For me, I am clearing out my 2nd playthrough backlog. I completed my second playthrough of Y's IX at the end of February and beginning of this month. Then, I started my second playthrough of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition and am currently getting through it. Hopefully I will be finished in time for Ryza 3. Not gonna lie, but the Ryza games have been quite the relaxing experience for me. I could craft for hours and not progress the story at all and still have a nice, chill time with the Ryza games.
As someone who played through ,most of the Legend of Heroes series, Zero and Azure are the best part of the story, I experienced so far, imo. (I'm waiting on the western release of the 10th game, Trails into Reverie right now.) So you're in for a treat!
    Thanks for the video!!

A second playthrough backlog sounds wonderful, I have a bunch of games I want to jump into for a second time so I guess I have one of those too 😅 well done making progress in it!
The Ryza games are always super relaxing; I find the music in the Atelier and synthesizing make it easy for time to just go by, it's so nice. haha of course I'm very much looking forward to it!
And yes, the next Trails we need is Reverie! I hope I get through Azure before it. Thanks for watching! :)

Trails is def a series I've enjoyed vicariously through my friend who streamed the series over on twitch. One day I hope to dive into it myself, although I know they can be massive games for time. Void Terrarium 2 is a game I know nothing about so than you for the introduction to it through this video, seems interesting. Theatrhythm - I've tried the demo and I've enjoyed it for sure. Will have to get the full game at some point. This is always a favorite series of mine from this channel. Always a very enjoyable watch. In Feb I finished up Goosebumps The Game, TMNT Cowabunga Collection and Foxyland. For March I knocked another game from the backlog (Cars 2 for PS3) and hope to get Sleeping Dogs completed (along with the ever expanding Gems of War), but at the very least I just want to play some games and hope to make some progress through the backlog. Cheers, and have a wonderful day.

February was all about Final Fantasy VI for me. It's one of the big games that got me into RPGs, but I've never finished it, usually due to random circumstances outside my control (losing save data, things of that nature) and I'm almost to the end, and after all this time, I almost don't want it to be over.
I also played a little Tales of Symphonia Remastered on Xbox One. It's a nostalgic favorite, and also the game's first time on an Xbox platform.
And lastly, I started a new file on Persona 3 FES on PS2, another game I started and never really got to finish years ago. I've been playing it at a relaxed pace every now and then and it's been really refreshing

Im a serial game starter, so i have many in progress. The main ones im focusing on are atelier ryza 1 (preordered 3 so i need to get the trilogy moving), trails from zero, fire emblem engage, triangle strategy, and live a live. I probably will focus on finishing engage before chrom is out and then try to grind trails so I can jump into azure relatively soon !
Your videos are great and its got me realizing how big jrpgs are for me and my gaming style. Keep it up !

Great videos and games, i'm kinda burn out from roguelikes tho 😰
I have to play zero on ps4 before azure.
Already did on switch but i want all available trails on ps5.
In february i played a bit of octopath 2 (😍).
But i also have a very big itch to play digital devil survivor 1 on 3ds (smt game) so i play that instead.

These monthly videos always baffle me. How do you find the time to play multiple games within just a few weeks?! I assume (admittedly without much basis at all) that you live a more time-intensive life than I do. I work full-time but I live alone, don't have a partner, I don't go out with friends almost ever, and I don't have a RUclips channel demanding time to edit videos for. This last month, I more or less only played Persona 4 Golden, and I didn't even beat it yet! My backlog grows three or four times faster than I finish games on it.
    How.
    Do.
    You.
    Do.
    It?
    What is your sagely secret?!

    • @JRPGJungle
      @JRPGJungle  Год назад +1

I mean because of the channel, I can quite easily justify the time I play games which likely may help lol but I always wish I could play more too, I work full-time as well so there's plenty of time where I'm not playing and would like to be. I do keep (or try to keep) very organized and hype usually means I make sure to stick to at least getting some time into what I want to (or sometimes need to) play on each weekday (and weekends if I really like something of course).
But play at your own pace! There are months where I only play one game and don't beat it either and it's just how things go. haha as long as you're having fun, that's what matters!

