
They've already made it.
It worked like a charm! You are a boss!
@95tornadoes Wait, what was his me scheme?
WOW !!! YOUR THE BRAIN.. THANKS ( i was getting so stressed )
the rickky bobby scheme
I think it works the same way generally.
Thank You So much, but why is the bottom part cut off?
thank bro you served me well
for the texturesetsize, just turn it to -1. it does the exact same thing
got question on robert cage.com can you make the kurt busch me scheme i really want and i want it for nr2002 please
Why set anisotropic level to 999?
Everytime i change it... the game changes it back
Thanks friend you helped me with this problem you have a subscriber more and a like
Ummmm well I don't have a properties button or screen resolution button when I click the desktop. Only personalize, view, sort by, and new. I am on an Acer Windows Vista
THANKS! WORKED PERFECTLY
what about for a x64 bit render setting>
thank you so much for your help sir.
in my nr2003, testing session has great car graphics, but the cars are blurry in races. any ideas?
this doesnt work on my directx, but then i tried on opengl, and it worked xD
my "rend_ogl" ends in ".dll" not ".ini". What do I need to do with that?
there should be 2 or 3 Rend_ogl files. One is a .dll file, ones a .ini
umm when you download it did it take forever?
the me scheme?
Will the graphics stay like that if you install another mod?
Great stuff man..thanks a lot
No matter what I do it keeps crashing when I change these settings. It's driving me nuts.
Nevermind, it seems that a mod I'm using doesn't like it.
My dedicated memory is only 64 MB is that bad??
in nr2002?
My dedicated video memory is 0 mb !?
Any ideas as to why this is?
I am on Windows Vista
I don't seem to have a core.ini at all, yet my game runs OK. Had to disable DEP, though.

a-b got me a negative number...

This made my game look 10 times worse... I did the calculations correctly and set the right values in the files.
worked perfect! thanks hoss
In ym windows 10... Screen resolution doesnt exist
What if your using 64 bit windows? Is it 6 or 8?
My dedicated video memory is just 0, is there a way for me too add some to it? It says I have 1792 mb of Total Available Graphics Memory and 1792 mb of Shared System Memory. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm running three monitors at 5802x1080 and the game won't run. Any suggestions?
Hey can you do a video on how to install patches for nr2003?
Who is here in 2020 laughing and choking at 1 GIG??....yeah i know this is 9 years old but i thought it was funny(NOW)in 2020
I have windows vista and it didnt show mb for video card or video card what so ever including screen resolution
it works thx tntman93 :)
my game is now unplayable. The cars teleport across the track.
Edit: I put everything back and it still didn’t change it. My entire game is now at waste.
What do I do? My game keeps measuring textures, so it resets all the modifications on dxg.
Yeah same here. It's a problem with Nvidia cards. Always goes back to default settings no matter what.
Set the Rend_DX.ini to read only.. the game can try all it wants, but wont change anything.
Leonardo Muller Moreira
Yeah maybe it's that. :/
I set my rendDX file to read only, and no matter what happens NR2k3 cant change anything.. it can measure textures all it wants but nothing happens.
Same as above. Nothing is changed but theres still 5 to 10 cars that our blurry. The rest are crystal clear
thank you, nice video
Hey, my game randomly starts lagging after about 20 min. after boot up. Any suggestions?
Thanks

i got a prob. i dont have a core.ini file. the game works fine,i have the 1.2.0.1 patch too. what even?
It says "Access Denied" every time I try to save the core.ini

what do i do if i get 32129022 would that screw it up
what if I am using 64 bit render setting??
I got a negative number for c
Thanks TNT!
where I get the mod 2007?
Will the FPS goes down?
There's something called Calculator.
Try it sometime.
it didn't do shit for me. You might to show your answers for A and B
thank you very much
Is there a way to do this in nr2002?
Um my dedicated video memory is 0

I'm gonna guess you're running a 1440p monitor or maybe 3440x1440? Mine is 4.2 billion or so with 2560x1080.
Does this work for Nr2002?
THANK YOUU!!!
hi my core ini is blank help me plz
@TNTMan93 the graphics are great thanks man
Thank you!!!
Is 6 the number for 64 bit
There is no such thing as 64 bit rendering. Only 16 and 32
I now know that because I never knew it in the first place
Made mine even butter
I did this just to fix my car graphics and the ai car has better texture than the player used car