    games I played in February
100%ed The Cat Games. Its a simple and short minigame-based cat game. minigames include trying to paw at the window to "catch" the birds that fly by, running around the house and trying not to crash into stuff, trying not to fall into the tab to take a bath, and a few others.
Got the last achievement for Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris that I just needed to play a level with a local party of 4(so I got together with a few people on in the game's forum and cranked that out). As for what it is from fresh for those interested, it is kinda like a trial based tomb game where every level has a list of stuff that it wants you to do, but you don't have to do any of it and can go straight to the end and it'd be relatively short but in my opinion that makes it lose the appeal. One level has you pushing an orb that explodes after a certain period of time and you use it to blow up walls to get through the path and that level has a challenge which is for beating the level without ever pushing the orb, instead you use remote mine to blow up to propell the orb in the way you want.
I 100%ed Iron Snout, which is a simple game where you only need 4 keys to play. You got wolves coming in from either the left or right side(sometimes they'll be flying in on a rocket above you or standing on a wrecking ball) and the goal is to defend yourself from the oncoming wolves for as long as you can. It reminds me alot of One Finger Death Punch.
Zeliria Sanctuary is an adult visual novel. At least, I thought so. It does have nudity but there was no actual sex that I saw and I saw no patch to restore censored content, and I had the free DLC that says it adds the adult content. You play as a soldier who agrees to participate in an experiment that teleports your character to a fantasy world(so you get Isekai'd), meet a small little purple hamster creature that is millions of years old who one of the species of the planet considers to be their God(his species created them) and you are to be taken to the kingdom run by that species to rule over them as their God's messenger.
I finally finished The Walking Dead, I got up to the last chapter at the end of 2022 so I finished that, bought the DLC for like $1, and beat that to 100% it. I should think that it doesn't need explaining since unlike most of the games I play, its not exactly obscure.|
The Room Two is a puzzle escape room where you typically have a box of some sort, that you fiddle with and fiddle with other stuff in the room. If you like Escape Rooms, you would probably like it but I recommend the first The Room game as well. The story is a mindfuck for me that my autistic brain can't comprehend but maybe you'll have a better job of understanding it. The second one has more of a horror atmosphere, but its not anything more than that. There's nothing out to kill you or anything.
Deponia I had played recently, but this time I 100%ed it. Its a point'n'click adventure game where you play as Rufus who is a troublemaker for the town with the intent to get off of the planet that is Deponia.
Kitaria Fables I 100%ed and picked it to fill my itch for the farming life that you'd get from stuff like Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and Story of Seasons. Its more of an RPG/Adventure game. I'd say that the farming is a little bit less of a focus. The money you get from your farm is important, and upgrading your tools is also important, but going in expecting a farming sim is going to give you false expectations.
I've been bouncing around alot more in March now though, so I haven't 100%ed anything in March yet, which is fine I think, I've been pursuing some letters that I think will be harder to do so like E(I started playing Ellipsis, but I'm not sure I'll be able to 5-star every level) and I started playing Stardew Valley to do a Joja playthrough since I never went the Joja route and to make it more challenging I set it to 25% profit margin. I don't know if I'll be able to 100% Stardew Valley because that would require beating Journey of the Prairie King without dying. I bought Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town so I've since started playing that.

Been spending this month playing through the older Ys titles which are luckily about 10 hours or so each as I don’t want to commit to anything big with Azure and Ryza right around the corner. I’m currently up to the final dungeon of Ys6. My advice is definitely wait until you can fully commit to Azure as there is a point in the story where things take off and it does not slow down until the end credits. Believe me when I say you will not be able to put it down.

I finally got a chance to play the original Void Terrarium in February and I'm already about halfway done in a very few hours (?) according to the trophy list I found online despite playing the Switch version.
I also got around to play I Am Setsuna for a bit since it and the 2 other Tokyo RPG Factory games, Lost Sphear and Oninaki, have been added to the PSPlus catalog. I haven't gotten far enough to give my personal opinion, but from what little I played, I really enjoyed it. But lately, my time is mostly spent on those JRPGs on my 3DS and WiiU as both of their eShops are closing down very soon, with a few dips in other genres in between.

So I recently finished FE Engage, and I found the story to be fine/good, but the final battle felt way too easy, and I didn't do a lot of extra grinding or spend a lot of time in the Somniel doing all the side stuff. I did play on normal without perma-death, but it still shouldn't have felt super easy.
I'm now playing Metroid Prime Remaster, as I like to break up my JRPGs with other types of games so I don't get overwhelmed. I'm not sure what I'll play next though. I still need to play Ryza 1 and 2 before 3, and I have the Digimon games and Persona 5 (and SMT 5) that are on my backlog as well.

At its foundation, Blue Reflection is about magical GIRLS. Introducing a male seems fundamentally incompatible to me. Indeed, there are no males anywhere in any other content (anime OR game), so Sun seems indigestible to me, as much as I may like the other BR characters. Is Sun fun and / or playable outside Japan? I don't see it in my Play Store. Otherwise, great video!

    • @JRPGJungle
      @JRPGJungle  Год назад

Not playable outside Japan yet. And yes, to use a male character in this pretty much all-girls world was a kind of odd choice. I have no other feelings on it aside from that so far, although I will say the protagonists were starting to look the same, so it does add a point of difference lol my guess it's for romance elements, but we'll I guess :3
